He's gonna make AJ and Jericho hug it out...

That is true. I am enjoying all the new talent showing up.

I agree with this. Chris Jericho has great mic skills and can still wrestle well.
I also hope something happens after AJ Styles has his match against Roman Reigns. I don't see Reigns losing his title, so it would be cool to see AJ Styles enter a program with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and somehow have this turn out to be a big event involving Finn Balor as well.
AJ will probably reform the Bullet Club in WWE. That is what the fans want.
I'm loving a lot about the main roster right now though. I never thought I'd ever see ROH talent wrestling in the WWE with as much star power as they've got. Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, AJ Styles.
Yes, they have done a good job of hiring new talent and promoting the Nexus member.

He's been sloppy as fuck lately. Nearly killed Styles a couple of times in their matches, he's scary to watch.
Can still work a crowd like no one else, though. Someone with Chris' career should struggle to get the crowd to boo them by sheer force of nostalgia at this point, but Jericho has been pushing the smarky fans buttons just right.
I still laugh every time he calls Styles a stupid man during matches, though. It sounds ridiculous.

Jericho is best at being a heel. He knows how to get a reaction from the fans.

Calling AJ a rookie is always cute, since Styles was big in Japan and TNA for years.
RAW tonight is in London, England. They are making weird chants tonight. I guess they would make more sense if they were explained. Anyways, Roman Reigns is still a lame wrestler and horrible champion.
At 4/18/16 10:10 PM, EKM wrote: Hmm, I guess I'm one of the few that likes Roman Reigns. He has the looks and can go in the ring.
You must be one of the few. Most people hate Reigns.
He needs to work on his mic skills though and I don't think he should be WWE Champion. I think that would work better for him and the crowd reception wouldn't be so hostile.
He does need better mic skills. His gimmick is also weak.

The problem with his mic skills can mostly be put on creative. They script everything he says, and when he says it you can tell it's scripted. The "I'm not a good guy..." routine is already stale as fuck.
The best thing that could happen to the guy is a heel run. For whatever reason, creative seems to let heels have more freedom in self development. And if he's a really good heel, he'll become a babyface again organically. Look no further than The Rock for what happens when a company pushed babyface is left to develop a heel character.
Something about being a bad guy gets these superstars to relax on promos a lot more. Plus fans mark out when a superstar turns.
This is where the Bullet Club angle has actually become intriguing. They are obviously in a heel role, and their buddy AJ Styles is a clear babyface. Roman has actually been showing some heel quirks (starting to comment that he doesn't care if the audience likes him, rubbing it in that he's champ no matter what they like), but they are just barely there.
One of these guys is going to have a turn. And WWE will stick it to fans regardless of who. If it's AJ, we get the Bullet Club, but we also are stuck with Roman Cena. If Roman turns, then no Bullet Club (for now). In fact, if Roman turns, AJ's next feud is probably going to be AGAINST Gallows and Anderson, killing off an angle fans would love to see.
Its hard to say where things will go now though. The crowds are getting too loud with the booing to cover up with injected applause tracks, and they got their push for Roman at Mania out of the way. Now their priority is keeping ratings up as the NFL season draws nearer, which means they will have to start providing fan service because there's competition for people's time again.
Payback will be interesting because it will set the tone for the first part of the 'season'.

I don't see them turning Roman quite yet. Vince seems intent on giving him a strong push and if history serves as an example, he'll probably get a long run with the belt as the conquering hero babyface who takes on all comers and beats them fairly. I expect to see AJ turn soon and for the Bullet Club to serve as a stable of baddies for him to take down over the next two-three months.

There's a WWE house show literally just over the road from me on Saturday. Wasn't going to go since it was sold out and resale prices were insane, but looks like they released some extra tickets and I managed to grab one. Not as fancy as my second row NXT ticket for June, but it's the first row of the tiered seating, so probably still get a decent view.

Two shows for a live WWE events sounds awesome. Let us know who gets the boos ( Reigns ) and who gets the most cheers.

It's on ICW's home turf, so wouldn't be surprised if Grado gets more cheers than anyone in the building.
They're taping Raw and Smackdown up here in November. If you thought London chants were mental you haven't heard anything yet.

What is the song the crowd sings in London? Is it a sports song? You can't make out the words, just a melody. I can't tell if it means they are having fun or bored.

Which one? They were singing "Big Cass" to the tune of Hey Jude by the Beatles and "Oh Enzo Amore" to the tune of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes on Monday.
Football innit.

She did much in her short career. I am surprised she never left the WWE and tried a different company.
Got tickets for the Raw and Smackdown tapings in Glasgow this November.
Paid more for a nosebleed for Raw than I did for the 4th row for Smackdown.

She was not as successful at other companies than with WWE.

Well, that was a bit of a let down.
Two okay matches. Sasha vs Charlotte vs Becky, and New Day vs Usos vs Dudleys, and the later only for some fantastic comedy spots from Xavier (everyone kept slapping his back while he sold like HBK in his match with Hogan).
Other "highlights" included a child who couldn't have been older than 5 screaming "CELTIC SCUM" at Rusev, presumably because the Bulgarian flag has some green in it (hooray for sectarianism!). Sheamus has the wit to interrupt the ring announcer to demand he be announced as "the conqueror of Scotland and the Roman empire", because you can't call yourself in Celtic Warrior in Glasgow and expect anything other than to split the crowd right down the middle.
So yeah, rest of the card was Cesaro vs Stardust, Social Outcasts (Heath and Bo) vs Zack Ryder and Darren Young, Tyler Breeze vs Sin Cara, Rusev vs Swagger and Reigns vs Sheamus.
Mixed reaction for Reigns, but certainly more cheers than boos. He's over as fuck with the kids, as were Becky Lynch, Cesaro and the Usos. Also they fucking hated Rusev. Nuclear heat for him, no idea why.
Not the greatest crowd either, lots of parents with kids, so didn't feel comfortable laying into the heels like when I was surrounded by other big wrestling dorks like at NXT. Don't really want to be swearing and taking the piss when I'm sat next to a bunch of 6 year olds. When half the crowd is just their to look after their children it can be a bit dead too.
Roll on NXT in June. It's going to be amazing. Don't even need to put on any wrestling, just have Nakamura pose for 3 hours and I'll leave a happy man.

You would think kids would like the League of Nations since they have a theme similar to a video game, Soul Caliber. Big Show is a gentle giant, so the kids dig him.

The first time I heard it, I thought they were doing a video game cross promotion.
Any chance that the Vaudevillians will actually get the chance to fight for the tag titles? I really like that old school gimmick.

No way that they beat Enzo and Cass. Those two are getting over huge on the main roster and it looks like WWE is banking on them having an entertaining feud with The New Day.

It would be nice to see them do something in the future, and not be doomed as jobbers.

I think, as a tag team, they are going to be mid-card at best. Frankly, as heels, they don't really draw enough heat. Their gimmick is unique, making it a novelty, but it's not very deep. In order for any character to really get over, it has to have something the audience can identify with. Cosplaying as turn-of-the-century strong men doesn't really do that.
We all know wrestling is 'fake', but we still want to suspend our disbeleif. The characters these guys currently play really doesn't let you do that. You know damn well they aren't some kind of 9th century time travelers, and it's especially hard to take Simon Gotch seriously as a true tough man looking like he does. He's just such a cartoon character.
What might work for them is if they break character here and there. Let the audience know they are basically pretending, they will come off more like a couple of hipsters who think reviving this old style is really awesome because it's not mainstream. When someone makes fun of them and they are on camera backstage they can just whine about how "nobody gets it". That kind of angle would probably get them way more heat.
If they flip to babyfaces, they're never going to be more than a sort of comic relief, but by embracing the fact they are pretenders, they could have a long journey paying off in an eventual split to singles careers. Aiden English is a legit actor. His hubris could be blamed for how they went the Vaudville route, and Gotch could eventually just get sick of the gimmick imposed by his theatrical partner and they have their break up fued. Gotch goes on to be a decent babyface, English keeps his hipster douche character as a heel (and maybe brings oldschool Damien Sandow with him into a new tag team).
Sadly, I see them having a similar path to the Wyatt Family. They are just too different, and creative will have no idea how to use them. Enjoy the next few months, because that's all the push they are gonna get.

Enzo and Cass are okay, but it seems like they say the same exact thing every time. The New Day will mix things up, and they thought up the trumpet. Hopefully, the New Day will keep the belts with the power of Booty-O's.
