nice shading, brings out the texture
hers a walk cycle.. working on my leg timing to make it most human like
If your going for human like there's a little bit to much emphasise on the footing slamming into the ground, looks to floppy to be human, and i don't know whats wrong but the hand swings look just a little off with the feet, i didn't go through it frame by frame so i couldn't tell you where.
Other than that a very good base for any humanistic walk cycles you want to make

Your leg timing looks good, your hand/arm movement looks a tad jerky though, only towards the end frames. If you can get the carefree swaying arms down then you'll have a great cycle that you can further develop, and as I said before you don't need to put much more work into the legs/feet - those look really nicely done.
You've come a long way in terms of getting the movement down, it's starting to look very human like in the cycle's mannerisms.
always behind schedule.
Simeon, along with the rest of the gang. The guy with his hands and feet wrapped up in bandages is Sajora. Next to him is Quinn in his fancy red coat, dragging a coin tied at the end of a string with him. Then there's Dak, the big guy with a hammer in his right hand and a sword in the left. He also has an axe, but usually wields only one weapon, depending of the situation. The girl with the yellow hair and sky-blue cape is Roanna. Behind her is Ginny, the smartest of the six and probably the most arrogant too.
They all have unique and special styles of fighting, offering me quite a challenge when I start animating some actual battle scenes.
I've also worked a lot on the biographies of these characters, but I'll keep that stuff to myself, at least for now.
My apologies for the picture's low quality.

Very nice, though I think you should be more worried about the hands, since their motion is kind of jerky.
thanks for all the comments
on my next walk cycle ill put the arms on a sperate layer so i can really work on the easing of them
heres a clown i drew

i actually like the look of the characters. Origonal enough to be new. Could look alot better with some shading maybe. But animating fight scenes might take a while with shading....anyway, looking good.
Here is what i have been working on for the past month or so. Little more than a month i think. I will post 1 render now, and another with a character later. Tell me what you think.
ALSO, if anyone knows maya very well, can you tell me why the wall between the living room and the kitchen is slightly transparent? all the walls are part of the same object, there should be no reason for it to look transparent.....anyway, hope you all like it.
and lastly, its not 100% done. still need to texture a few things.

Exactly. And that's the only reason why I don't shade them, unless there is of course a noticeable source of light near the characters.

It actually took me three seconds just to realise that this wasn't an actual photo taken from someone's living room. Impressive. That disco ball looks misplaced, though.

thanks. appreciate it. and that disco ball is actually an un-smoothed, un-textured light. i will be rid of it soon. and i guess i can post the next render.
this one is not lit as well. something whent wrong, and i did not have time to render again with reduced lighting. i like the backroom in the backgrounds, looks good to me. and again, that wall is transparent. something is going very wrong...
Bin doing this for about 40 mins or so. I like how the tits bounce so far, and that she sort of squashes down between the 'up in air' frames.
Not finished btw and also slowed down to 12.

legs go to far foward and step too soon. also, work on animating with different camera angles and changing camera angles. like for example make a guy jump in the air and do a 360. that would be a challenge.
why is everyone quoting me when they are talking to the other guy! > : (

I drew it, but I used a pic of a 350z from a day by day calender as reference, and I basically fiddled around with my new tablet until I finished the pic. Thanks for asking.
Sorry about that, I replied on my other account, but you got the message. :P

I'm not at all familiar with maya in particular but I can think of several problems that may have occured with my limited use with 3d
Sometimes when one objects breaks the plane of another object, it'll affect that part of the other object. Try seeing whether one of those white boxes arn't doing that.
And the wall for the next room, are there blinding lights on both sides? That might do something.
I definitely think this a problem that was create with the initial setup of the room. Look and render from more angles and see if it's transparent in all of them. Definitely tone down the lighting.
Also in the second one. Is that a cylinder in the wall? If so that it out, the program might be thinking it's supposed to be making it visible.
Lastly, it appears that on the second picture, the stuff that is behind the transparent wall is made even more slightly transparent which makes me think that the problem is either at the wall or near where the guy is sitting down.
