can we make pornographic material for this contest?

im bored and feel like making an adult game for pico day.. would this disqualify me from the contest? please answer..

pornographic like what? hentai? theres alot of them so probably, but to me that would be disrespectfull, and if you said "pornographic" sounds like real, and i think thats against the rules.

Sounds like you were ready for a reason to quit :( Just listen to Luis and don't do it for the prize - simply submitting a Pico entry on the 30th is gonna get your cartoon attention by default. And it would be nice if more topic contributors such as yourself ended up submitting content than 'outsiders'. That's how I see it, anyway.

And Mas is right, a week is a hell of a lot of time. I plan to spend this next week animating most of Blockhead 9. You've got your FLA content back - what will you spend it on?

I would think porn would be ok.. i personally always wanted pico to fuck the shit out of nene. It always seemed like there was some unusual love affair going on and i like it when i see people hinting to it in their works.. sort of adds spice and personality to the series.. its not all pointless violence.. ya know?

And im probably not going to finish. I mean...its not going to be as good as the origonal plan. Im swamped with homework and alot of other things this week, not time to work at all, i'll have to think of a good way to end it without people being pissed and saying its to short.

if it was just animating the end of the fight i would be doing it but its all out of sync now for ome reason and the sounds are in the wrong order and i have to do AS again but youve motivated me so ill try my fecking hardest to get it in.

this is really annoying becuase the AS was taken off i have to replace all the V-cams but i find the layer it was on and thats har in its self becuase its named all the layers layer 1 layer 2 and so on but then after a few frames you have to find it again because its on a different layer again.

And with the actual animation it has frames where its just outlines no colour and weird things like that so if i get this finished its gonna look very sketchy with errors everywhere but ill get it done hopefully.

Here's a screeny from myself and Psycosis' game. Sorry folks would of shown more throughout this run up.. but to be honest it's kind of hard with a game to show screenies and what not, without showing the whole thing off.

Game is looking good.

We recently hit a couple problems.

First off, we have two scenes, because one of them hit the 16,000 frame limit.

Now, if we were to have actionscript in the second scene, that tells it to go to the next frame, and we only tested that one particular scene with Ctrl+Alt+Enter, could it effect the actionscript? Because it does not seem to be going where it should be going, and I'm pretty sure the scripting is right.

We haven't tested it with the full flash yet though, because it is almost 12 minutes long and the button is on the last frame, and we really don't want to waste hours and hours to test like 10 buttons.

The code I used for most of them is:

on(release){
gotoAndPlay("Scene 1", 134)
}

(The 134 was just an example)

Now of course for coding to go to the second scene, I labeled "Scene 1" as "Scene 2".

So my questions are:

1) If you only test one of the scenes could it effect the actionscript?

2) Is the code right?

Yes, if you're only testing the one thing, then it probably won't behave how you're expecting it to.

hello ... All the screenies are looking great... I come here often I just never bother to write... I'm making a submission for pico day, too.. I think this year there are going to be more quality entries than last year.. It also depends on if everyone finishes their submissions .. But good work everybody! GO Pico day 2007!

I got it to start working for one part, and hopefully the rest works, going to test it now.

I might actually finish this like....later. I would much rather submit a month late, but have a good finished product, rather then a rushed ending slapped on in the end. You think that would be a better route?
