No what happeneds was in the first CROSSOVER CRISIS comic the P.E. crew is making a delivery to the comic book planet where they encounter the evil brain spawn and they seal the Futerama team inside a simpsons comic book and they have to interact with the characters in order to find a way out! Fry becomes barts substitute teacher, Homer and Bender become drinking buddies (...who later gets in a knife fight with snake and then XXX ned flanders jukebox and is on the run from the law) Leela becomes Lisa's guidance councellor, Hermes and Zoigberg end up with a cushy job for Mr. Burns for saving his life and amy discuises herself as Smithers to go undercover!
Professor farnsworth redesigns main street and ends up being placed in a retirement home untill he is discovered by professor frink and when Mr. Burns learns they are from the future he captivates them, becoming the main villain, blah blah blah... the two professors come to the rescue (somewhere along the line zoigberg gets horribly mutated into a sexy underwear model without the underwear) ...and they all go home safely!

anyway in the second one the professor accidently brings that very comic book to life, sending all the simpsons characters into their timeline!
they are all rounded up as slaves so the simpsons family hide out with planet express and become part of the crew ...I never got the ending issue so I dont know how it ends ...shame!
