Where are you getting news that jericho is coming back?
He won't be back for wrestlemania.
Maybe to promote his book? That would be the only reason I could see.
I agree, I mean, if they want to trot him out for something like the "guest host" gimmick, or a quick segment, sure. But my gut says Jericho is probably taking at least a year off to pursue his other interests, and to see where the business winds up (thus determining how much he could command for coming back in).
I'm not hyped up about Sting, I never followed his work in WCW but his work in TNA has been less then impressive. He is old. Real old.
He is old, but this is I think more about the "holy shit" of the last real WCW headliner, and THE first, name star WCW made finally working in WWE. I think if used properly and sparingly, this could be a good deal for WWE. But that's the whole thing, proper and sparing use. Nostalgia is great, but you can't trot him out every single night and put him over up and comers and expect that plan to work out for you long term. It sure didn't for TNA.
The WWE video guy will have to be right on his game to make anything he does look good, just like he did with Bret Hart.
I think nostalgia is going to take this and make this work. Look at Nash, he did nothing really in the Rumble but got one of the biggest pops of the night.
WWE and their production value will save it but watching it live will be torturous.
Possibly, but if used sparingly Sting may still be able to "turn it on" if he wants. He showed flashes of that in TNA, but for the most part just seemed to stop caring at the end.
If it is indeed Sting coming back, I would expect undertaker to return on the same night.
I wouldn't.
That is the dream match apparently.
I think there are a few "dream match" scenarios that could still be done with Sting.
I can't see the appeal, its 10+ years too late.
Not to mention a lot of other guys you might want to see him against are long retired or gone. It's a shame that they weren't able to bring him in sooner (especially during the botched WCW Invasion). Still, I believe this has great potential still to be a "better late then never" situation.
