This is twisted trash.
This began by looking as though it could appear deep and or symbolic. but it had no point. Except that death is the alternative to tyranny. Depressing and gothic this is artistic but there is a fine line with art and trash. You had something going, it looked good but try something with out smiley faces blowing each other and use that creativty to show something more powerful.
Melodramatic, and mediocre at best.
It would take up entirely too much room to explain exactly what's wrong or missing with "Smile", and I don't feel like wasting that much thinking time or NG space. People who are trying to say how "deep" it is and how it's "political" and such are, I think, reeeeally off. Someone said it made them think of highschool, and I agree more with that than the others. You had a message, but you didn't convey it well or particularly artisticly -- just (melo)dramatically. This reminded me of tons of similar films and flashes, some of which did the thing right and some of which were very crappy. My friend said "Smile" reminded him of the book 1984. I guess everyone gets their own message from "Smile", but personally I think it's mediocre at best. I get the impression that the creator is probably actually cooler and capable of cooler things than this animation.

Wow... this was... wow... Could be better with some gorey sound effects, but it was still good. Just remember.... SMILE OR DIE!!!!

Now to respond to misters's "Moron" post: Look, you are making a fool of yourself and a moron by arguing with all of them. The post you made is kind of egoistical, you don't have to think you're the best. They're all humans.
