That could be interesting. Somebody has to be the placeholder until Rollins returns. I wonder if Rollins or Hogan will return first?

Mate, let it go. Hogan won't be coming back any time soon, if at all. The negative implications of a Hogan return far outweigh the positives.

Having some old racist shill the network for them isn't going to solve the problems they're having right now.

Rollins's injury will allow Heath to finally get the push he deserves.

You're dumb. The whole WWE Championship tournament matches happening throughout the show has made this one of the more compelling RAWs in months.

Really? Which predictable match was your favorite? Reigns and Ambrose winning ,or The Wyatts being buried by Undertaker and Demon Kane?

BUT IT ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE BETTER IF HULK HOGAN CAME BACK AND DID HIS "REAL AMERICAN" SCHTICK AGAIN, RIGHT, BROTHER? EVERYTHING WOULD BE FINE IF HOGAN WAS BACK. WHEN IS HOGAN COMING BACK? DUDE, HULK HOGAN? WHEN'S HE COMING BACK BRO? HAVE YOU GUYS EVEN HEARD OF HULK HOGAN? HE'S IMMORTAL. WHEN IS HE COMING BACK? I WISH HULK HOGAN WAS BACK. HEY EVERYONE, HULK HOGAN IS MY FAVORITE WRESTLER AND I WOULD LIKE YOU ALL TO COMMENT ON WHEN YOU THINK HE'LL BE COMING BACK TO THE WWE. SO, DO YOU THINK VINCE WILL ALLOW HULK HOGAN TO RETURN TO THE WWE IN THE NEAR FUTURE? ALSO, HULK HOGAN IS PRETTY SWEET. HOPE THEY'LL LET HIM BACK IN THE SQUARED CIRCLE AGAIN.

Please take a steel chair to the head.

New Day continues to be one of the most entertaining acts that the company has had in years and I very much enjoyed their match with the Usos and Neville. As far as the tournament goes, I thought Ziggler looked fantastic in his match against the Miz. It was nice that WWE let him shine tonight with a win. It was also refreshing to see Cesaro beat Sheamus.

The New Day really should of been included in the tournament. They dropped the ball on that one.
I am not a big fan of Cesaro, but I do think they should cash in on his Cesaro section gimmick. It is not like Vince, to ignore money like that.
I was also disappointed that Becky, the wannabe Time Lord, beat Paige in England.

When Reigns and Ambrose finally go head to head, that will be an exciting RAW.

Yes... they are gonna go back to the pre-existing playbook and end up with Ambrose v Reigns with one of them finally going heel (most likely Ambrose because they REALLY REALLY REALLY want you all to like Roman)

And Shamus is plan C when the crowd inevitably turns on their hand picked guy.

Summer Rae is a fucking albatross for Breeze.

Honestly wasn't sure what they were thinking - where they trying to let Summer leech off Breeze being amazing or being misguided enough to think that he needs her to get over?

Then it hit me. She's there because Vince thinks that if Breeze doesn't have a woman with him, people will think he's gay.

For fuck's sake.

I think it's a smart move. Gotta stick with the history of never making wrestlers look gay!

There have been several implied or actually gay wrestlers. Sometimes, they are tag teams partners.

Obviously. I was a fan when Adrian Adonis was still alive, and everyone and their dog remembers classic Goldust. Chuck and Billy may have been the best... anyway I guess my joke went over your tiny little head...

Billy and Chuck were married in a commitment ceremony. Just because a joke is not funny, does not mean it went over somebody's head.

I keep seeing these articles on misc wrestling sites claiming WWE is in SERIOUS TROUBLE with Rollins/Cena gone and not any notable Vetrans coming back in time for Mania.

Then on SmackDown, there was a slight glimmer of hope. They put Calisto over on Ryback.

Now, that doesn't mean much in the larger scheme of things, but it does set up Calisto v Del Rio in the next bracket. Obviously the tournament outcome is pretty much guaranteed to be Reigns, but the fact they opted to set up a GOOD match vs another dull Ryback outing shows promise, and a SMALL investment in new talent.

If Calisto looks good with Del Rio (which... come on, why wouldn't he?) he could fill that spot Rey Mysterio has left open.

The other upcoming event that has a lot of potential is Smackdown moving to USA. Once apon a time, Smackdown had better ratings than RAW, and it caused concern with the Spike TV that they weren't getting the better show. Between that and the fact it was Paul Heyman basking in all the glory, Vince essentially neutered the show.

But now that both shows will be on ONE network, and probably have the same creative staff, there's really no element of competition preventing them from pushing Smackdown as a better show.

With 2 shows on one network, they will need to make each one stand out a bit more. They could go back to a split roster with a draft, or they could make smackdown focus more on the undercard, only highlighting the upper card in vignettes between segments. It could almost become a sort of bridge from NXT to Raw.

They could do a kind of NWO/Nexus faction that grows on Smackdown and eventually goes on to challenge Raw. Imagine that some of the midcard guys that got stuck with shit gimmicks start with a simple kayfabe shoot promo. They talk shit about how they got saddled with shitty gimmicks to make the stupid fans happy and they are sick of it.

You maybe start with a couple of guys like Fandango and Heath Slater who appear to be a simple tag team at first. Then they get into a fued with whoever SmackDown's main babyface is. Maybe Ryback or someone else that represents Vince's ideal wrestler. Then Ryback calls in Dolph Ziggler for support... who then makes a heel turn to join the new faction because he's sick of the glass ceiling too.

They could stop at 3 guys... it worked great for the New Day.... or they could get big enough to be a company wide threat (without having EVERYONE on the roster like the NWO did).

This works on so many levels. The babyfaces Vince loves can keep their spots, and the underdogs the smart fans like can fill the top heel spots for while. It's bound to create new standouts on either side, force unexpected team ups from the Raw roster (imagine Kevin Owens actually working WITH John Cena).

Plus, when Rollins comes back to the shit storm and gets jumped, and Ambrose and Reigns have been fighting a losing war... you could get a legit Shield reunion, and there's no way that won't make money.

Anyway... the point is, WWE has a lot to work with still and if the ratings now are enough to light a fire under their collective asses, they could FINALLY give us a fresh/awesome product. A sort of attitude era for today's generation even.

I for one am actually excited to see what happens now that they really don't have the choice to keep playing safe. In the short term, they'll run with Reigns, but after that all their plans have fallen apart.

My uncle was clearing out his cupboards and found these, so I grabbed them off him.

Anyone ready any of them? I've only read Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan's books.

I think they put them together just so they could call them Summer Breeze.
Is that even their nickname? I haven't watched almost anything since he got to the main roster besides his debut.

I imagine the hogan shit will ultimately blow over. His hall of fame status will be renewed, they won't strip his image out of all their content, etc. That said, I don't think they'll ever actually use him as a spokesman again, unless he pulls off some AMAZING pr miracle that makes the world fall in love with him again.

There's plenty of other legends they can dust off when they need someone to represent the company without ever having to wrestle, so there's not even a real need for Hogan as an employee anymore.

I do agree that this will blow over. He will be returned to the hall of fame and all his credit as one of the best wrestlers ever.

People love a redemption story. I could see him returning as a spokesman. Maybe even being the face of tolerance and respect to all races.

This is up for debate. We will see how the events unfold.

Yeah this is more or less a slap on the wrist. They will re-instate his status in the future, because they can't talk about wrestling without talking about him. Hell it's hard to talk about wrestling in general without talking about Hulk Hogan. Whether or not they'll use him again is up for debate. Probably not though.

They also got Stone Cold, Sting, Flair, Daniel Bryan, etc etc... there's no real shortage of ambassadors. Hogan's only real draw is he's kind of the last really big star from the original wrestlemania. But most current adult fans grew up with the attitude era and would rather see those stars coming around. Little kids don't even really know who Hogan is so much. Realistically, he's not important enough today to deal with any potential backlash.
