The midget community was probably offended by the name Lil' Bastard and most likely filed a complaint to WWE about the name. Hornswoggle is a funny name when you first hear it but Lil' Bastard was way better.

TECh2o you are # 236. Welcome to the club!
I can't wait for Khali to lose the title. That guy was such a bad choice for champion.

Well who else were they going to give it to on that roster? He's the biggest guy they have, so it's not like it's unbelievable.
Yea, but all of those guys you listed have been working there for a very long time already and are very established with the fan base. Khali is their biggest recent investment, so what better way to make him credible than to give him a title run? (Keep in mind I'm not defending the guy as a good wrestler.. but in his case he doesn't have to be, and that's not his fault.)

Bob Ryder is reporting that Rene Dupree was fired due to failing the much maligned WWE wellness policy. Dupree had recently completed a 60-day drug rehab treatment. Ryder is also reporting that Dupree abused somas during his time with Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Man, last night with Abyss and A.J Styles was rediculous. It goes to show how far Christian has gotten when he left the WWE. From being a mediocre C list superstar in WWE to one of the main guys in TNA.
Yea, Christian was always so under utilized there.. and he knew it. I've seen a lot of his stuff on the independents and it's been pretty solid. Glad to hear that it's kickin' in TNA though.
I wonder if, when Rey comes back, if they'll pull a David and Goliath thing by pitting him against Khali.
I don't like Khali mainly because he's not a really...developed character. I prefer heel champions to be more bad-ass and calculating, like Edge. Unintelligible monsters might occasionally make for good challengers, but...meh.
I would like for a more established, yet never-held-title-before, champion, myself. Some new blood. Barring that, I'd like for a mid-carder to move up to the big time championships, like Hardy.
And as for other titles...not fucking Hornswoggle. I'd rather have John Cena for ten years than Hornswoggle for ten weeks.
Anyhow, hopefully SD will be good tonight.

Congressional hearings? Shit finally hitting the fan?
We are living in interesting times...
Well, Hornswoggle is STILL champion, after 'defeating' Jamie Noble.
Great to see WWE placing a lot of emphasis on the importance and prestige of the CW Championship...
fucking fuck.

It's true that Khali sucks at wrestling and doesn't make too good of a champion. However, I think putting the belt on Khali wasn't all that bad. Think about this: Khali is the biggest man in the WWE so if you give him the title, whoever can topple him and take the gold gets more out of the title victory. Khali was only pinned by one man thus far and that was John Cena, who isn't even in the same brand anymore. I think it will be interesting seeing who finally can defeat Khali and take the title. In the meantime, giving Khali a title improves his situation and career and makes him credible. How credible would a guy be if he's more than 7 feet tall and can't even win a championship? Other the other hand, I can't see anyone eliminating Khali from an over the top rope match like the battle royal from last week. So far, only Undertaker has done that in the past and he is inactve at this time.
Now onto a new topic: ECW. At first they were trying to make ECW feel just like old times. Now it's just a 3rd brand in WWE. I say it is ruining some careers and helping others. Richards has been tanking since going to ECW and Nunzio is never going to win anything in that brand either. I know that both of them have history with ECW, but it really is ruining both of them. Wrestlers who have improved since moving over there in the draft would be Miz, Big Daddy V and Morrison. Miz is actually winning some matches now and he doesn't just look like a pathetic jobber. Big Daddy V is actually being recognized and is establishing himself as an unstoppable force. As for Morrison, well it's obvious. He captures his first world title just days after moving to ECW.
Now onto TNA. Impact was good this week. The main event kicked ass and the tag team situation heated up a bit. We also heard from Dustin Rhodes (formerly known as goldust) as to why he is attacking Chris Harris. There was also more of giving us some cocky backstories of Kurt Angle's life which was all for the comedy of Kevin Nash being Kurt's therapist and building Kurt's overly cocky character. The main event was very entertaining and violent as hell. One thing I want to know is who was under the ring that bloodied Abyss? I say it was Judas Mesias (it probably has already been revealed to be Mesias through spoiler sites and I'm probably sounding stupid saying that I "think" it was him). Does anyone know who Judas Mesias is exactly? I heard that it's Ricky Banderas but I don't know for sure.

Stuff about Miz.
Eh, I guess I see what you're saying. I can't see him being pushed for the ECW world title. What I meant is that he has been winning and he will probably be a common midcarder on ECW. He's also involved in that Expose storyline.
Stuff about Banderas.
I hope it's him. I thought he was pretty cool in WSX.
And, while we're at it, did Dustion make ANY sense during his promo? If so, could you explian it to me please? I'm not sure if I like where this is going,
Actually, come to think of it, he made no sense at all, lmao. I just thought it was cool that he got a promo. I basicly wasn't even paying attention to what he was saying. Sounded like gibberish to me but as I already said, I wasn't really paying attention so I don't really know.

Sorry for the double post but it's been confirmed.
Here's a random question that I'm kind of interested hearing what you have to say: What did everybody think of WSX on MTV while it lasted?

As for Nunzio, well, I think he had a 10 day title reign as CW champion.
One time he won the CW title in an untelevised match, in Rome. Shows how much they cared about the title and Nunzio.

It was so brief that I never got a chance to see it. So I have no idea really..
SD was ok last night. My favorite match of the night was the Hardy/Flair vs. MVP/Masters match. Noble getting embarassed again doesn't seem right, but on the bright side at least he is getting some tv time.

The action was unmatched. Those guys were fucking violent as hell. In the one episode, Banderas threw a fireball in Vampiro's face. MTV were such pussies that they wouldn't allow that episode to air. Later on, they edited the fireball to make it look like a focused energy ball and then premiered the episode on MTV Tres. The edited fireball was fake as hell and made pro wrestling look like a joke. I liked WSX mainly because it is similar to CZW and old ECW. It was MTV who cancelled the show due to shitty ratings and unairable content. The only reasons their ratings sucked were because it was on MTV. The types of people who watch MTV don't enjoy wrestling. They say "it's gay" and all that bullshit. As for the unairable content, what the hell could be so vulgar in professional wrestling that would make it unsuitable for TV? MTV sucks balls when it comes to producing wrestling shows.

Long overdue. Maybe the scare of having the government get involved will finally make all in WWE take the wellness thing seriously. I'm sure the last thing Vince wants is for some people show up with a random drug test.

Good concept, terrible execution. They had a lot of talented guys from the Indy scene, Sydal, Evans, Hart and Human Tornado, but they chose to focus on the spots and the flipitty-flips instead of the actual wrestling, I don't think anyone ever sold any moves either.
On to another topic.... It seems Orton will be the one to dethrone Cena. Don't you just love how after all the shit Orton's done, he's still getting a title run?
Karl Charles Istaz; known the world over as Karl Gotch, passed away at 9:45 pm last night just days away from his 83rd birthday. Gotch was a "place-winner" in the 1948 Olympics in London. From there he moved onto the famed Wigan School, where he learned submission wrestling. After migrating to the US, he began to build a reputation as a shooter, and considered by some "the toughest man alive." While wrestling in the US Kotch captured the WWWF World Tag Team titles with Rene Goulet.
In Japan he was actually referred to the "The God of Professional Wrestling," later he became a trainer for both New Japan Pro Wrestling and later the original UWF. Gotch's influence is very apparent in students Akira Maeda and Nobuhiko Takada; and that led to the rise of not only shoot fighting but eventually MMA in that Japan.

That's a damn shame! Karl Gotch was nothing short of a wrestling God. One of those guys like Sammartino who could just kick you ass in the ring... RIP Mr.Gotch

Definitely, nobody wants the government running their business. What I think is interesting here is part of the letter demands that they get all records of EVERY testing program WWE has ever had in place. WWE was pretty cavalier publicly during the attitude era with that. I clearly remember Vince saying in an interview that his policy was "if I see a needle sticking out of your ass, we have a problem". Definitely a situation where WWE's legal team will earn every penny and test their mettle.
I applaud this effort, but I also think fair is fair and if they're investigating WWE then TNA needs to be investigated as well. I'm not trying to cast aspersions, but I'm saying if your going to clean the business up, you have can't just clean out WWE and give guys potential refuges to do their drugs and what not away from scrutiny.
At 7/29/07 10:37 PM, The-Redangleprince wrote: Whats with all this Orton hate? I love this guy, always have. His matches are always fun to watch because he really plays his role as a cold blooded, calculating villain well. Plus, hes got the in-ring ability and mic skills,in my mind theres no reason why it shouldn't be Orton that defeats Cena. It'd catapult Randy to the next level and it takes Cena OUT of the Main event picture which is what I think we'd all enjoy.
Most people hare Orton because he doesn't act professionally. He behaves in ways that if anyone else did, they would be released, but the WWE gives him another chance everytime. Also, he does that lame face lock move in every match. That is why I don't like him at least.

This, basically.... These would be my exact words.
*Sigh*.. I find him stale on the mic, sure he's had a couple of good promos, but for the most part he's just boring on the mic. There are still times when he looks lost in the ring, not to mention that for the most part his matches bore me.
Why do the matches bore me? Here we go.... Chinlock, Standing Chinlock, Belly to Belly Chinlock, Reverse Chinlock, Inverted Chinlock, Chinlock With a Creavate, Chinlock with a Twist, and of course... Modified Chinlock! He relies a lot on chinlocks, and its not just to slow down the match, at times it seems that its the only resthold young Randall knows how to do.
He's also been known to be an ass backstage who contines to get push after push despite doing anything in his power to try to get fired, while other people break flower pots (Rhyno) or need help with their drug problems (Mercury) and are fired. Meanwhile, Orton trashes hotel rooms and does drugs, gets a slap on the wrist, then gets pushed again because Vince and all the higher-ups see this unlimited potential from Orton that will be unleashed one of these days.
He's done more to hurt the E than help it, is not a proven draw and other than the fact that his daddy was a former wrestler, Randy brings nothing to the table.... That's pretty much the gist of it.

Pfft... Everyone knows opinions are frowned upon on the Internet.
It also seems TNA has signed a new wrestler.... Adam "Pacman" Jones!
PWInsider.com has confirmed that TNA has signed suspended Tennessee Titan cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones to a deal that will see the NFL star perform as a professional wrestler. The deal was signed late last week. We'll have more on this tomorrow on the site.
Jones is currently suspended for the entire 2007 NFL season without pay for off-the-field personal conduct problems, including a Las Vegas strip club shooting incident that left former independent pro wrestling Tommy Urbanski paralyzed. Jones' NFL suspension could be lifted 10 games into the season pending a hearing but was recently informed he wouldn't be allowed to attend the Tennessee Titans' training camp.
According to one source, the Titans organization has no issue with Jones getting involved with TNA. Before anyone asks, I was told this wasn't a Vince Russo idea.
Pac-Man is going to make it rain in Orlando!
This is a good move by TNA simply for the publicity it'll get them. If it turns out Jones can actually learn how to wrestle and be an asset in the ring (I imagine he'll be used sparingly) then double bonus for TNA.
