I really don't know what I'm gonna do.
I'm about 1 minute and 40 seconds into my animation and I'm already getting bored with it. I don't know if I'm gonna trash it or not. I'm trying to think more and more on what I should exactly do. I want to finish this because I don't have time to whip up another animation for Pico Day. Maybe, I won't even participate this year.
Besides; I'm not even that good. I don't have a tablet and therefore I can't work to my full potential. I can't master the mouse drawing like others can. Eh, I need to get a job and buy a damn tablet. :P
Hm.
more of Luis
Don't think your going to be 'almighty' with a tablet if you can't do what you want with a mouse. Take baby steps first, than move onto giant steps.

Why in the hell do you need a tablet to be good? It just erks me when people think they NEED a tablet to make good animation. My FBF comes out great and i never use a tablet. And im pretty sure i dont have to mention Luis and his 1337 mouse skrills.
Anyway, think of a better reason for not being good like not enough practice. You know, an ACTUAL reason.
I for one am only done about 20 seconds of mine. Its going to be 1 and a half minutes long. So i got some ways to go.

True... I use a tablet and I know that the tablet isn't just like drawing on a sheet of paper.. It's slippier and the precision is harder too... If I'd known I'd probably try and get used to a good mouse... I can draw fine with a mouse... I'm just quicker qith the tablet cause I'm used to it..
Tablets do make your work ALOT cleaner in comparison to the amount of time you would spend trying to do the same thing with a mouse... But what I would want is one of those tablets where you can just simply draw on the SCREEN! That would be awesome!

yeah they're too expensive and maybe a bit to much for a casual animator like NG ones, one of those convertibla table PCs are cheaper that a simple tablet screen and more portable.. of anyone wants to get direct to screen presicion look for tablet PCs not tablet screens ;)
its just my opinion tho -_-
damn im focusing too much on details in my flash, i wish i could change and work on the rest of the thing cause i know most of the viewers wont notice those little mistakes but i still want to correct them and that takes time >_<
Agg. slowly gettin things along the only thing im really concerned about is the server for my game.. ahh.... i mean i was worrying about like the drawing and animating but got a fare bit done and its really the programming im worried about now.. multi-user programing is a lot different then regular flash actionscript.. im a little concerned with the server cause it might only be able to host 20 peps at time initially when i first release it cause i cant afford the full SmartFoxServer right now.. hopefully people will just take turns lol.... ill post a screeny of the interface when i get more time.. in terms of looks i think its looking pretty good!.. so far!
Progressing slowlllllyyy.
But I shall finiishisihsh.
Weeooh.
I just decided to do a movie last week. Its coming along nicely. :D
I have about 2 scenes done so far >.<

You mean my shirt? :D
Does it not shit you when you forget how to draw simple everyday things cartoony... like a hairbrush... come on people help me out here
All these movies and games look great, 'tis going to be a great Pico day.
Here's another screenie from the game with my friends, hopefully that's enough to make it look interesting...
I'm one of those friends.
Although its not often Psy would call me a friend XD
INTERRABANG!?!?
Thanks Murad136 for the sig.
can you guys give me any feedback on my pico design, it would be greatly appreciated.

Since I'm so bored/Haven't posted in this thread as regular as usual, I'll contribute a long post.
@23450/Luis
yeah, you don't need one to be good. I have learned to like the mouse, although I'd love a tablet.
Ever thought why Luis has only trusted his arts upon the mouse? It's because for the mouse part he does line tool work. Having a tablet is kind of pointless if you aren't a fan of the brush tool. Although he is doing more brush work now, he has gained his experence with the mouse.
@Lalo:
I'm sure your submission will turn out fine. You submission last year was good, but now you have a whole another year under your belt! UNFAIR ADVANTAGE! lol jk :)
@TimFrommeyer:
Frig, why did you have to join this contest in the first place? Your just going to pwn all of us :( Lol but seriously it's looking nice, I don't think i'm a fan of the small screen though. But kick my cracker teeth in, your work is swell!
@Atomic-noodle:
Not bad, but not exactly 'winning' material.
@Luis:
You're back!? Well, that's a good/bad thing. For those of you who were in this contest for the cash prizes, you have to continue working extra hard knowing luis is making something. Plus side, hopefully Luis will motivate all of us, and come out with a really nice submission. Always a fan of your work Luis.
@e-lord:
2/10 - Maybe next year kiddo
@Psycosis91:
Sup mate, damn I love that your attempted a drawn flash but fix those lockers. I know it's style and your proud and everything, but they are two sloppy for my liking. Clean them up a bit please!
@RandomNation:
Nice work, it has that real cartoon feel to it!
@Fenix:
Pretty good work man, can't wait to see the final product.
Now, if I could only make some head way on MY submission...
Thanks for reading! lol,
David M.

...come on man.. like ill just be honest.. its terrible lol? like maby a 2/10 it looks like u drawed it in paint.. im not saying give up like we all start somewhere but dont post something when you just start out and its that bad and expect some sort of nice feedback.. like im just trying to be honest...
Heck yes, my submission is coming nicely along, i have one alternate ending down pat AND a delicious little easter egg in there too.
Now i believe it is time to reflect upon our submission from last year. Mine was the 2nd of the day i believe... 1st if you dont count the one submitted before 12am ... and it got a score of 3.7 and then luis or mindchamber submitted a couple of minutes later... and mine was forgotten aboot... just a little bit of water cooler talk would have been nice.

Yeah I agree... if I know one of my animator friends are on the verge of submitting or something the last thing you want to do is bump heads and bump each other out. You all may see it as feeling threatened but its actually an unspoken code of ethics. Plus its cool to just be mindful of your friends' work. The portal is huge and alive 24/7 so just waiting a few hours and letting someone else enjoy their 15 mins of fame usually wont do anything to the power of your movie or your awards. Pico day and things that hinge on submitting that exact day are problematic though. Because the whole point is that you DO submit it that day.
But yeah, usually if you drop me a pm or something and let me know that you are releasing a movie or you want to know if i am then we can work sumthin out.
