Reviews for "Invasion 3"

GOod start

A good start but I thought it had two flaws:

1)what happens to your surviving troops? I think that if they survive the battle you should get them for the next round. THis would also help when you make the game more difficult. It seemed a little easy and it being easy also made investing in unit upgrades pointless.

2) it grew a little boring, buy troops attack castle. what if you also had to attack enemy armies or villiages? then it would truly be an invastion game!

But other than those two faults GREAT GAME keep up the good work

Good, but still much room for improvement

It's far too easy, as people have said, with just a load of archers (or perhaps with a load of infantry.. i find you only need to spend half your cash on them to beat a level, as they are so cheap). I think much more variety in the enemy's defence is needed, as the arrows and pitch get very boring after a while - how about a moat, which must be slowly filled in? and perhaps burning pitch ditches? (but that may require giving units individual health points, or perhaps a random chance to kill them) and some defensive heavy weapons? Enemy units will sort out the archers problem, while they can have little fights with any of your hand to hand units. you should also vary the armour your units possess, from 1 hit for infantry and archers to several for cavalry and rams. oh, and a small thing, stop the quality resetting after each level.

Other than all that, it's a great game, and a nice change from defend your castle (if one was needed :) ). Just needs a little time spent reading all these reviews, and taking up the suggestions.

Too easy

All you have to do is deploy a lare amount of archers and a few fletcheries to turn the castles to a pile of rubble. Still, it could use some improvements:

Your troops should have some more balance, I deployed some knights and they died each with a single arrow, same for the infantry and archers. The only exceptions seemed to be the rams and cannons.

The castles should have other forms of defense other than an increasing number of arrows and falling water(shouldn't that be pitch?), such as some troops of their own, outer walls and maybe some bosses.

It would be great if the troops that survived the last battle could be used in the next, instead of losing them all at the end of each battle.

Otherwise, great game!

Needs Improvement

Great potential, but ill list out some ways to improve

1) The catsle deffinately needs more ways of defense, not just pouring water (shouldnt it be pitch?) on soldirs.

2) Should have a statistics menu saying howmany of each unit you have left, that way when the catsle is demolished, you should get to keep the remaining soldiers.

3) A boss deffinately sounds good, perahps every 10 levels put out a monster/ boss to entertain us an to stop us from getting too rich or powerful.

4) A storyline would be great, just a crappy one will suffice for now, but deffinately have some story.

Make some of those improvements, and i think youll get a WAY higher score.

requires improvement

well first of all, try thinking of a storyline? or maybe even an ending, I've got to level 20, and I'm bored. This game seems to be going no where.

secondly, the castle needs to have more defences. Simply increasing the number of arrows, the power of the water (shouldn't it be hot sludge?) gets boring after a while. Consider having enemy units, barricades, catapults (cannons?) and perhaps even bosses.

thirdly, the units available are extremely imbalanced. Infact, I found that the only way to win is to get many archers and archery upgrades. Other methods don't work. Also, instead of only increasing on the unit's power, consider improving on their durability. I find it stupid that cavalry and infantry both die from one single shot of arrow.

Fourthly, maybe increase the type of units? Like shield-bearers, ladder carriers, axemen and crossbowmen? For more examples, refer to Age of Empire games.

Lastly, this is a great game with potential. Add some improvements and this game rox.
