Thanks for the update! It's fun to see I'm on this list, but I hate myself a little bit for it. I just wanted to gain a few spots so that my exp and b/p rank are around the same number, I never wanted to be one of the top gainers after being retired from b/p'ing for like 4-5 years. That's just me, either I'm doing something to the best of my abilities, or I don't do it at all. Oh well, there's nothing better in life than Coop typing your name, so it was worth it. =)

Well, well...guess that I've got some catch up to do after leaving for two years. Thankfully, not too many people who are ahead of me are active, so it should not take that long before I re-enter the top 50. :P

Okay, this is the last effort to get things back on track today and then we'll see if we can shake down for regular updates. It shouldn't be all that hard, after all, should it?

Im probably going to be sacrificing a possible top 5 finish this month(Not that im sure I was going to get that). Last 1.5 days Ive just decided heck with it and I started voting 0 on everything regardless of what it was. I haven't voted 1-5 on anything in the past 24 hours at all. I want blams to make a come back and this is going to be how im going to approach things because I know my judgement of a flash that I watch is going to interfere with a proper vote as I am far to easy on things.

If I just 0 everything it makes it more likely for the bad flashes to go away, and if it is good enough its just going to pass despite my 0(though some of the bad stuff will make it regardless).

Also the fact that we are on submission 568079 in the portal right now and only 193,561 flashes to stay alive, that means a fairly high percentage of all flashes if not deleted right away will eventually be blammed anyway, so if I don't get that blam point right away it could pay off down the road when its eventually deleted.

I hate sacrificing saves to do this but its not like my 0 vote is going to send a 3.00 worthy flash to the gravyard so I might as well try this to try and get things where they belong. This list has proven time and again with some people getting over 2000 saves in a month on some occasions, and around 200-300 blams on the other list, that either there are a lot of quality submissions being put on, or that to many bad flashes are passing, and honestly I think its a little of both.

While I view it as commendable that you're taking such a step to retire from protecting, I personally view this as a bad thing, because if you're voting 0 on everything, that just makes you as bad as any save-whore out there that only votes 2-5 on anything they see on the portal.

I'd say drastically cut down your saves and still vote through things that you know are of enough quality to make it through, like pieces from recognised artists and stuff that you believe deserves to win awards.

As my voting revolution thread says, we're not trying to make the whole community into blam whores once more - we're trying to promote balance and equality.

While I completely agree with what you say, this place isn't going to become more neutral in the numbers until someone starts shifting things towards the other side of the scale which is what I am trying to accomplish.

Don't say it as if I am retiring from protecting, just merely taking a break to try and change the balance more towards the middle of this scale where it should be.

Fair enough, but voting 0 on all submissions is just like those that vote 2-5 on all submissions. Two wrongs do not make a right, after all.

Yes, I know I said that I was going to update nearly two weeks ago and I had a hissy fit over Dream-of-Duke's "prompting" for an update. I have been a little busy though, with most Saturdays now annexed for Cricket Scoring. Statistically awesome!

Finally I have gained another rank on this list. I think I have never been #15 before so this is my highest rank yet. It shouldn't be too long before I pass Rule either and further up ahead is FattyWhale who I might beat as well eventually. All in all things are looking good here.
