That is seriously nice :D. It looks alot better without the lines. With lines it looks like your trying to be too perfect, i cant really explain it. Also thin lines arn't nice.

Anyway it turned out AWSOME

that's because of the way you shaded it all. the eyes looked like the light source was coming from beneath him, but the nose looked like the light source was comming head on

yeh?

Oh and btw no tweens were involved in making this :)
(music: Song2 - Blur) sped up a bit though.

Also I love your monster fuzz :)

Are you trying to copy Yotam/ Lazyboy/Lazymuffin? Because if im right he has done a music video or that song and your name is Lazyfeet, may be just me.

np, you just have to imaging your picture in 3d and mark where your light source(s) is/are comming from =)
i used the sun as the light source and it was in the north east side of the pic

There's one thing I've noticed about animating from animating sprites. It's one thing to be able to get all the frames and have them in order, but it's another thing to get the spacing right.

When animating your sometimes sort of rushing to get from one frame to another, or not so much rushing but in that mentality. You're thinking about what the character would be doing next, but that's not considering the amount of time they will be in a certain position for.

Here's some examples.

- Here I was thinking about what frame comes next. I wasn't considering how long to hold a frame or what.
- Same here. Rather than noticing the two key different poses (being strung up in the air, then landing on the ground before picking himself up)(in air, and getting up being the main poses), I sort of missed the gap from where he would pull himself together before standing up.

Here is a thought through version of the last link. It's not so noticable unless your looking for it, but there's a pause before he gets up, and without any xtra work that's completely emphasised the fall and the 'pain' he's had.

END OF mini-LECTURE.

Every nose I have ever seen in any picture has looked messed up to me. Like a snout kinda. Don't worry about it :P

Ok, I've done ALOT of practising and this one was a fucking bitch to animate, but it's finally finished and I'm very happy with the results.

Explosion 2

It's not perfect though, so comments and help is still appreciated. ;)

It's a huge improvement from the last one, good job.

Not to much to comment on, but I think it would look cool if you'd put like a white, low alpha gradient over the whole thing to make look like it glows a little more.

Doors. You'll know when they're appropriate.

it looks great. Only comment really is that you need to slow down the smoke. It quickly explodes, good, then it slows down and starts smoking, good, but the smoke disapears just as fast as it exploded in the first place. It should go slower.

other then that, it looks really good.

Well I am a big fan of Lazyboy but,

a) My alias I came up with myself - just means sometimes I don't feel like doing much :)
b) He has done a music video with that song but I've had it for a long time and I've wanted to do a music video for ages, coincidence :)

What a good looking mirror.

The shape of the nose looks a bit odd, but the rest looks fine.

It's not much of a portrait in the sense that surely a portrait should try to capture the person as much as humanly possible.

I like the angle and everything on it & the cut off at the top where the hair is in line.

Having a mess about. Particuarly here trying out using three colours. My aim was the make the twist in her body look realistic (as without colour it's very strange). My idea was to do it by distinguishing her back as her back by having it the same colour, and this sort of guides the bend.

yeah basically it is EXACTLY like cosmoseth. yeah its cosmoseths explosion. well atleast u copied it pretty well.
heres the advice:
explosions dont mean anything when u are trying to animate a movie.
so dont waste time making cooll explosions. you need to learn about movement with characters, not smoke.

I think it looks like shes twisting to much..
if you know what I mean..
try making the upper body less turned.

Nah that was intentional for trying out making it look convincing.

It's been on this page forever.. I bet this is the first post on the new page.
