you sure he's straight edge? looks like he's feeling effects of some drug in that photo lol
speaking of Punk? when did he join the commentary table during TLC? I only watches bits and pieces but im pretty sure he wasn't announcing the entire night..

Who is next to him??
Edge is now 2 or 3 (I forget which) title reigns away from tying Trips. Awesome.
Glad to hear Morrison is in the title picture. NOW GIVE HIM THE STRAP!
@avie: I disagree; I think Zeke is doing pretty well as a face. I think the fans turned him anyway, so it's not up to Creative on this one. We haven't had a solid monster face beyond Show for a while, and he's seemingly won the fans over, so I think he should run with it for a while & see what it can do.

Now you guys understand why I slowly transitioned to his side.

finally WWE are doing something that the people want!
Royal Rumble is the next PPV so they dont need huge stars in the world title matches.
Or it's because it would be fucking retarded to have two heels feud for over a month and to book a heel vs a heel in a title match. This isn't a Russo run company, heels vs heels and faces vs faces don't make any cognitive sense. Plus, Sheamus doesn't need it, he's been the Champion twice, he's the King of the Ring now and Morrison hasn't had a world title shot. Plus, they're building Sheamus into a feud with Triple H once he returns.

Who's he beaten? Where's the consistent push?
Also, he re debuted on RAW as a face, when was he turned? To me everything he's done lately has been well within the purview of creative so if they want they can easily switch him back.
I felt like Miz/Shaemus Matt because I would rather get a Miz/Morrison Mania match as I think it'd be great and could "make" both of them...I think they'll be overshadowed at the Rumble, and BECAUSE Shaemus is being groomed for H you can kind of give him and Miz that "throwaway" gimme to bring back H and start that build.
Punk hit Cena with a chair, there I just re-caped today's RAW.

What I want to know is this: Where, when, and why did CM Punk turn heel on Pepsi?

Well, he said Diet Soda, not diet coke sooooo, yeah.
I'm just glad they decided to not keep Punk as just a commentator. He and Cena should do fine in a fued.
So where does this leave all the Nexus guys? Do they go to SD or are they gone for a while?
Ziggler/Cena was the best match of the night. And while I'm not really a Cena fan I did find his interaction with Vikie and the crowd to be amusing. Man they really were booing her out of the building last night huh?
Don't forget that SD is live tonight on USA. I know I'll have to keep reminding myself of that. :P
Santino giving himself the Cobra... LOL.
One of my friends was watching Raw with me last night and he knows nothing about wrestling. When Lawler and Sheamus were talking about being King, he asked be if it was that Jerry "The King" Lawler from Man on the Moon. He was impressed that he is still wrestling.

This is the best thing in the world ever I am so sad that I missed RAW.
Punk's back to his old ways. Told ya' he could never be a face again at this point. Why he would take pity on Nexus, of all people, is beyond me. But then again, Punk's morals have always been a bit back-asswards.
I thought Cena was going to start rolling on the ring floor in laughter. Vickie just can't catch a break. :P

I'M impressed he can still wrestle that well. He's in the 50s-60s range, isn't he?
Okay, I hate to say it, but Cena has finally shown that he can sell a beating... it took years but hey he's not superman no-selling shit anyway. Though, just once I'd like to see him tap.
Also, he earn points for the call back to the Jericho and Stephenie kiss.
CM Punk is Batman and John Cena is Superman. Who. Is. Deadliest.

Batman. He has a Kryptonite win and a couple of victories over Superman...oh wait, this is wrestling right?
I see Punk getting a couple wins here though...unless the first match is at Mania. I'd love to see them shift the paradigm and maybe book that match as a second to last or third to last and give the heel the win...but I just don't think WWE is going to let Cena lose at the showcase (in fact...has Cena EVER actually lost at Mania?)
And here I thought they might be keeping Punk as a commentator long term. It would have been so good.
Guess Punk will finally get back in the ring. Good, as I don't want him to stay as a commentator when he still has quite a bit of gas left in his tank. A Punk/Cena feud will be awesome to see.
Cena's going to need to use a plunger on his face a la Ace Ventura after that. :P
Poor Kaval.......FUCK THIS BULLSHIT!
Is it me, or has Orton been using the Angle Slam recently?

Shit.......then he's aging very well.

Que?
Missed the first 3 minutes of Tribute to the Troops; good thing I thought to look at the time. This is the first time in the last 2-3 years I've caught it.
Uh, did they re-dub the announcing? This was on SATURDAY on NBC already, meaning this is a rerun, but........this is rather stupid. Just say it's an encore presentation, instead of confusing the hell out of your viewers.
Mark Henry won something. Only on special occasions, I guess.

So apparently, Hulk Hogan got surgery on his spine. He pretty much had to get a whole new spine put in. They told him this was gonna happen.
Get well soon.
FUCKING STOP WRESTLING YOU TRAITOR

In more important news, read the entire damn post.

So Kaval's been released.
fucking waste of talent and time
Merry Xmas Kaval...
apparently it was a mutual decision though.. they had nothing for him, so he didn't wanna sit around on his ass doing nothing..
At 12/23/10 07:56 PM, Tetris wrote: Yeah, but pretty much the entirety of NXT season 2 has gone to waste
I think you're overreacting. NXT hasn't mattered for a long time, and it didn't matter long before the end of series 1, even. The fact they salvaged Nexus, McGuillicutty and Harris from the series means it's more of a success than it could've ever really hoped for.
Plus, with Kaval, he left on good terms from what I hear, so I'd imagine the door will always be open for him if the WWE ever decide they want him for something, and because of NXT, the WWE "universe" will at least know who he is. That puts him in a better position than most people outside of the WWE, and until his probable return, he can be actually wrestling rather than stagnating doing nothing.
Not much to add here...Kaval is a good worker, but in the end he's a smaller guy and they tend not to push that. Plus the rumors had circulated for a long while that he was not the one they wanted to win NXT (I'm thinking it was A-Ri).
It's one of those things where people will not like it because you hate to see the guy not on the big stage, but I don't see him starving or anything either. ROH I'm sure will take him back in a heartbeat, or even TNA (well...ok...TNA probably isn't as safe a bet as ROH). Point is, not happy to see him released, but glad to see he's a guy that had, and has had enough of a rep that he can still continue with the business and maybe get back there one day.
Kaval was over rated by the IWC. The best value we got out of him was seeing him be tossed around by Jack Swagger.
I think NXT has been rather successful in finding talent and moving them up to the next level.
You dont need to look any further then Wade Barret, Justin Gabriel and Alex Riley.
Also to a lesser extent, Daniel Bryan and David Otunga.
Although, the sooner Daniel Bryan is released (again) the better. Kid sucks balls.

Never gonna be a headliner. But a solid undercard performer.

Yes and no.

Barrett obviously. Gabriel is still in the "one among many" vein to me. The only thing that makes him stand out is he jumps off the rope. Riley is very good, but he needs to quit it with the retarded extracurricular activities.
Also to a lesser extent, Daniel Bryan and David Otunga.
I agree here. Bryan though is over more because of the internet then anything WWE has done. Otunga has great personality, but I'm not sure he's ready to be on his own yet.
Although, the sooner Daniel Bryan is released (again) the better. Kid sucks balls.
Wow...I'd seriously like to know what constitutes a good wrestler to you if you think Daniel Bryan sucks.
Also, why do you hate the IWC so much? It's a regional promotion that almost nobody pays attention to outside of the fans in it's region.
Oh wait...I just realized you didn't mean "International Wrestling Council" but "Internet Wrestling Community". My mistake. Disregard the question to a degree...well, let me rephrase actually, why do you hate the IWC so much when you yourself are actually part of the IWC?

........
You're insane. I hope you're basing that on the gimmick, because the guy is great in the ring. He wouldn't be holding a title so soon after his debut if he weren't.

You're an idiot and deserve your fucking head kicked in.
Either that or stop tolling.
