Reviews for "Throw It! (KB Game)"

Great job.

Great job with this. I might have to look into exacly what API is. I never did get the concept, but heard of it multiple times. Some sound would have been nice. But otherwise great game.

FLiXD responds:

It's basically drawing shapes with lines and curves, using AS, and filling them. So long as you understand co-ordinates and color hex codes, you'll be fine. Most of the stuff here was made using _root.createEmptyMovieClip, and then using WITH (MCName) to do the drawing. There really aren't that many API commands (<10?), so check out -liam-'s AS: API thread and have a play with it. Once you get into it, it's quite fun.

i LIKE it!

Pretty good.

If the challenge was to make a good game with nothing in the library, everything dynamic, and one frame, then it has been met. This was pretty good, I think that graphicly it could have been a lot more, but this was good. It's also very fast to load! My best was 108500, and I'm hoping to make it better in the future. Good job.

FLiXD responds:

Yeah, this is definitely an impressive score for a 6.3 kb file. I'm happy =)

Nice

Hahahaha. 6th place at 290000 (roughly). That guy in 1st at 710000 is insane...Well, on to the review. Great game, even though it's simple, it's extremely addictive and a great time killer. It's like the "shoot the kitten" game, but you throw your object instead of shooting it, making it more of a player-skill evaluation instead of just pushing a button and getting lucky. Nice work.

FLiXD responds:

"making it more of a player-skill evaluation" YEAH COOL, somebody noticed. You have control over the initial trajectory and speed - although after that, it's completely down to chance of course =)
