LordKooler's TNA iMPACT! review
1.Kurt Angle segment
Impact starts with Bobby Roode calling out Eric Young but Kurt Angle comes out instead. Angle asks Roode to leave and then Kurt Angle cuts a promo on Samoa Joe and says that he can't stand the fact that Joe beat him at Turning Point. Then Kurt demands a rematch and Samoa Joe appears on the screen saying that he won't grant Angle's request because Joe has his eyes set on the NWA Heavyweight Championship. Then Kurt Angle gives Don West (the most annoying commentator in wrestling today) the Ankle Lock! When Angle had West in the Ankle Lock, I marked out hard and yelled out, "TAP BITCH, TAP!
2.Abyss (w/James Mitchell) vs. Ron Killings
Abyss won at the end.
3.Christopher Daniels vs. Petey Williams
Chris Sabin interfered during the match but Jerry Lynn runs him off. Then Daniels gives Lynn the Enzuigiri and then Petey rolled up Daniels for the win. I like the fact that both Chris Sabin & Petey Williams have character now. I'm liking Chris Sabin as a heel and the fact that Petey has a character beyond "The guy that does the Canadian Destroyer."
4.Kurt Angle segment Part 2
Kurt Angle comes out again and drags So Cal Val (Who in my opinion is the sexiest Knockout in TNA) into the ring. Angle screams about his rematch while standing on Val's hair and threatening to break her ankle until Jim Cornette comes to the ring, Corny says that Joe's contract is written in such a way that he cannot force him into a singles rematch. Then Cornette says that he will put Angle & Joe in a tag team match against each other and says that it will be an opportunity for Angle to "convince" Joe into accepting his challenge while they're in the ring.
5.NWA World Tag Team Title Match: LAX (c) (w/Konnan) vs. America's Most Wanted (w/Gail Kim)
Konnan was locked in the penalty box that TNA usually use in the King of the Mountain match. If AMW lost this match, They would have to split up forever. LAX won to retain the Tag Team Titles and to break up AMW forever. What are your thoughts on TNA breaking up America's Most Wanted. Now that AMW has broken up, Who will LAX feud with next?
6.Abyss/Christian/Sting segment
Christian threatens to tell everyone about Abyss' dark past until Abyss comes out and goes completely crazy by attacking Tomko, Christian, and several referees. Then when Abyss was about to Chokeslam Jim Cornette. The lights go out and Sting appears in the ring! Then Abyss starts to choke James Mitchell while Sting walks away with the NWA Belt.
World Wrestling Entertainment released Danny Doring today. Doring, the final ECW World Tag Team champion when the original company shut down, had appeared several times in enhancement roles for the company, but much like Francine, hadn't been given much of a chance to do anything before the company cut him loose. I wouldn't be shocked to see more names from the original ECW company released down the line. It's becoming more obvious, in my opinion, that now that ECW has been established as a "WWE brand", we'll see more of the names that signed on under the impression that the original company was being re-launched discarded without being given much of a fighting chance to truly earn a roster spot.
Man, Is it just me, or do those Paparrzi Production videos get funnier every week?
Nash: "Okay Lethal, You're first."
Lethal: "What? Why?"
Nash: "Because you're black."
Lethal: "HOW IS THAT FAIR?!!?"
I had an LOLgasim there. Oh, And HOW DARE Kurt Angle lay a finger on my future wife Socal Val? It's fucking on, Buddy...
kickass review avie! The F.B.I. could have been a grat impact in the new ECW, but it Doring's firing is any indication, I don't think Tony has much time left with the company.

Listen Here, BROTHER
I have no problem with Angle kicking ass. I love when he does that shit. But When Angle decides to throw a fit when Samoa Joe won't give him a rematch and decides to take out his angst against The Lovely and Talented Socal Val, That's where I draw the Line!

You misunderstood my comments. We;re not going to have a problem becasue of Angle, we're going to have a problem becuae you called SoCalVal, and I quote.

And on a side note, there's an extended version of the PCS segment from last night, which can be found on the TNA website, its definitely worth a look.

I have to agree with you. In my iMPACT! review, I called So Cal Val the sexiest Knockout in TNA.

Hottness indeed!
SD was watchable this week. Sucked that Cena has to kick out of every finisher, yet the guy he is going to go up against on ppv isn't allowed to...
Good to see Matt get a decent victory, and that 6 man tag to open the show was best of the night. Mercury shows some potential as a singles wrestler, but it's a shame that the Hardyz couldn't stay together, though I'm sure they will re-unite for WM at least.

Absolutely, Maritato has a tremendous amount of loyalty to ECW for giving him his break, and at least within WWE while they don't really use him to his best potential, they do like him and he's probably got a job there as long as he can physically go in the ring from what I've heard.
I've been wondering Avie. What are your thought on what seems to be a Christopher Daniels/Jerry Lynn feud in TNA? I know its not the same Lynn that had the classic matches with Van Dam, but still its gotta be cool to see Lynn possibly be back in action, right?
It absolutely would, TNA has really been stupid in using Jerry as just an agent of late, he can still contribute quite a lot and if they really want to build the X Division back up beyond just guys like Styles and Daniels, having a pioneer like Lynn to help is an oppurtunity they just shouldn't pass up. Jerry has always been a tremendous worker who has also always been terribly underrated (seems like even you underrate him a bit here pep if all you know Jerry for is the classics with RVD, he had some other great matches with guys like Justin Credible as well...hmmm...mayhaps it's time to do a Jerry Lynn profile in extreme?)

I think they may keep Mamaluke if they decide they want an extra jobber around, but I would have to agree with the PWInsider assesment that if your an old ECW name who isn't doing much, your days are probably numbered. WWE see's ECW as a "brand" they established now, and they have little use for people who were hired because they wanted to give ECW an "old school feel" they don't care about the old school anymore, so if you don't have a spot in the new school company, prepare to be released.

I agree with what you recently said avie. But you forgot to mention that Jerry Lynn had great matches with AJ Styles & Low Ki during the early days of TNA.
The thing that I disliked most about SD last night was the return of Vito.. Damn I wish this gimmick would hurry up and end already. The Boogeyman coming out from under the table was predictable, though it was still gross seeing Miz eat pig tounge and monkey brains.

If you want to do the profile, go right ahead. I've seen other Lynn matches, including the one that LordKooler mentioned, a 3-way ladder match between Low-Ki, AJ Styles and Lynn during TNA's early days. Aswell as tagging with Styles (and even Low-Ki) in a couple of diferent occasions... As I recall he had a couple of matches with Styles, which I guess LK will probably know.
I mentioned the RVD matches because that's the first thing people think about when they hear the name Jerry Lynn.... that or his Mr JL gimmick from WCW.

heh I was thinking about how great it would be if Boogeyman popped his head through the worms like that and then he did it. I thought it was awesome.
Boogeyman is by far one of my favorite wrestlers on smackdown. He hasn't lost a match yet has he?

Hmmm, well, now we know what kind of fan you are...everybody switch to kayfabe immediately to bedevil the mark!
As far as I know, Boogey hasn't actually lost a match yet unfortunately.
I've seen Lynn's great stuff in TNA, but I just wanted to point out that there were guys who weren't neccessarily headliners that Jerry had great matches with. Lynn is one of those guys like Benoit that could probably have good matches with a broomstick if they asked him to, Lynn is an invaluable asset to any roster I think because he can be booked practically anywhere (I don't think Jerry has it in him to main event for a big company, he just dosen't have the acting ability and the charisma dosen't come across for it) and he's going to have a good match and make himself and his opponent look great. Amazing to me Vince let him go...oh wait, no it isn't, Vince prizes look over work.

Like Avie pointed out, unfortunately, Boogeyman's undefeated. And considering that he's "beaten" both Booker T and JBL, I don't expect him to lost to the Miz. I mean let me tell you, if the Miz beats the boogeyman I'm really.... not oging to care. I can't say I'm a fan of either one.

Too bad the injuries caught up with him. He can still wrestle, but if he does it won't be on a consistent basis, which is a shame because with the talent in the X-Division (and TNA in general) he could have some more unforgettable matches.
Again, if all this crap between Lynn and Daniels leads to match between the two... I'm going to have to give Russo some props for doing something that's actually..... wait for it.... Good.
Know what puzzels me? Why in the hell would TNA, a company that has several wrestlers (like Jeff Jarrett, Sting and so on) who were there for WCW's dying days, allow Russo in? He was one of the big reasons WCW did so poorly with his stupid booking and wasteful use of the money. What the hell are they thinking?!

According to new reports, Vince McMahon has given some indications recently that the Women's Division will be more T&A oriented and will get less TV time now that former stars such as Trish Stratus and Lita have left the company. Looking at the roster, the only two legitimate female wrestlers are Victoria and Mickie James. McMahon is said to like both, but feels they aren't marketable on the level that Trish and Lita were. It should also be noted that women in WWE's developmental territories have been told to sit tight and not anticipate a call-up to any of the main WWE rosters.
I'm not surprised by this, but I am disapointed. So much for the Women's divisioin..
