Which show are you more excited about? Are you going to make signs?
Mostly smackdown since all my favorite wrestlers are there, and for the signs I don't know yet.

AJ styles is talented, and The MIz is good at getting heat. Do you like Randy and Bray tag team?

Well there pretty interesting so yeah I'm enjoying the Bray and Randy tag team.

And I feel like Orton will turn on the wyatts after they lose the tag titles.

I agree, he is the viper. I am not looking forward to John Cena's return. Unless, they actually let Cena lose matches.

I expect Cena will ultimately break Ric Flair's title count record in the next few years, but he'll never be a long term champ. He may be the guy that finally dethrones AJ Styles, but also gets someone new over. He's still their biggest star, and if they use him strategically he can do a ton of good without becoming a jobber. He IS mostly a part timer now, so you shouldn't be too worried about him hogging the top spot all the time these days.

WWE loves to trade titles , so Cena will break Flair's record. Cena putting new talent over? I won't believe it until I see it. He really ruined Russev's winning streak, and the poor guy is still trying to recover.

That new UK Championship is a gorgeous belt.

Tournament line up is solid too.

Why not just have a new European title? By all means have the tournament take place in the UK and crown someone from there but why make a title only for a small portion instead of the whole continent? You'd get more contenders and more support from the crowds/viewers overall.

Because the whole thing is a deliberate attempt to undermine the UK indie scene, which is the hottest it has been for decades, by stripping away their top talent.

The tournament itself is the same day as a PROGRESS show, and has stolen their World and Tag champions.

ITV spooked Vince with the World of Sport reboot, which will air this month on free TV in the UK. He's trying to nip the problem in the bud before anything like a real competitor can emerge.

Kevin Owens Vs. Roman Reigns (Universal championship match)

Agreed. Owens wins, but I don't think they let him win clean

Chris Jericho Vs. Seth Rollins

Rollins wins because Owens has run-in that backfires.

Sasha Banks Vs. Charlotte (Raw women's championship 30 minute ironman match)

I'm calling Charlotte because her dad interferes on her behalf. Ric being behind Sasha will be a red herring.

Rich Swann Vs. Brian Kendrick Vs. TJ Perkins (Cruiserweight championship match)

I'm picking Kendrick, with the outcome laying groundwork for a Swann/Perkins fued.

Braun Strowman Vs. Sami Zayn

This is an interesting match. It has to make Zayn look good, but ending Strowman's steak against a small guy seems like a bad play. I think it'll be in the vein of Shane vs Taker where Strowman wins, but Zayne pulls out some insane spots and comes close.

Rusev Vs. Big Cass (Pre show match)

Babyface almost always wins the warm-up match to get the crowd going, so I agree. Let's just hope they keep the Enzo/Lana hijinks to a minimum and let the big dogs shine on their own.

The New Day Vs. Sheamus & Cesaro (Raw Tag Team Championship Match)

Agreed. If Shaemus and Cesaro don't win, then what is the point of their push? New Day checked off the world record title run, and have nothing left to accomplish as champs.

But does that mean Roman is gonna get the Universal Title now? Historically, a world title contender losing a midcard belt is just something they do to avoid the mess of deciding what tile the holder has to defend.

Also, as far as the Rumble itself goes, has anyone else noticed how much of a spotlight they are putting in 'big men' and (recent) former world champs being in it? Goldberg, Lesnar, Strowman, Taker, Corbin and Rollins. And they keep teasing angles with Strowman, Goldberg and Reigns on Raw. Creative definitely wants us to think one of these monster guys is the favorite to win it.

I feel like they MAYBE learned their lesson about having older vetrans win the Rumble. Lesnar and Goldberg are pretty much set for a Mania match, and all signs point to Rollins vs HHH on that card, neither of which needs to be a title match to draw. That leaves Strowman and Corbin as the heavys from each brand.

If they can keep people focused on all the big guys, they have a pretty cool opportunity to have a less expected smaller guy actually win it and give the audience a fun Rumble result for the first time in years. Here's hoping they don't waste the opportunity.

Assuming that a smaller guy does win it (I'd love to see Zayn do it), what would you have Undertaker in there for? Obviously you can't see the future or have a say in creative, but how do you use Taker in the Rumble if he's not winning it? Does Cena or Styles cost him the match?

Hopefully not. Roman washed pushed before and it did not end well. He still receives are a large amount of boos.

They will need plenty of matches. I would rather see Lesnar and Rollins win there matches. Strowman and Corbin are both boring. They need to really make one of them more interesting to gain some fans.

Depends on how small you are talking. Will crusier weights be allowed to enter the rumble?

You know, it's kind of amazing. Out of all the stuff that WWE bans or doesn't want you to see or remember, they would post this to their YouTube channel. The piledriver is a banned move, has been for quite sometime in WWE, yet it was performed, and WWE allows this on their channel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYjIajo_YeA

I mean I know Cena is top bill and at the time Punk was top bill too, so you can't really fire them, fine them, but not fire. I love how you can tell this is mostly a new audience, because of the initial reaction to a piledriver.

I would rather see the Miz or even Dolph Ziggler win before Zayn. Undertaker could start a feud with John Cena. That might be an interesting set of matches. Both guys that refuse to lose going head to head.

UK Championship Tournament was fucking awesome. Just amazing wrestling from start to finish, and great storytelling too.

Sticking the belt on Tyler Bates is a bold choice. Obviously have faith in the guy given he's only 19. I saw him wrestle live in a nothing tag match in the middle of a Scottish indie show just a few months ago, and now he's the first ever WWE UK champion. That's a hell of a start to a career.

Was also interesting to see Mark Dallas from ICW, as well as the guys from Progress wrestling, appear on screen and be referred to as wrestling promoters. I know WWE has worked with them in the past to source clips of guys like Finn Balor to use in video packages, but was still surprisingly for them to actively point out that other wrestling promotions exist on screen. Even mentioned guys in the tournament who held belts in other companies and stuff.

Oh shit, didn't realise there was a Takeover this weekend. Assumed they were building to the Wrestlemania weekend one.

Card isn't great, mind. First time in a while the WWE show has looked stronger than the NXT one on the same weekend. Nakamura and Roode should be amazing, and the womens' triple threat looks good, but I'm not feeling the rest, and ANY match is going to struggle when weighed up against another Cena vs Styles match..

That said, I'd rather they did it the other way around. Put the belt on Taker, then have Cena's 16th world title be retiring Undertaker. Matching Flair should be a big deal after all.
