Seriously though, the "real" february contest was post-poned and will be launched at a better time. This contest is fairly easy to judge, felt like it had better timing (with the NG AP Radio just being featured on the frontpage and all).

No, it's not for nothing. I'm maintaining a list of people who make fairly reliable judges - for future MAC's if you're names not on it then you might not be approved to be a judge. Being a judge isn't entirely without benefits - Last year the judges all got NG tees for the Christmas MAC - Oh yeah - and when people don't like the results then you get to catch hell for it - things like that. ;)

It's mainly a way for people who aren't competing to get involved.

This is, after all, a community.

I'm sorry that you feel that way but here's the run-down

This is the FIRST MAC where we haven't asked people to make music. We've run many successful MAC's in the past and every one of them has been what you are asking for. The next one's coming up are as well - this month is just a little warm-up to get people back into the MAC spirit as this is the first one of the year.

To be honest, we weren't even going to have a MAC this month at all but we felt that it's been a few months since the last one that we should at least do something. This will be a much easier and shorter contest and it DOES SERVE a purpose.

You might not understand right now but I can tell you that there are several future MAC's planned that are all tied together in some way. Right now you might not see any point to a PICO-music search but It WILL make sense down the road a ways.

It's easy to complain Dj-Svenzo but if you don't like this months theme, rules or anything else - then don't take part.

Besides - can you think of a cheaper easier way to get your very own copy of Alien Hominid or a brand-spanking new Newgrounds t-shirt and a pile of NG stickers?

Just think of all the sweet ass you'll get while you're out sporting your very own NG tee, riding your vespa with the tank logo on it... Women will worship you - Men will envy you - Tom will mail it to you!

Yeah i see a few people are a lil dissapointed aout this MAC being not about MAKING audio, but FINDING audio.

The point of this is to gather up interest from non-audio creative people, people who enjoy listen to music but who ain´t creating anything themselves.

Also, like LJCoffee said, and I think I´ve mentioned a few posts ahead; This contest weren´t even supposed to happen, the real "feb. contest" got postponed a few months ahead for various reasons.

If yo do have ideas complaints/creative feedback about the MAC contests, do what is mentioned in the second post in this thread;
