Loads of abusive reviews here, almost all of page 1, and lots on the other pages as well.

WOW. Absolutely horrid amount of abusive reviews on Blair107's page. I'm actually shocked, and that's saying alot considering that I've been desensitized.

A few here.
Remember what was said about 10-star reviews that review stuff that isn't even in the movie in order to steal review crew pick being abusive?
There are no kittens in this animation, which makes Jujube's review abusive.

This topic is close to being locked. Everyone needs to be more careful when linking to reviews. They must be clearly abusive, and users who follow links posted here must make sure the reviewers are abusive. Just because someone links to a review, or reviews, it does not mean they are abusive. If you blindly mark reviews as abusive, don't be surprised if you find yourself with a garbage whistle. I am telling our review mods to penalize users who mark non-abusive reviews as abusive. So be careful. Also I wouldn't waste a lot of time digging up ancient reviews. Go for recent ones.
You guys heard Mr. Wade. I agree, some of the reviews you find aren't abusive but I'm here with some:
http://gr4ym4tter.newgrounds.com/reviews /flash
Flag all the reviews which you guys consider as abusive, if you doubt on which review is abusive and which isn't, just don't flag those reviews. Abusive reviews should call your attention and you shouldn't doubt about it.
Also, I don't want this thread locked >:(

I agree I've seen many reviews posted here which are at the worst borderline abusive. I suggest everyone re-reads the FAQ and rethinks what classifies as abusive.

Guys, keep in mind that just because a review is low doesn't mean it's abusive. Use your heads.

god dammit! if someone says in a review that a game/movie was a failure, sucked...THEN IT ISN'T ABUSIVE! JUST USELESS! everyone, let's read the FAQ rules, please.

Agreed. I want this thread to stick around. Don't forget what Wade said about sticking to more recent reviews.

Excuse me, if they say it sucked then it IS abusive.
You have to give constructive criticism in order for it to be not abusive.
Example: "THIS IS SHIT, UTTER FAILURE" = ABUSIVE.
Example 2: "This really sucks, you need to enhance the graphics more and the text was hard to read. Your grammar isn't the best and could use alot of work as well" = Borderline abusive, but with the criticism it's not abusive. You still shouldn't say an animation or game sucks, instead say it needs work.

They may not be considered abusive, but I sure as hell don't agree that they should be allowed to stay there. What good do they do to the author, anyone else, the site, or anything else? Reviews like "this sucks, it's bad, fail!, etc." don't help the author, and only serve to spam up newgrounds. People should learn to write decent reviews, and letting the crappy ones like these stay on NG isn't really an incentive for that...

The simple fact is that this thread is only for abusive reviews, NOT reviews that are just useless should be posted here. If in doubt PM a review mod. Read the FAQ section about review guidelines and maybe reconsider what is really a textbook abusive review.

I understand that those useless reviews aren't considered abusive, I was merely pointing out that I don't really agree with the guidelines surrounding these kinds of reviews, and that they aren't considered abusive. I recall a review mod (malachy I think) posting a screenshot of the youtube comment system, and said that that is the reason NG has a 'review' system, instead of a 'comment' system. And I don't classify "this sucks!" as a review, but rather a (useless) comment, which is a reason for me to find those reviews 'abusive', although they aren't according to the FAQ/guidelines. I don't flag 'em anymore (I used to), because I'd just get negative whistle points (probably) now that Wade told the mods to toughen up, but that doesn't mean I think they should remain on NG.
Long story short, they aren't abusive as per the rules, but maybe they should be?
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/47 9539Would this be considered stolen?
I would say so, since it's not from Alvin-Earthworm. It's the same everything except in French.

After ages in Garbage, I finally got back up to Normal :D
No abusive reviews at the moment though :(
To be honest, though, I think that the whole thing of not flagging old reviews is kinda stupid. Sure, I know the rules changed in '07, but that doesn't make a review saying "OMG u fag go kill urself!" that was made in 2005 any less abusive. We're here, in my opinion, to clear up the portal in terms of reviews, not to let spammers and trolls off because they got in there before we introduced the new rules. It's still abusive. What are your views on this?

Original
I wouldn't flag it, it does credit Alvin. If you look at the text under the flash it credits him there.

The description of the flash says that it's translated into French. Not sure if translated versions are actually stolen, but the original's author should be mentioned in the credits anyway.

I agree, if it's something like "this flash is the worst thing I've ever seen, it will scar me for life. I suggest you delete all of your submissions then kill yourself" it shouldn't matter how old the review is.

I personally don't see a problem with translations, in fact it actually helps the original author as it means more people can enjoy his/her flashes. I'd say the only borderline is with crediting the author, if they dont then yea, it should be marked as stolen, but as long as they credit the original author then I think its fine.
Back on the subject of abusive reviews.... this guy'slatest 2.
Dang... I pressed the 'useless' button instead of abusive for the 1st one. I'm an idiot....
