I was amused how Taker raped Edge in the darkness.

SD was pretty good last night. Decent action with the clock challange, Palumbo's heel turn, Taker and his magic (lol) and Chavo's pin-a-thon match. I think he was just showing us how many ways he knew how to pin in that match. Sure it's Funaki, but you still need to beat the guy up a little to win.

Looks like MVP is going to try and retire Flair. Think he will be the one to do it?

Yes, It was a good SD to kick off 2008!

I guess Flair's chances are still there and in my own opinion, Flair will win that match.

I really tihnk MVP SHOULD be the one to retire Flair since it would give him a huge push and make him another ME caliber star, but I don't see him winning. If any up and comer is to retire Flair, it will probably be Mr.Kennedy.

But knowing how Vince operates, it will probably be either Orton, Batista, HHH or HBK that retires Flair... You know, someone who doesn't really stand to gain anything from beating Ric.

Yeah, I don't think they could keep Flair/MVP going until Mania, and I'd like MVP to be feuding with Hardy at Mania too.
Kennedy probably won't have anything better to do at WM, and he really needs something big to push him. He's had that good feud with HBK recently, so he's looking good enough to face Flair at some point if he keeps going at this pace.

I hope it is MVP who doe sit. He could use it as the next big step towards the ME. Plus once Hardy is back they can put on one hell of a match.

Ric Flair is going to retire soon, and probably go to TNA so he can use his roids. I honestly think he uses them, because he has a nicer body than me, and he's fuck 60 or something like that. I'm 15. I should have muscle, and he should be in bed watching me wrestle.
TNA is gonna be his place.

I doubt it. I bet he'll stay at WWE doing some other role after his retirement. I don't think he'd be doing this retirement storyline unless he was ready to be retiring from the ring, so he won't go to TNA.

IMO Kennedy should retire him.
Hes a little more talented than MVP. The situation I'm thinking is Vince makes it hard for Flair by putting him in a Rumble qualifying match, meaning he'll win or have to retire.
So he's forced into the Rumble. He gets eliminated by Kennedy (or whoever's gonna end his career).
Vince says he can have one more match whenever he wants.
He says (Assuming its Kennedy that eliminates him) ''I want a match on the grandest stage of them all....WrestleMania. Against Mr.Kennedy!''
He goes on to lose cleanly to Kennedy.

Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

Similar to my guess, i thought he may keep up his streak until Wrestlemania and then loose, probably to Kennedy.
Seems fitting for the guy to retire at the biggest stage of them all.

You guys really really need to read this article about Stevie Richards. I had no idea this was going on.

Really a fantastic article. I'm so glad to hear these surgeries are working for Stevie and he's getting his real voice back. The gravelly rasp you newer folks are familiar with is NOT the real Stevie's voice. Hopefully my favorite Winger fan will be back in an ECW ring soon.

Any predictions who will win this year's Royal Rumble?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-01-07 07:28:45

Seeing Flair and Sting go at it one more time would be awesome, as would a Steamboat bout. But again I still think it's better for someone who is going to go on to bigger things, or be established as a main event player who could use the momentum this would bring. Two good examples both involve Mick Foley. When he retired, it was HHH who did it, and this was right at the beginning of his first big title run. This helpled him be hated even more, and gave him a ton of momentum. The same can be said of the Orton fued that was had years later.

So being the guy who retired Flair is a benifit, one a heel would be best at having.

Actually, I knew about the TNA PPV... But once again, the card looked like crap and I decided not to mention it. Final Resolution can be described in one word. PREDICTABLE!!

Styles turned on Christian, Nash turned om Joe, everyone saw it coming and no one cared. I will say this... The Women's match (Kim vs Kong... Get it? Kim Kong?) was easily the best of the night and it is the only feud that TNA is booking the right way.

Its a shame that women's wrestling isn't really a draw, and so ultimately this feud really doesn't make much money (if any) for TNA.

Like I said, I want Edge to retire Flair so that he can solidify his "the most hated supervillain" role in the company.

OR let Orton end Ric's career since HHH vs Orton is destinied to happen at Mania.

Without the title on the line of course because Jeff's going to win it at the Rumble.

I can dream can't i?

I think letting Edge end Flair would be a wasted opportunity, since Edge is already the most hated heel in all of the WWE currently.
I personally wouldn't like Orton to do it, because I don't like him. It'd make sense, considering his former status as legend killer. Ending Flair would be the ultimate legend to kill, but I still don't think he'd deserve it.

Yes, you can. But it is not going to happen. HHH vs Orton with the title on the line is too huge to be omitted at Mania.

I think it makes more sense to have MVP challenge Flair at the Rumble, have Hardy cost him the victory and that makes MVP FINALLY want to fight Hardy as bad as Hardy has wanted a shot at him. Losing the oppurtunity to say he retired Flair would drive MVP nuts. If Flair IS losing, it should be at Mania, and really, the only guy I'd feel comfortable having him lose to on the current roster WOULD be MVP because he's the only guy I see is being worthy of that rub. Kennedy is too shaky, and everybody else either dosen't need the win, or isn't ready for it to elevate them.

Do you think the "Raw Roulette" is rigged? I mean it really wouldn't be to difficult to do, doesn't relly matter that much. As even if it was I'm sure they'd throw in a decent type of match, as thats the whole point right?

Still just curious what anyone thinks, rigged? Or is it all really chance?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2008-01-07 23:16:26

Raw was nothing short of awesome tonight. The First Blood Match was a great one, and I chuckled because it was kind of obvious when the razor got whipped out. The best was definitely the cage match. I hadn't been that excited about a match since I was a kid.

I hated the JBL segment. It gave him some great heel heat, but it flushed whatever was left of Jerico's hype down the tubes.

Rigged? Rigged you say? Well consider this.. We never once got a shot of the wheel from far away so the bottom was only on camera when Hornswaggle was running around it.

Raw was indeed good last night. Holly as Carlito was funny. Some good matches too, Hardy doing the Whisper in the Wind from the top of the cage was awesome.

What the hell is up with Hass? Has he gone insane or something?
