Nah, i'm not a fan of the line tool either. If you use the line tool make sure you use it's best asset and straighten/smooth your lines, fix them up nice and 'technical'. Lines are never gunna fit in a scruffy look.

I hate doing 'technical drawings' even on the smaller scale of drawing, say a car for instance.

Myself and Luis were playing lots of retro games (Teenage mutant ninja turtles, Cadillacs and dinosaurs, Marvel Vs Capcom, the SIMPSONS ARCADE!!!) last night, and so while Luis is sleeping I had to do some sprite drawing. I did the run cycle for this guy about a week ago I think, it's on the last couple of pages. All of these new ones are static sprites that are there to hold for a few frames in that classic style.

Retro games are really cool to look at and get ideas from. Like they only use a few frames per action. They use frames sparingly, but not because they can't do it, check out some of the attacks they are really nice. They pick out the frames that are nessecary, and do them sort of thing.

Really good - you've got a great style there. Are you going to be using it in anything?

Looks like E.T. on steroids ;)

I decided to screen record one of my speed paintings and speed it up and upload it to YouTube.
Check it out if you have the time.

it looks really good, but for how long tracing takes its not really worth it, especially in movies wwhen you'll only see the objects for a couple seconds

Thanks a lot. I tried recording another one but I don't really like it. That's the thing about speed painting; I never know how it will come out looking.
