You still have it.
The action is top notch, and the overall look of this movie is great. The fact is, it's too great. It doesn't go with the writing. Personally I love B movie dialogue (Army of Darkness is a favorite movie of mine), But B movie Diologue can only work if the movie doesn't take itself so seriously. Every movie you make is an attempt at a work of art, in its style and fable like situations, but this contrasts so terribly with the dialogue each time that it just does not work.
So what exactly do you want your movies to be: Lighthearted with the same writing you do now, or Fable like tales that have more than 2 minutes worth of thought in the dialogue? Because I frankly do not like what comes from having it both ways.
I'm interested to find out the choice you make.
