Reviews for "Nim's Winter tale"

A cute and gentle story

I enjoyed this very much. The artwork is truly amazing compared to anything Flash I have seen. I thank you for sharing Nim's story with us and look forward to future entries.

I also wanted to comment on the hanging of the key. I fealt touched when I saw that. In a world where the general view of a random person on the street grows more and more hostile every year... I just saw this as a reminder of Good Will. Thank you.

Pretty nice...

The little fairy creature was very cute and the backgrounds were beautiful, especially the sunrise at the end. The story got a little dull in the middle but the music kept my attention. All in all very nice and a good change of pace from most NG material.

^__^

This was an exceptionally beautiful piece of work, and I hardly expected to see something like that on the front page. The backgrounds were awesome, and the music fit well. Overall it had a nice mood, I'm just sad it had to end.

You have potential, I'll give you that... again.

Once again, as in my review on Gooberstory, you have potential but little things get in the way. The story on this one was better but also felt wierd and unexplained. The graphics were nice but they lacked consistency and didn't all fit. The wierd bouncy monsters were too cartoony, looked like flash creations. The tree trunks reminded me of photoshop and were too skinny anyway. Sometimes the backgrounds were pixelated, and only once was there any blurring, and since it was only there once, it was out of place. A few things were very well done and looked three dimentional, but other things looked very two dimentional.

Careful when you're making these! The style and feel is the whole thing, and inconsistency and confusion are destroying the feel. If you blur one background, blur them all. If one character looks cartoony, they all should.

(As a side note, the horse and the dog amazed me, nothing else did.)

AMAZING!

Possibly the most beautiful move i have seen on newgrounds
