I drew it, but I used a pic of a 350z from a day by day calender as reference, and I basically fiddled around with my new tablet until I finished the pic. Thanks for asking.

thanks. appreciate it. and that disco ball is actually an un-smoothed, un-textured light. i will be rid of it soon. and i guess i can post the next render.

this one is not lit as well. something whent wrong, and i did not have time to render again with reduced lighting. i like the backroom in the backgrounds, looks good to me. and again, that wall is transparent. something is going very wrong...

I'm not at all familiar with maya in particular but I can think of several problems that may have occured with my limited use with 3d

Sometimes when one objects breaks the plane of another object, it'll affect that part of the other object. Try seeing whether one of those white boxes arn't doing that.
And the wall for the next room, are there blinding lights on both sides? That might do something.
I definitely think this a problem that was create with the initial setup of the room. Look and render from more angles and see if it's transparent in all of them. Definitely tone down the lighting.

Also in the second one. Is that a cylinder in the wall? If so that it out, the program might be thinking it's supposed to be making it visible.

Lastly, it appears that on the second picture, the stuff that is behind the transparent wall is made even more slightly transparent which makes me think that the problem is either at the wall or near where the guy is sitting down.

You need more confident lines.
The jagged sketchy look doesn't look right for a fish. They're meant to be streamlined.

Yeah I agree, and the teeth need to be changed too, well could be.

Started on something new today. It's basically a whole load of manipulated tweens all held together by weak graphics and failing MC's. I don't like using a lot of tweens* because I just get lost. But I thought i'd try it for this.

*Lot of tweens - what I mean by this is like an MC within an MC within an MC. I dunno if it's something common to do, but each adjusts something different. Then 'inner' peices can be used for other bits and bobs.

Bleh, too confusing.

Comments on the stuff, starting with Angry-Banana:

Looks pretty good. I like expression. My only complaint really would be the mouth. Seems like there is no bottom to it (beyond the inside/shark gums).

Mogly: I got your explanation, and I'm not sure what that thing is, but I like the look of it anyhow. Simple and looks nice.

fuzz: Very nice background. I like how there's no outlines on any of the parts, and it all just kind of blends together. Any info perhaps on what the animation's about?

wegra2007: Well, while this is the Flash forum and hence most pictures in this topic are Flash pictures, it's already posted, so. Anyways, it looks like the top part of Mario's hat is not part of his head, and the part that sticks out is part of his head. Plus, it's sticks. It's not the worst thing I've seen come out of MSPaint (including my own stuff), but really not good at all.

As for something myself, well, I wish I had something to include in my post, but I have been slacking when it comes to Flash lately.

Looking great. Looks like you really took the time to experiment with lighting. While I probably would've tried to use more global illumination or final gather or both to make the lighting softer easier, it looks good, and I can see the effort.

As for the transparency issue, I'd have to see the file. If you want to send me the .mb, you can send it to TwinsenDude@gmail.com

I promise I won't steal anything :)

I really can't wait to see the final product. Make sure you email/IM me when you finish in case I miss it.

No more animated sigs. :(

That's looking nice ConAir. How did you do the numbers on the side of the coffee pot? A way you could of done it maybe better is to use the Spherize filter in PS (Filter / Distort / Spherize). Infact there's probably a better way still, I haven't really played with PS much.
--

Animated a little smoke explosion. I was thinking this would be a trail sorta smoke for when you run, but it's turned out a little to ambitious for that. Maybe when you jump or turn or something. It's for the thing I posted above(on the last page?).

Haven't animated smoke in a while so this was quite fun.

Animated a little smoke explosion.

That smoke looks really nice, I like the shading on the .swf version - though the whole thing kind of looks more like what would happen when a balloon pops or hot air balloon or something, all the movement is still really cool.

As far as the numbers go, I just played around with the envelope and skewing tools in the free transform section on flash. Definitely could of done it better by doing the spherize thing like you said but for now it'll do, I might come back to clean some stuff up later but I don't wanna get too hung up on the little shit when I've got a lot more work coming my way.

no shes not a dark person at all i was trying to draw proper facial shadow but its something that im not really good at all. i still need to touch up some things on the pic but im just sorta trying to figure out exactly what it is though.

btw if she was a dark person i would probably draw like dark flames to represent her or something along those lines

Well, there good and all, but there's nothing to them, just walks. You really gotta develop characters and you know, have there walk be representative of the character and all that, rather than just drawing fluid walks.

They are very nice though, nicely done :)

Here this is sorta what I mean Fenix. Have a go at just scrapping together some character in a walk cycle. I think it's really fun to do, I really like making little walk cycles like this, even if I don't do anything with them after.

http://denvish.net/ulf/1170379808_strong%20pr ick%20run.php

So yeah, I guess I literally mean animate a character rather than just simple sketches or whatever :)
