It's seems you all know the sad news, Mike Awesome has passed on to that great, big Bingo Hall in the sky.

But now for some happy news! One of the pioneers of the intercontinental division, Mr. "Curt Hennig" Perfect, has been/will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame!

Also, that Punk/Nitro Match sounds great. I'm sorry, Avie, but as long as CM Punk is in ECW, I'm gonna keep watching.

I think Nitro will win, Punk has backstage heat, which practically killed his push.

I have some Dean Malenko news.

Source: PWInsider.com

For at least one night, Dean Malenko will be coming out of retirement. It will be on March 3rd at Plaza de Toros la Monumental de Monterrey working for Toryumon Mexico. Malenko will team with Funaki vs. Mr. Aguila (aka former WWE star Essa Rios) & Damian 666 vs. former ECW star Yoshihiro Tajiri & Ultimo Dragon.

lol....Actually.

Dean Malenko is not returning to the ring next month and I apologize for the error. The Malenko that will be working for Toryumon Mexico is actually Chad Collyer using the Chad Malenko ringname he often uses on European tours. Collyer was trained by Dean Malenko and when the Malenko name was announced in Mexico, it was assumed to be Dean since Funaki is also working the event.

Good match between Punk and Nitro, as expected an even better....Punk actually got the win.

And I have to say this....Go 2 Sleeeep! I can't believe that Punk was actually allowed to use that move in the WWE. For those who don't know, Go 2 Sleep is a move that NOAH wrestler KENTA uses frequently, and something I never expected to see in a WWE show.

If only Kennedy won the title.

I sure hope they show a replay. I really want to see this move; man am I glad they gave Punk the win, even if Nitro would have been good in the match.

I had a feeling lashley was going to win.... AGAIN. I mean they advertise a championship match for Boby Lashley that has nothing to do with tonite's match on commercial break and then that triple threat match starts just afterwards. That made the main event so exciting. /sarcasm

I'm glad CM punk won.. I hope he wins at wrestlemania too. I hate Edge.

If that's the case, then maybe just maybe Mike had every reason to do what he did.

I don't blame Awesome for jumping, I don't like the way he did it. He jumped with the ECW title in hand and was at Nitro with it, not having told Paul Heyman he was jumping. He could have and should have told Paul E. in advance and either handed Paul the belt and told him to tell people it'd be a forfeit thing, or he should have said that if Paul could wrangle it with WCW, Awesome would come in and drop the belt. There were ways for Awesome to go to WCW without having the ECW title in his hands at the time and essentially hold it hostage. He was a great worker, but he made a really terrible decision there that's stained the rest of his legacy.

There is a very strong rumor right now that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will be the special guest referee in the Vince McMahon (Umaga) vs. Donald Trump (Lashley) match at WrestleMania 23.

That would at least be something. It would be good to see Austin in a regular role on Raw, so I am looking forward to things going well.

eh... I hate Lashley.... he's a rip off of Brock Lesnar and he can't talk.
I thought stone cold wasn't coming back for any role?
Umaga is definitely going to lose because i'm sure trump won't allow himself to have his hair shaved off.

Thats not a bad idea. The Hardcore title would fit ECW perfectly. They really do need to add more titles to ECW. Now that La Resistance is on ECW it might be a good idea to have an ECW tag title. If they did that though, they would probably need to add more tag teams since there is only like 3 in ECW (La Resistanc, new breed, originals).

So I wonder who will be in the Elevation X match at Destination X. That match sounds frikkin sweet. I also hope that Christian beats Samoa Joe since Christian makes such a good champion. Kurt Angle would have made a pretty good champ though.

This post here contains spoilers for who will be in Elevation X and the planned participants in the Mcmahon/Trump Battle of the Billionare vs. The Multi-Millionare Who's Lying And Telling People He's Still A Billionare. If you don't want these things spoiled for you, don't read this post and skip on to the next piece of brilliance I'll write in here.

*spoilers*

It's for Rhino and AJ Styles I've heard. It'll work like Ultimate X but was designed the way it is because they didn't want Rhino on the cables.

Trump will select Lashley this monday as his champion against Umaga, and Steve Austin will be named special referee at some point, photoshoots have already taken place with every participant involved so this is set in stone now, not just a rumor. Umaga should make Lashley look pretty good, too bad he just can't make his work get any better.

*end spoilers*

Remember those who read this, be fair and don't blabber about this stuff for those that don't want to be spoiled.

from wrestlezone.com:
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley's match with Kenny Dykstra on RAW two weeks ago lost 670,000 viewers.

ouch. That might be why Kenny's role has been taken down a notch.

If ECW was as it should there would be no need for a hardcore title. But with it gettling less and less extreme, I would be willing to give something like that a try, but use the TV title or something instead. At least try to keep the original titles in place.

I predict Umaga kicking the crap out of Lashley... but since Stone Cold will be the guest referee... I bet he'll make sure that Lashley wins because he wants Vince Mcmahon to be bald.

So does anybody know someone who thinks pro wrestling is real??? My good friend and I are big wrestling fans. The difference between me and him is that I know pro wrestling is fake and he still thinks it's real. I don't really wanna break the news to him as it would greatly upset him. I personally an very proud of the fact that wrestling is staged. If it wasn't staged it would be called UFC (which is total crap). Anyway, I want to allow him to find out that wrestling is fake but without me directly telling him. I just don't know how the hell to do it. Any suggestions??

I knew wrestling was fake before I started watching it, I watched this one show which described how certain things are faked. UFC isn't that bad, I just rather watch people pretend to be slammed through tables than two guys grappling each other.

Maybe you should recommend you're friend see Beyond The Mat, or get him a shoot interview with a wrestler. Honestly, the way some guys are incompetent in the ring and making their shit look good, it's kind of hard in my mind for anyone but the youngest of children to think the business is legit.

Beyond the Mat was a pretty good movie. It's been a long time since i saw it last though, so I can't remember to many details about it.

I've known it was "fake" for as long as I can recall. It just that some things I thought were fake ended up being real, like when they bleed from their head, and the chair shots. Those and others I learned from reading Mick Foley's books. I'll most likely get his new one too.

I have lots of wrestling news to report.

Source: PWInsider.com.

- The scheduled WWE Saturday Night's Main Event special that would have been taped on 3.05.07 in Phoenix, Arizona for a 3.10.07 NBC broadcast has been canceled. WWE will now tape RAW on 3.05 in Phoenix. According to industry sources, NBC considered moving the special from primetime to a late night Saturday timeslot due to low ratings for last year's primetime SNME specials, but then backed out due to fear that they would lose ad revenue generated by Saturday Night Live.

- Another reason for the cancellation is that NBC requested WWE postpone the SNME special until this June due to the potential Writer's Guild strike looming in Hollywood. Networks are afraid that a strike will happen and they are attempting to lock in programming that wouldn't require members of the Guild. Vince McMahon wasn't happy about this as he viewed SNME as a vital part of the WrestleMania 23 build; but has agreed to moving the special to June.

- TNA has released Jackie Gayda, Norman Smiley, Elix Skipper and David Young from their contracts. Young had requested a release several weeks ago.

- The TNA Slammiversary 2007 PPV will be held on June 17th, 2007, and will be held outside of Orlando. Nashville is the leading candidate for the show.

Thanks for explaining that for me

which of course is another week ticked off in the countdown to when they just let her go and she winds up in porn.

Yeah, it's pretty much inevitable that she'll be spreading for a living.

On another note, does anyone remember Mordecai who was on smack down? Well I thought he looked very simmilar to Kevin Thorn, and has the same special move. Turns out they're the same guy [proof]

Uh...we've all kind of known that for awhile dude. This is like that time in eighth grade when Raven started in WCW and I was totally unfamiliar with the character or the behind the scenes what not of the business. I kept looking at him and going "I think that's Johnny Polo" and then I figured out it was...but then I really looked stupid cause I had this writing gig on some b or c level website that dosen't exist anymore (I pray) and I was all like "Yeah see? It's Johnny Polo, that's why he can't wrestle!" oh what a stupid mark I was.

So I guess my point is that even though we all knew that, nobody should bash on Cereal here because some of us just know more then others, there's no shame in either knowing or not knowing a lot about the business.

Also, Kelly has been on ECW since the show started on Sci Fi on June 13 2006

I think everyone has had that kind of moment. I remember the times when Haku was wrestling on WWE with Rikishi, and then I saw WCW a few weeks after and Haku was wrestling as Meng.
It felt so proud realising that they were the same person. As if I was the only person who had noticed, because they had different names... O_o
And I thought the Invasion storyline was real (somewhat).
