Avie I cant believe you dont like Hall! What about Nash? You a fan of big sexy or do you not like either of the outsiders these days? I think for Halls age, hes a great worker, and disagree with ya on his relevance and/or drawing ability in wrestling presently. But to each his own right? I think I keep wanting him to get (yet another) chance because I would really love to see an outsiders headlined match once more before their careers are over. Hey, if DX can come back and rock the arena like it was a decade ago, no reason H&N cant do it one last time, right? I hope so, but maybe its just my nostalgia gland acting up again. ;-D
DX has actually drawn money, both members of DX are still active and great performers. Hall and Nash never were all that great. Nash never drew either:
-Kevin Nash holds the distinction for being the lowest drawing WWE champion of all time.
-Kevin Nash was a focal point of WCW as it closed
-Kevin Nash and Hall returned to WWE bringing back in the nWo and quickly became a mid-card act after WWE attempted to push them as headliners and it quickly failed. Only Hogan got anything out of that return
-Kevin Nash was a focal point of a story with then TNA Champion Samoa Joe and the ratings and buyrates on TNA shows did not go up.
These are all undisputable facts. Nash and Hall are two guys who knew how get the right friends, and play the political game expertly. They didn't really draw within the nWo as much as the nWo drew because they were portrayed at first as the WWF invading WCW and then got over because they were cool heels. Nash is over the hill and what little skill he had is pretty much gone, Hall is a drunk and a drug addict who can't be relied on to show up consistently, hence why TNA didn't use him on Sunday, and were actually angry when he appeared with the ICP. Seriously man, you gotta get out of dreamland.
I say it like EVERY FUCKING TIME it happens, but I always LOOOVE when Regal wins something, and I was on my little wrestling cloud nine when he walked out of Manchester with the IC strap tonight. Man Ive gotta catch a WWF England show before I croak, so I dont feel like the weirdo in the crowd screaming my lungs out for Regal to take somebody to school. He had a pretty hot match tonight, my only bitch is that it coulda been a little longer and a lot less one sided.
Regal as a talent is great. But he shouldn't have beat Santino. The Honk-A-Meter thing was still good and viable. Plus, Santino doesn't fail a drug test or do something incredibly stupid every time you push him! Seriously, they put a title on a guy with two strikes, and Jeff Hardy is probably feeling a little "wtf?" right now and he probably should. This was a bad call because it wasn't worth just getting a pop in England here for Regal.
