Could you have at least read the convorsation me and TooCool100 had in this thread on THIS page about a month ago? Just post regularly in Wi/Ht threads both large and small, without spamming of course, and be helpful and kind to any new people around the place. And that's all you can really do. If the members believe you deserve a spot on the list you'll get it. If they don't think you do, you won't. It's as simple as that. Although, I don't think the next election will be for quite some time. So you'll need patience. ;)

Another good reason not to be a Wi/Ht member. With the majority of the old crew inactive, why the fuck are elections only being held every 6 months? If I'm looking for regular, current, helpful Wi/Ht members, I'll head for RC's Regulars list.

And I must admit I agree with Denvish, from my perspective I classify about 5 or 6 of those people inactive and 6 or 7 inactive to the Wi/Ht. I really think you all should consider slapping on some more of the people who deserve it like SK, and d0gma. Denvish and ramagi should also be there but they've both already said they don't want to. Yeah, see you when this thread gets bumped sometime in the next month. ;)

When I e-mailed spancker about holding the next election he wanted me to postpone sending out the voting reminders. I was under the impression he wanted to run the next one himself. He hasn't responded since so I'll try e-mailing him one more time but if I don't get a reply within the week I'll hold the next election myself. It's only fair to the others who've been waiting patiently all this time. Hell, why not vote in 2 members this time?

Understood ~X~. I'm trying to find a middle road on this issue. Some people like the idea that Wi/Ht? elections are held infrequently and others would like them to happen more often. The same goes for voting in more than one member at a time. Personally I don't really care but with spancker's prolonged absence and the various comments I've read something needs to be done. I'll e-mail spancker tonight but in the meantime any suggestions would be welcome.

By the way, you could also ask gfox to hold an election at any time. Just don't call me late for supper (lol).

I think at one point thats how it was done, but we should have some sorta orginised date we hold them or something...

Not that i have much of a say, but an election is due, i was looking at the dates when each member was welcomed to the club, and the gaps inbetween each election have greatly grown. Maby thats because the elections have changed over the years and it's become more hassle which is understandable, with the increase of members. But maby more frequent elections would be a good thing.

I heard somebody say once, i think it could have been ReconRebel, "the wi/ht club is like the mods team, once your in your in for good". Well not too long ago WadeFulp said about clearing up the mod list, getting rid of a few old inactive names, and now with the departure of Osamarama there is probably going to be changes in the moderator team to come. What im saying is would it be such a bad thing to scrub a few of inactive names from the wi/ht members list ?

Awaiting a reply from the RCVL thread, it seems that the idea of anymore regulars coming in seems thin. If this is to happen, then it would become a task to nominate members to the extent there were not enough regulars for the inward flow. As I thought to believe, a member requirement was to be a regular.

Also Tom, I wasn't really aware of anyone that was 100% inactive on the member's list except for one girl I was going to include in my story...once. Maybe more, but I don't check up on all the member's list all the time, so I will see what the members have to say on that. It's a touch topic that I feel that would have a very split opinion.

The method to joining is not a matter of posting for a few weeks, but you really have to show your dedication to Wi/Ht?

You need to become a Wi/Ht? Regular by helping and posting once in a while to show that you are user that dedicates him/herself to the forum. A Member is more than that and it is not very easy becoming one, but I think you have to raise yourself a little higher. It's tough work and there's no magical formula or quick process to becoming one. So I'm sorry. But post here for a while and you'll never know where it might lead you.

Well, I haven't really seen you around much. A reason for that is because we might be on different times. Post in the LUL lounge, post in help threads, expand if you can whenever. I've seen you a tiny bit, but in order to be a 'potential' Regular, you need to follow these actions on a regular basis, as the name implies.

Please go up a little bit to where I mentioned how to become a Wi/Ht? Member. You are the 3rd person to have asked tonight, which is kind of funny. If you have any concerns, just ask. But please read my posts above to get the general idea.

Actually, Alkador doesn't have any say in the admission process. The only way you can become a member is if the 21 current members (look near the top of this thread for the list) elect you in. Elections are only held once every two or three months, and there's quite a bit of stiff competition, so you'll have to make a good name for yourself before you'll get elected in.

You don't have to be on the wi/ht regulars list to be considerd worthy of membership, eg. Denvish, isn't featured on it, however he is a very likely candidate, also im sure the current members wouldn't be against, voteing somebody in who isn't on the regulars list either.

Again, a high level is not required for membership, it's just common sense that the majority of the members have higher levels, having been at the site for so long, it's inevatable they are going to have high levels, but if a user is of lower level im sure they wouldn't be any less likely to gain membership.
