Looks like it'll be a good week for WWE.

Payback, despite being a totally throwaway show, has a pretty solid card.

Mizdow and Axel vs The Ascension should be goofy fun. Perfect preshow match.

Cena vs Rusev probably won't be up to much, but at least this feud will be over after it.

The fatal fourway should be entertaining in a clusterfuck sort of way. Feels like a filler programme and will be amazed if Rollins doesn't walk out champ.

Barrett and Neville have had good matches already and will do so again.

Likewise for Ziggler and Sheamus.

The New Day vs Kidd and Cesaro has the potential to be match of the night. New Day are all really talented in the ring, and they're absolutely detestable and are making for great heels. Cesaro and Kidd are two of the best wrestlers in the company, so this should be excellent.

Ryback and Bray Wyatt will be fun. Love the Big Guy, and I think he'll work well with Bray.

Diva's tag match will be a piss break, obviously.

Then you've got the REAL show of the week, NXT Takeover: Unstoppable.

Owens vs Zayn will hopefully finally be the match I was hoping for the first time. I didn't feel robbed when they went with the more storyline heavy stuff, with the head bump and the beatdown that followed, but I'm still itching for these two to have a proper match. Potential classic, and I've no idea who goes over. Owens if I had to bet.

Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch will be great. Banks is phenomenal, and Lynch is really good too.

Blake and Murphy vs Enzo and Cass had better not break my heart. I need Enzo and Cass to have those belts, and I have faith that NXT is intelligent enough of a show that this obviously telegraphed Carmella betrayal won't happen, and in the end she'll have her boys' backs to give them the win.

Balor vs Itami vs Breeze is going to be a thing of beauty, and I'm pulling for Breeze all the way. Fucking love the guy. Best chance we've had of seeing a GTS for a while, but I still think they'll hold it off for big singles matches since he hadn't used it since debuting it on TV a few weeks back.

Baron Corbin vs Rhyno will probably be the weakest match on the card, but will also probably be short. Based on last week the NXT crowd are finally sick of Corbin, with good reason. Can't see it going down well.

Bayley and Charlotte vs Emma and Dana Brooke will probably be good too, although Brooke is the wildcard here as we've not see much of her yet, so it's hard to say if she'll be able to keep up with the other 3 who've all proven themselves in big matches in the past.

So yeah, looking forward to it. Got the week off work so will be able to watch both live for a change. Pretty hyped.

I dunno, I personally am really disappointed to see Axel and Sandow reduced to a shallow impersonation gimmick. When Sandow first started coming out as a heel dressed in stupid costumes it was funny cause he was basically trolling the audience whether it was coming out as Lebron James in Indiana or coming out to Vince's music and getting a big pop.

Now it's supposed to be a face gimmick somehow but it doesn't have anywhere near the kind of effect that made it over in the first place. It's just not funny anymore and it's more 'glory days' wankery. I feel like Sandow may not actually be able to pull off a face run on his own merit since he just seems too boring when he isn't a smug heel. The same goes for Axel who did an admirable job turning a jobber performance at the RR into something but now it's a shadow of what it started as.

Sad really.

I love heels like the New Day and since Miz hasn't been on TV for a while they've been doing a good job of filling that role. I hope they get to keep doing this for a while because the Tag division is sorely lacking in strong heels that make sense as a tag team like New Day does. Cesaro and Kidd were always just two really good singles competitors for good in ring chemistry but they weren't really 'bad guys' and it's time they break into singles competition again.

New Day should have great matches with the Lucha Dragons and the Usos when they come back

I really like both guys and I feel bad that Ryback is gonna have to take another bump down the ladder for Wyatt but Wyatt really needs it. I'd like to see someone like Randy Orton or Kane take these kind of matches but Ryback and Wyatt will at least be a good match hopefully.

I wouldn't worry about it. If anything it seems like they're setting Carmella up for a face run of her own and it would make sense to have everyone in that group be face while they have the belts. If she betrayed them it'd be a pretty good swerve I guess but it wouldn't make a lot of sense in the long run I don't think and the people behind NXT seem to have a bit more sense than that.

The Cena and Rusev match was pretty entertaining, too bad they had to make Rusev look more like a coward by having him hide at one point, the ending was totally retarded, you can't lose if you're passed out but you can if someone else quits for you? What kind of bullshit is that?

The main event was so amazing, when they tripled powerbombed Orton through the table and Seth had his arms around Reigns and Dean i kept thinking they were back together and a lot of the people in the crowd seemed to think so as well, boy how wrong we were. The rest of the match was also pretty damn amazing, the only downside is that the Pedigree was botched.

Did anyone else catch Reigns flipping off Noble after he threw him against the barricade near the end?

Great week of wrestling this past one was. If you have Network, and didn't see them, I recommend Payback (Minus the Cena/Rusev match) and NXT Takeover (nothing bad on that show, when all I can say in the negative is that something was merely "good" that's a damn good thing for this old fan).

I think Cena will win the rematch, and on the heels of that Owens drops the NXT belt to either Finn Balor or Samoa Joe. He's too hot right now to stay on the NXT roster, and losing his NXT strap and being 1-1 against Cena will set them up for a US title match, probably with a stipulation that will make Owens look really good.

If Nevel wins the IC belt, you might even see him vs Owens in a future match to unify those titles like they did with the world/wwe ones. They seem to be trying to sell the NXT brand a lot on the main programming, and having those guys carry a show while the world titles are centered on the former shield guys would really push the idea that the best talent in the past few years has all come from NXT.

Haven't heard anything about Cena wanting recovery time, but it's always possible he's got another movie coming up.

I wanted Kofi to win so The New Day could eventually feud, each member claiming to be the briefcase holder.

That was a pretty brutal main event, those Dean Ambrose comebacks were annoying after a while, though.

I am glad that Big Show beat Ryback , but he should of won the IC belt.

I'm glad they kept him looking strong. I felt that Rollins should hold onto the belt so that he can go into Summer Slam as champion when Brock makes his return, but I didn't want to see Ambrose be turned into a total joke in this PPV.

Also, I'd like to state for the record that I feel like Sheamus winning the MITB ladder match was beyond stupid. It doesn't make any sense and I don't know what story line they're going with it. I'd honestly have preferred Roman Reigns or Kane winning the briefcase because at least they're tied to the current title picture with the Authority. I'm hoping that the rumors of him losing the case to someone else are true.
