I guessed as much, thanks Tetris for the stream. Theyre really propelling ADR at the speed of light eh?. My stream froze right as Santino came back into the ring.....i'm guessing he just got tossed over. The Orton/Miz match was bullshit, the Dolph/Edge match was pretty good, The Diva match was lol.

Santino hit the Cobra, but ADR still threw him out, that's all you missed. Mine went down after Alex Reilly entered, and I didn't find a new one until right before ADR came in, so I had no idea that Santino was even there.

Morrison landing on the barricade was my favorite part. I also enjoyed seeing Chavo actually wrestle for a little bit, and the spinerooni. I lost interest really fast when Nexus was turned into Cena fodder. I was not pleased with that.

Enjoyed Edge and Ziggler, Orton and Miz was alright. Divas was my bathroom break as usual.

ALBERTO DEL RIOOOOOOOOOO!!

Hell yes. I really did not expect him to win.

I'm so pumped for the road to wrestlemania.

Seems those sources were right about Nash and Booker T. It will be interesting to see if they have been re-signed or if this was a one shot deal.

With the way things have been leaft I bet I can guess how the title situation will play out. ADR will challenge for the SD title and it will be Cena vs. Miz since he cost him the RR. I'm also going to go on to guess that Miz is going to lose to Cena. I can't see them having Cena lose to Miz. Granted they still have plenty of time before WM so things can change.

Morrison landed on the rail and stayed in the match? Cool. Wish I could have seen that, it sounds like it was awesome.

I can't see The Miz being champion past elimination chamber. Would anyone be surprised if it was The Miz vs Cena vs Orton vs CM Punk (c) at wrestlemania?

On the Smackdown side of things i hope that Rey Mysterio wins the title at Elimination Chamber so we get ADR vs Rey at WM. Their feud hasn't had a real blow off yet.

Never know, thats what makes it so exciting at this time of year.

Guess it WAS his destiny after all.

How'd Edge retain w/o the Spear? Edgecution?

I've been meaning to ask something: When I was at GameStop getting my PS2, and I was lokking through all the (obviously) used games, I came across SD vs. RAW 2009. I was wondering if you guys think I should get it. Two things that immediately caught my eye were the Tag Team Story Mode, and, more importantly, the Create-A-Finisher feature (which SOUNDS awesome, but ya never know). The only thing I'm wondering about is if there's a way to, like in the 2007 (I think) game for Xbox I'd played, somehow use music other than the music in-game for your entrance music; I ask this because that game used a built-in Xbox feature, which the PS2 doesn't have.

Thoughts?

Surprised? Not at all. Praying to God it doesn't happen? Absolutely. Still it looks like WWE could go that way, or they could go with the two bouts I have heard were in pencil for the show (Punk/Orton, Miz/Cena). I'd rather we NOT have a multi-man here because they really do overdo the multi-man gimmick.

On the Smackdown side of things i hope that Rey Mysterio wins the title at Elimination Chamber so we get ADR vs Rey at WM. Their feud hasn't had a real blow off yet.

The two of three falls was a great blow off...the problem is WWE doesn't let it stand by continuing to muddy those waters with all those tag team encounters.

Never know, thats what makes it so exciting at this time of year.

I agree. The addition of the Elimination Chamber PPV has been a great boon for Mania because it opens up more options to keep things unpredictable.

Also, I called Del Rio, you people didn't believe me. You've now learned, don't bet against avie :)

The ref and Vickie were both knocked down, so Edge speared Dolph, played dead until the ref got up, and hit Dolph with the Killswitch. It was a nice shout out to Christian.

It COULD have been a great blow off, but it didn't end up that way. ADR winning the feud because his ring announcer held mysterio outside. That's not an end to a feud. It isn't over.

I totally called the Royal rumble winner.

DBD vs Punk was the highlight of that rumble.

Alberto Del Rio is the Royale Rumble winner, but you already knew that :D

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2011-01-31 12:21:14

Personally, I'm sick of seeing Mysterio and Del Rio facing each other, let the guy feud with someone else. A couple months ago Edge had that promo where he called Del Rio stupid, and those two made it entertaining as hell. Just let him feud with Edge.

And I quote, Cole is not happy. I get this weird feeling that they'll let Lawler have the WWE Title as a thank-you for sticking around for so long. However, then he'd lose before WM to Miz again, probably via more Cole shenanigans.

Geez, how the hell does Morrison keep doing that shit? o_O

Edge & Del Rio should be great, since I expect Edge to retain at the Chamber.

I was hoping that King would win, but I didn't think they'd actually go through with it. Awesome. I don't know how awesome the actual title match will be...he's not getting any younger...but what the hell, he deserves a moment in the limelight. I also enjoy seeing Cole angry, so...heh.

Goddamn, Morrison is pretty awesome.

I hadn't actually caught Raw in a month or two, and was shocked and dismayed that the "Anonymous General Manager" thing is still going on. It was boring months ago. I wonder if they're EVER going to go somewhere with it...

I honestly expected more of the RAW to follow the Rumble. What a mixed bag. The Dance off segment had no business on the show. The Nexus should have gotten the tag belts (seriously assholes, remember when you used to use titles to show a group should be taken seriously?). Good match though till the finish.

The RAW Rumble was good but this once again puts Miz into a PPV title match where either people don't really care, or that's going to make him look dumb (since this will probably wind up with A-Ri costing Lawler to set up that as Lawler's Mania match). I mean, I'm glad Cena didn't win (though I think we're guaranteed he's going to win the Chamber now), but this is what we get as we're on the road to the biggest show of the year?

Mania is in trouble and this could go down as one of the poorest in history based on where things appear to be going thus far.

I don't get to see RAW till tomorrow but I read the results and such. I completely agree with what you said.
I don't like The Miz not having to defend the title inside the chamber. If they want him to be champion at wrestlemania have him win inside the chamber. Give him some credibility. Now that isn't going to happen.

Is Edge going to be defending his title in an elimination chamber match? I hope sure hope so.

Figures. The first time I get to go to Mania and it looks like it might suck. Great.

What the hell was up with that dance off? That was a waste of space. And the thing that I noticed is that a lot of the enterances weren't shown to save time. So instead of seeing and hearing the music of the wrestlers we got to see Mark Henry and GK dance so bad that it was embarassing to watch. I think the WWE needs to get their priorities straight.

Morrison is awesome. That was one hell of a performance last night.

Having Miz and King fued isn't the way to go. You need a strong champion heading into Mania to make the match important. If Cena wins the chamber (which is 99% likely) there isn't going to be much doubt that he'll walk away the champion at Mania. And to be honest I just don't want to see that again.

I will admit that I got a laugh out of Layla when she was cowering in fear.

Orton had the crazy eyes last night. They really sell that skull punt.

So apparently, Sting might have signed a contract with WWE.. I was gonna say that Sting might have something to do with that '2 21 11' video, but i didn't have the full confidence to write it..

all i'm saying is, if that mysterious promo is just about Taker's return, i'll be pretty disappointed..

Also, according to Jericho, he's working on coming back to WWE, he said he's working on a deal with WWE that's about 90% done... cool, we might see Jericho at WM after all.

Don't bet on Taker...Sting might be a safer bet, but not 100% yet. Bet on Taker back anytime soon? Prepare to lose money. Unless WWE is conning us all.

I'm hoping that Edge defends the belt in the chamber as well, I'm fine with not doing both bouts in the chamber, but I think we should get at least one in that gimmick.

Where are you getting news that jericho is coming back?
He won't be back for wrestlemania.
Maybe to promote his book? That would be the only reason I could see.

I'm not hyped up about Sting, I never followed his work in WCW but his work in TNA has been less then impressive. He is old. Real old.
The WWE video guy will have to be right on his game to make anything he does look good, just like he did with Bret Hart.
WWE and their production value will save it but watching it live will be torturous.

If it is indeed Sting coming back, I would expect undertaker to return on the same night.
That is the dream match apparently.
I can't see the appeal, its 10+ years too late.

He stated it in an interview. And no, his intentions of his return is to wrestle. He said that when he left in 05, he was burnt out from wrestling.. but not when he left last year. He said his deal with his WWE return is close to being done so he could be coming back sooner than later.

True about the 10 years late thing.. but this is a pretty big deal.. Sting is the only famous wrestler to never appear in WWE so it'd probably get some old school wrestling fans watching again.

TNA is slowly losing everyone they've ever pushed. First, Christian, and now Awesome Kong, Booker AND Sting. Only a matter of time before we get Angle back, and then we'll end up with AT LEAST Samoa Joe.

Thank god it sounds like Booker left his robe & sceptor at the door. While Sheamus is pulling it off well, it's only because with him, it's mostly a fashion statement rather than a gimmick. Can't wait to see the Spinneroonie again.

JERICHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

To sum up, this could be either an awesome year, or one of the most under-utilized ones. Cross your fingers, guys.

I agree, I mean, if they want to trot him out for something like the "guest host" gimmick, or a quick segment, sure. But my gut says Jericho is probably taking at least a year off to pursue his other interests, and to see where the business winds up (thus determining how much he could command for coming back in).

I'm not hyped up about Sting, I never followed his work in WCW but his work in TNA has been less then impressive. He is old. Real old.

He is old, but this is I think more about the "holy shit" of the last real WCW headliner, and THE first, name star WCW made finally working in WWE. I think if used properly and sparingly, this could be a good deal for WWE. But that's the whole thing, proper and sparing use. Nostalgia is great, but you can't trot him out every single night and put him over up and comers and expect that plan to work out for you long term. It sure didn't for TNA.

The WWE video guy will have to be right on his game to make anything he does look good, just like he did with Bret Hart.

I think nostalgia is going to take this and make this work. Look at Nash, he did nothing really in the Rumble but got one of the biggest pops of the night.

WWE and their production value will save it but watching it live will be torturous.

Possibly, but if used sparingly Sting may still be able to "turn it on" if he wants. He showed flashes of that in TNA, but for the most part just seemed to stop caring at the end.

If it is indeed Sting coming back, I would expect undertaker to return on the same night.

I wouldn't.

That is the dream match apparently.

I think there are a few "dream match" scenarios that could still be done with Sting.

I can't see the appeal, its 10+ years too late.

Not to mention a lot of other guys you might want to see him against are long retired or gone. It's a shame that they weren't able to bring him in sooner (especially during the botched WCW Invasion). Still, I believe this has great potential still to be a "better late then never" situation.

Forgot to add, I also thought it was a Taker promo, but I forgot Sting's sported a trenchcoat before, too. Not to mention, usually, those kinds of promos aren't Taker's style - usually signs of his return involve the trademark mind screws & pics of tombstones.

WWE doesn't want Samoa Joe. They just Punted Husky Harris out of tv because of his look. Samoa Joe has a similar build and I have heard an apparent bad attitude (much like Kaval.)

I am looking forward to Awesome Kong and I would mark out like never before if Angle returned.
