Unfortunately lesnar will lose the title to reigns since they like to shove him down our throats.

Reigns is the worst, he does not need a the major title again. Maybe a US championship run, if they have to give him something.

The KO/Jericho split was high;y expected, but they way they did it was amazing. There was no sign of KO turning on him before RAW, and clearly something HHH said to him was the cause. When it finally happened, it was very much like when a kid has to let a wild animal they took care of free.

KO actually sold that he knew he was going to do it from the second he walked down the ramp, until he pulled the proverbial trigger. And while he was brutal, he didn't seem to enjoy it like he did when he turned on Sammy.

As fun as the bromance was, it WAS starting to hurt Owens, who was always known as one of the toughest guys ever to lace up a pair of boots. Taking the comedy away will let him go back to being a badass, which WWE really needs in their top heels.

One of the problems with Jeri-KO is that both men can consistently put on AAA matches, but bad finishes tend to sour things, especially when EVERY match has a run-in of some kind. It just makes the champ truly look incapable of actually winning a fight. That IS a good way to build heat, but if you do it too long it makes a champ look like a chump. I legitimately watch certain KO matches and actually forget how good he is in the ring until he starts throwing his offense out, then a week later I forget again.

Jericho did an amazing job selling the breakup. Chris is great at jobbing, maybe too good. It seems like he is always jobbing.

I think KO and Jericho really did get along well. Jericho acting like a mentor to the younger Owens.

Owens does need to look tougher and use less comedy.

This is another reason why Owens should not drop the tile to Goldberg, at least not so soon. However, Vince has other plans.

RAW was definitely not the same tonight without Chris Jericho. It was announced that The New Day will host Wrestlemania, so watch out for that.

Also the 10 man battle royal ended in a draw between AJ styles and Luke Harper and they will have a match next week.

I'm impressed they are pushing Harper so close to Wrestlemania. Having Harper win is really the most interesting thing they can do. Styles winning would be a lot safer though. He's a huge draw and you are guarenteed a AAA match.

Rumors are Styles may be fighting Shane-o-mac at Mania though, so my money is still on Harper. Maybe Orton will inject himself as the Rumble Winner last minute, and it will be a triple threat. That would be an interesting point for him to turn on Bray, treating his rumble win like a MITB contract almost.

Smackdown did the impossible for many fans, they actually made people care about Randy Orten. He betrayed Wyatt by burning down the grave of Sister Abigail. Glad to see WWE going back to setting things on fire.

There's NXT announcing another UK tour, with a show where I'm actually living this time.

Going to be weird going to a show without a 7 hour train ride beforehand.

I liked how on Raw when the New Day segment came on Big E and Koi were both looking at Xavier as if he'd done something wrong; I think WWE played this as perfect as they could.

Fuck it I'll make Wrestlemania predictions, wanted to wait until RAW and Smackdown this week since WWE always adds a random match at the last minute but they'll probably do that this year 5 minutes before the fucking show starts

Jericho over Owens

AJ Styles over Shane McMahon

Cena and Nikki over Miz and Maryse (Also think Cena might propose to her after the match. That would be super gay)

Neville over Austin Aries

Baron Corbin over Dean Ambrose

Taker over Reigns (please god let this be true oh please)

Wyatt over Orton (even more please let this happen oh my fucking god please please)

Rollins over HHH

Bayley over Nia Charlotte and Sasha

Enzo and Cass over Gallows and Anderson and Sheamus and Cesaro

Bliss over everyone

Lesnar over Goldberg

suppose I'll take a swing at this one too

ATG Battle Royal - Braun Strowman

or maybe Balor

Ember Moon over Asuka

Aleister Black over Cien Almas

SAnitY over Roderick Strong, Dillinger, No way Jose and Ruby Riot

I really have no idea who is going over for the main event, Triple H is so fucking phenomenal at booking can he please just take over (pardon the pun) already Vince is trash

Well what do you know, not a single title transferred at NXT Takeover

Aleister Black vs Cien definitely underperformed, Black made a lot of mistakes, match felt rough around the edges

Match of the night was undoubtedly the tag match, but I don't understand why they're booking the Authors of Pain to look so overly dominant, who on earth is going over them without making DIY and The Revival look weak after tonight

Roode and Nakamura was a hard-hitting aggressive striking match, I guess the only move now is to move Nakamura up to the main roster

cross your fingers that Vince books him right

Maybe Revival and DIY are getting called up. The tag divisions on RAW and Smackdown have been needing new life for a while now.

Undertaker retiring was sort of weird, Roman could have gotten infinite heat for a heel turn instead they just made him the most hated man in WWE.

I was actually rooting for Reigns in that one. As much respect as I have for Taker, he was so far past his prime he needed to quit taking prime Wrestlemania spots.

And Roman's promo last night was awesome. He's not really a traditional heel, but he's becoming a bit of a troll. When the crowd started out screaming "UNDERTAKER", all I could think was "Man I hope Reigns comes out just to piss them off", and he did. Then he let them boo for 10+ minutes straight, and all I could think is "I hope he says something arrogant and just leaves", and sure enough he did.

Without being a 'bad guy', he has actually become the top heel in the company. No actual heels have as much genuine heat as he does. The way he pisses the crowds off is just so amusing to me that I'm coming around on the guy.

Glad Revival got called up too. Between them, the return of the Hardy's and Cesaro+Sheamus really getting over as a team, Raw's tag division might finally get some traction.

Was great seeing Balor come back last night. Having an all NXT alumni main event was a great sign in the wake of Taker's retirement and Goldberg going away.

Monday will be interesting. I don't think they are doing a full-fledged Draft, but I think there will be a bunch of trades happening. Writing Stephanie off TV for a while, and shaking up rosters is a strong indication Vince is maybe coming around to the Smackdown formula, and maybe wants more of that in Raw.

Even tough WWE always manage to fuck us up a little, I'm kind of hopeful too, willing to see what they can do with Tye and Nakamura on Smackdown and who knows? Maybe they even trade the Cruserweight division to Smackdown. Lets wait and see

Nakamura is going to have a string year. He'll be 2017's AJ Styles I think. Tye could go either way. I think that creative and the upper execs see him in the same light they saw Tyler Breeze. He'll get a little debut push, but if he doesn't capture the crowd, he'll be a jobber for years. That said, I think his gimmick is over, so he should at least see some midcard success. Whether he has it in him to be a main event player remains to be seen. Even in NXT he never really felt like he was going to be a top guy.

I don't think you'll see the cruiserweights under Smackdown. The only reason they are on Raw at all is to help fill that 3 hour showtime.

205 Live is filmed right after Smackdown already, so short of SD going 3 hours and just televising it all, they have no reason to do more. From a business perspective, they think only hardcore fans really care about the cruiserweights, and those people will pay for the network to watch 205. The one or two Raw spots they get are pretty much there to sell 205.

That said, it's possible you'll see some of the really good cruiserweight guys simply get drafted to SD as main roster talent. Neville is carrying that division right now, and his character is the best he's ever been. the CW's need him right now, but I think he'll be back on the regular roster in the next few years.

You may even see some CW guys form regular tag teams. There's a lot of potential for tag teams to shine right now with the focus on the Hardy's bringing back older fans, and teams like Revival hooking new/hardcore fans. TLC might actually be a dark horse for best PPV this year if they play it right, just on tag team merit alone.

Its been a while since I posted here but I'll give my thoughts on NXT and Mania and the week and general

That Tag team match at Takeover was great
Almas vs Tommy End (Alestier Black will take a while to grow on me) was solid but man I fucking hate Full Sail for not understanding LOS. Taking the Mask off was a mistake
Asuka is the best and her Toru Yano way she won was the best. She did nothing wrong.
Shinsuke vs ROOOOOOO was well average. boring, but not terrible

Mania was long as fuck. I watched it half tired at a pub and was like "jesus fucking christ too much shit."
It drained me mostly via pacing. AJ Styles did his best Tomohiro Ishii impression and managed to carry Shane to a 4 star match. The (Not) Broken Hardys came out and it was fun, hopefully they can get that fucking trademark shit sorted. Fuck that Owl.

the rest of the card was just sort of there. Notable exception was the fucking Brock vs GOldberg match that was fun. We made a game at the pub about how long it would last. I timed it.

Overall its a mania its fun but fuck did it drag.

Sakura Genesis is later today and I am going to watch that and see a much better main event. Cause Roman vs Taker was cringe and you all saw the outcome and no one gave a shit.

Shibata vs Okada will be great.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2017-04-09 11:14:20

It's hard to say what this shakedown will ultimately involve, but they are likely going to continue making RAW a show that coasts on big names and putting the good workers who need a bit more help on SD.

I think we'll see both Ambrose and AJ on RAW for that reason. They are likely going to trade places with Joe and Owens.

Balor might end up on SD to become the new top guy there as Cena prepares to take some time off. Nikki has a small herniation in her neck and needs to take some time off too, so I imagine they will probably be gone until after the wedding, etc.

Zayne pretty much needs to be on SD to survive at this point. Maybe traded for Corbin or Miz.

The women definitey need some shaking up. I can see Bayley, Emma and Dana thriving more on SD and Becky, Alexa and Naomi kicking butt on RAW.

Talent relations has probably learned from the Paige fiasco that splitting couples up is a bad idea, so if Naomi moves, so do the Usos. Maybe they get swapped for Cesaro and Shaemus.

They have got to be doing this with at least 6 month soft potential matches in mind.

Some predictions for the year:

Roman defeats Lesnar (who, frankly, is no longer booked as invincible) and becomes the Universal Champ. This guarantees money, because hardcore fans will pay to see him lose it, and kids will pay to see him win. Get used to it.

Roman beats both Balor and Styles individually, possibly leading to a long term Shield vs Club angle. It's been a long time since RAW had a dominant faction, let alone a faction war. They will, of course, rush through this and not have a satisfying payoff.

Baylee and Sasha end up on the same show, and Sasha turns heel finally. She'll probably be champ again. This will last 4+ months because there's just not enough women to do a year's worth of fresh AAA matchups.

Raw's tag division gets hot, but fails to be booked as important. Matches will be in PPV pre shows, etc.

Nakamura becomes SD champ relatively quick. Its not clear how that happens, but it shouldn't take long.

Naomi loses her title in her next feud. They let her win it as the returning hometown girl because it was a huge pop, but if she goes to RAW she won't be considered a strong investment.

Vince backs the Hardy's trademark case and we get the broken version within 3 months. Or they at least get the trademark reduced to the word 'broken' and just re-brand as 'twisted' or 'damaged' or something.

We get teased a TON that Angle is going to step into the ring, and it never happens.

Daniel Bryan leaves when his contract is up. He's been cleared to wrestle by non WWE doctors, and he's a son-to-be dad. I think he's going to put out a proper farewell match, probably for ROH or maybe Evolve. I could see WWE backing the Evolve match so they can maybe get video rights but not be on the hook if Brian kills himself. Regardless, I think Bryan will be going away for a while.
