Thats my feeling on it too. I'm thinking that Christian is the guy behind all these things going wrong for Jeff which will really help to set up their fued. I hope WWE lets Christian stay in the ME for a little while to see what he can do. If done right he could be one of the biggest heels on SD right next to Edge.

He should. If he doesn't win the Rumble he should face the Hardys (if Jeff loses the title) with Edge in a tlc match. Or he should allign with Edge and start E and C for a second time. The guy deserves it. He's been with WWE for a very long time and the last title he's held was the IC in 2003...for a month.

Agreed, and this is a huge problem within WWE. You have two guys here that compete on all three shows and have been made a big deal, but then when they get a moment to work with one of the biggest names in the company, they get booked very weakly. It's not even so much that they lost, it's that they lost so quickly that hurts them.

At 1/10/09 11:26 PM, DXplayer wrote: i'll join....but hey what do you guys think about the jeff hardy car accident... story line or not? me and my friend have two some theorys

O_O.....it's a fucking storyline. If it wasn't a storyline why do you think they would run this footage?

Theory 1. some wrestler from TNA attacked Jeff both at the hotel and in the car. either TNA will invade WWE or someone from wwe like matt maybe will figure it out and wwe invades cause WWE and TNA are the Two major wrestling companies in the U.S. I say that wwe is a little bigger so TNA wants to get above... then couple of single matches between TNA and WWE will be held at WWE and TNA shows and then at some WWE PPV there will be a huge match WWE Vs TNA like maybe 5 best WWE vs 5 best TNA in an 10 man tag elimination match... don't know the ending but wwe will probably win.

Never happen, why would you think this would happen? WWE would never give TNA that kind of rub. They'd legitimize TNA by doing this and that's the last thing WWE wants.

Theory 2. Some old wrestler will return, probably Christian or Lance storm cause they are old friends of Edge's. at the hotel the wrestler did that to help Edge in the match against Jeff and HHH by taking Jeff out and making less opponents for Edge and the the guy will coma and un-americans will return or E&C.

Christian is said to have quietly signed, so all signs point to this being the return of Christian.

theory 3. Vickie has become so found of here man with cold so she told edge to attack Jeff both at the hotel and car and then later in this month or in February it will come out and she will be fired( i hope so cause she sucks, shes a worse GM and Paul heyman and i hated him)

You...hated...Paul Heyman?....dude...get off my internet. Just, just get off my internet now. PAUL HEYMAN RULES YOU!!!!

Shawn Michaels

what do you think will happen with shawn and JBL ? i think he will kick JBL at the royal rumble and cost him the match... cause he got trouble at home but the man must have some pride... i mean JBL cost him the spot in the Royal rumble match...

I've heard this could actually wind up being the road to retirement for JBL (oh please God please!) Michaels gives him his one great Mania match, and then he goes out on that. Works for me!!!

and BTW what was the deal with the fans at armageddon calling HBK a sellout and booing him??? i hate these kind of fans... there is a recession all over the world he did that just to take care of his family... i would probably have done the same... but did anybody see the slammys... if you haven't then check it out and look at HBK and the look on his face...

HBK is a sell out. He totally is in the context of this storyline. Lot's of people are hurting, but they don't go to work for somebody like JBL who makes them sell out their integrity and dignity. This storyline so far does make HBK look like a sell out and a douche. Plus, nobody believes that HBK doesn't make insane amounts of money right now and what not.

with jeff's "car accident" i suspect one of the 2
Christian or Matt Hardy
it'll probably be Christian, but it'd be interesting if it were Matt Hardy that way we could have Hardy vs Hardy at WrestleMania, maybe in a TLC match or something

i'd pay to see that

At 1/11/09 12:21 AM, DXplayer wrote: hi i like that you said all these things but first of all the Jeff hardy thing... it was a police footage and they showed it because they want the fans to know abut these kind of accidents.

Umm, no they wouldn't. Wrestlers have gotten in real car accidents before, and the footage didn't end up on WWE programming. If it was real, it would have been posted on WWE News. The WWE didn't show footage of Jeff's burnt out trailer. Why? BEcause that was his personal life, and the company still has the decency to keep that seperate/

and please don't even try to tell me that if had a wife and kids( if you don't have wife and kids) that you would not work for a scumbag like JBL cause then you are the biggest lying asshole on the face of the earth (no offense) HBK lost his 401k and his kids college fund.

What Avie meant was, nobody is buying that HBK is getting hard by the recesion. He is one of the most popular and employees and has been with the company for years. The guy has a very cushy living.

and this is not YOUR internet cause i bet that if it was then it would not be as great as it is today( again no offense) but yeah the Paul heyman thing... i like him for ECW but hate him from GM of smackdown because he was so arrogant, like in the 2004 draft he always told Eric to hurry on but when Paul got a pick he always sad like " paul heyman Smackdown is very proud to welcome..." to long... but i have to admit Paul heyman is a GOD for ECW but a Pussy from SD. and what kind of man quits because he got drafted??'

My advice. Learn the difference between Paul Heyman the character, and Paul Heyman the actual person. I think you have the confused as he same thing.

To all you new people yes you can join. It's an open club so you are all welcome. What are your thoughts on some of the current storylines? What do you think about the people who have gotten fired over the past few weeks?

The Jeff Hardy thing is a storyline element. If he had actually been in a car accident the wrestling news sites that several of us go to would have reported it earlier. When I turned on SD was when I hard about it.

No I didn't. I can tell the difference between reality and a storyline created by the WWE. Also, there are pictures of Jeff at the crash on WWE.com. Are you telling me there was a full camera crew that just happened to be at the crash site? Face it man, it was fake.

As for Shawn, he makes over a million dollars a year. Even if he was in a financial crisis, the WWE wouldn't make light of it in a storyline. Face it man, it is fake.

welcome aboard mate

anyway GODDAMN they released Val Venis and D'lo Brown!.. thats bullshit man... they used D'lo for like 3 matches in his run!
also i read that the FU has been renamed to 'The Throwback' which is weird coz that flipping neckbreaker he does is called the throwback
im guessing theyre changing it because of theyre new kid friendly role and fearing kids would learn the similarities between FU and Fuck You.

Yes, but when is the last time you have seen Val Venis it has been months since i last seen him on raw and if i do recall it was just a filler match haveing no value what so ever. D'lo just did not draw enough attention from the fans yes he was used often but he never really did much.

also i read that the FU has been renamed to 'The Throwback' which is weird coz that flipping neckbreaker he does is called the throwback

what the hell is that, they are trying to hard to make it a more "kid frendly' show and The stfu is being changed as well but it is still undecided. I don't think this is going to go to well with the the most of the john cena fans, lets see what will happen with this.

Yes that is what i am thinking as well, but i like the show like it was is when hbk just ruturned as the attitude era ended. The produck was for 14-22 year olds now it looks as if it is looking for 10 and under.

Lemme settle this for you DXPlayer. Pay very close attention:

If it happens on a wrestling show, and it is continously mentioned, it is a storyline (sometimes referred to as an "angle") everything on the show is staged and contrived (this is sometimes referred to as a "work"). If one has either been a part of the business, or is familiar enough with the signs, you can sometimes spot the occurrence of a legitimate injury, but that is the only thing that is legitimate. There are no instances where wrestlers or company personal will "go into business for themselves" and break character on TV (anything real on a show would be called a "shoot"), they do sometimes however use real personal problems in the storylines (Jeff Hardy's battles have been made a storyline. When someone mixes fiction and reality that way it can sometimes be known as a "worked shoot"). The sooner you get this, the happier you'll be, and the less dumb you'll look here and elsewhere.

As far as Heyman, I really liked his character then and I liked a lot of the booking (writing) he was doing for SD! then. Heyman very smartly gave off the impression of SD! being something different and competitive with RAW (something that has completely disappeared now) . Even the way he was written out where he'd rather quit then go work for somebody he'd been in such fierce competition with, and had such personal hatred for (Bischoff) was well done, if sad for me because it signaled the end of what I felt was a really great era for SD!.

i reckon smackdown was still good after heyman left
to me i reckon smackdown jumped the shark when eddie guerrero died, i dunno but ever since then smackdown just started to get really uninteresting, i hated the fact that rey mysterio won the title mainly because of eddie's death.. (which went on as one of the worst title reigns ever in my opinion) and i hated how they brought his death in as a storyline between mysterio and orton (or was it kurt angle?... i cant remember) it was uncalled for and just seemed really tasteless.

Mickey Rourke won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Dramatic Role for his performance in "The Wrestler" last night. Bruce Springsteen also won a Golden Globe for his original song, "The Wrestler." Rourke beat out some heavyweights including Leonardo DiCaprio, Frank Langella, Sean Penn and Brad Pitt.

Thats pretty cool right there. I want to see this movie.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Kevin Nash did indeed suffer a recent staff infection which was why he was pulled from last night's Genesis PPV as indicated by TNA. The injury is legit, Nash was hospitalized, and although it complicated the PPV even further, it was unavoidable.

Another thing to mock Nash for? Nah.. I think we can let him slide on this one. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

You know why the PPV was further complicated? BECAUSE KIP F'N JAMES REPLACED KEVIN NASH IN THE MAIN EVENT! Let me repeat that, Kip James (AKA Billy Gunn) was in the main event of a PPV.

And speaking of the PPV, you guys need to see Shelley vs Sabin and Jarrett vs Angle. Easily the best two matches on the show, and two early candidates for MOTY. Yes, they were that good. Also, if you hate Jarrett, you get the bonus of seeing him go for a Suicide Dive... Only for him to land face first on the outside!

That's awesome. I was reading an article yesterday, and it was heavily backing Pitt to win, Rourke was only mentioned briefly with the other candidates at the end.
I can't wait for it to come out over here.

I had a chance to watch The Wrestler (Gotta love the internet), and believe me, its worth the hype. Rourke's Golden Globe was well deserved, and here's hoping he can also net himself an Oscar for his performance.

Punk vs Regal is scheduled for tonight. If Regal gets DQ'ed, he loses the title. I believe RAW is in Chicago next week, so it wouldn't surprise me if Regal finds another way to walk away (*COUGHCOUNT-OUT-COUGH*) from the match without losing the belt, leading to yet another rematch next week.

I'm looking forward to what Regal and Punk will do with this fued. If they do extend the fued until next week it would be cool to see Punk win the IC title in his hometown.

Also we'll be seeing the return of Vince next week. Do you think he will take the show back or will he let Steph keep running it? Will this backfire on Jericho?

I think Vince will appoint Shane as either the new GM (Or a Co-GM), leading to a Steph-Shane feud. Probably leading to a match at WM (With Steph and Shane each choosing a wrestler), to decide which McMahon ends up as the one true GM of RAW.

Either that, or Vince will just take up 20 minutes of air time to stroke his ego, while hurting the rest of the current RAW product.

Ok, that DQ finish was friggin lame and it makes Stephanie look completely stupid.

If she wanted a decisive finish in this bout, why the hell didn't she make it no DQ to begin with? Right up there with last week's "Uh, why not just restart the match dummy?"

But if the plan is to put it on Punk in Chicago and give him a real solid run with it, I'm totally down with that.

Hopefully... Knowing WWE, Vince will probably step in, "rectify" Stephanie's 'leadership,' and consequently push the IC match to the Rumble. Punk and Regal would put on a crazy-good match for the PPV, methinks...

Again, hopefully.

Ok wtf. Dibiase was kicked in the head by Orton. When he returned last night with Snuka and Manu I thought "Hey this makes perfect senes. Kick his ass Ted! Kick his...huh?" This is WWE throwing away a perfectly good storyline. They way they explained it later was even worse. "I kicked you in the head to knock some sense into you." You know, even if that was his reason I still would have been pissed off at him. What a stupid waste.

Also I agree with Avie on the lameness of the IC match. Thankfully it will be no DQ next week. Maybe then we can get a match worth seeing and get a winner.

The main event was great. Cena and HBK really put a ton of effort into their match and it was worth seeing.

I'm guessing that Vince McMahon will rehire Jericho. Either that or he winds up on SD.
