Frogman's Flections for the SD of 8/18/06 (plus other stuff like Summerslam predictions and thought about ECW)
First of all, let me give my thought about ECW. A long time ago I said...

Last thought for the day...not Smackdown related. Summerslam as we all know is a joint production of Raw and Smackdown (Cena vs. Edge for the WWE Championship, title changes hands on DQ, Booker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship) so this is my thought...get ECW also involved in the joint production. That way we can see The Big Show vs. Sabu for the ECW Championship.
Little did I know that it would actually be true. I mean I really haven't paid attention to ECW (since I don't have cable) and I missed the last two shows (Sabu vs. Kurt Angle for the #1 contender spot for the ECW Championship, Sabu vs. RVD vs. Kurt Angle for the #1 contender spot for the ECW Championship only to have Angle pulled at the last minute to have it be Sabu vs. RVD) I picked RVD to win and go to Summerslam to face Big Show, but Sabu won. Wow. How fate stabs me in the back.
Also, I am so f'ing pissed off that Scary Spice won the sluta search. She's f'ing ugly as hell. Allright, now time for Frogman's Flections.
Batista vs. Sylvan. What a jobber match. Batista wins in like what...four...five minutes. ghey. I think Batista should have faced The Great Khali in his home town...(reference to Rey Mysterio there).
Sylvester Terkay vs. Scotty 2 Hotty. This was a pretty decent match. Sylvester won without putting Scotty in that nasty submission, otherwise he put Scotty in a secondary finisher and pinned him. Then afterwards he put him in that nasty submission. Can someone say "riding Chris Masters coattails?"
Mr. Kennedy vs. Tatanka. meh, didn't really care for the match...allthough I found it funny how Tatanka yelled at the ref...again. First week, leg underneath the ropes, this week, tights pulled. I sense Tatanka going heel.
Lashley vs. Finlay. Regal pulls the ref from the ring and then attacked Lashley. This is starting to tick me off. Give me a week where Regal and/or Finlay do not attack Lashley. However I found it funny during the end. Lashley supposedly overcame the triple threat, and when they were walking up the rampway, Lashley tosses a chair toward Finlay...which actually hits him. every time I see that re-play I'm laughing my ass off...because it looks funny as hell.
Undertaker vs. The Great Khali. This match was asounding. I thought there were a couple of times Taker should have been down and Khali should have won the match, but I guess that's what you call suspence. I guess this match was going to happen sooner or later, I just wished that it would have been the Punjabi Prison Match (the one at the GAB) instead of the Last Man Standing Match. How'd the Punjabi Prison match look anyway...with Big Show?
Vito vs. some nut jobber (from D.C.?). Meh. What kind of main event is this? I mean come on, a mid-card guy vs. a jobber for Main Event? you can do better SD. Vito is starting to scare me now with his "nasty" submission. I think eventually Vito is going to lose his gimmick and once he does he's going to go ECW.
Lastly, segments that weren't matches. Another Boogeyman video (saw enough allready), MVP (starting to get sick of him...and he's not even on WWE's roster right now :P) and the King Booker/Batista segment at the end. That segment leads me to Summerslam's PPV picks.
ECW World Champion Big Show vs. Sabu (for the title) I don't think they're constantly going to push Big Show with the title, however there really aren't a lot of heels it seems like. It seems like I can't pick one guy over the other here...however I just bought a Sabu shirt not too long ago and because of that I want Sabu to make me prowd, otherwise if Sabu looses...the next time I see him in person I'm going to invest in one of those shirt cannons and shoot my shirt into his face.
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero. Firstly, Chavo's been retired for about four months. Rey's been the World Heavyweight Champion in those four months. I sense Chavo is going to beat the crap out of Rey Mysterio. If he doesn't, it's going to be another lengthy story of Rey vs. Chavo matches (reference to Rey vs. Eddie there).
Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair (I Quit Match). The last I Quit Match I ever saw was John Cena vs. JBL at Judgement Day 2005 (saw it live...and I must say...holy shit). This match will not be for the feint of heart. And this match is a dream match from what I read somewhere...can't remember where. (Last Man Standing and I Quit in the same week...w00t). BTW, I picked Foley.
Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton. I picked Hogan to win just because he hasn't wrestled since Summerslam of last year it looks like, however I think Orton probably will win. I'm still staying with Hulk though.
D-Generation X vs. The McMahons. I picked DX just because The McMahons really don't wrestle and for them to climb the POWER 25 would just be messed up.
World Heavyweight Champion King Booker vs. Batista (for the title) I say King Booker wins. He's been on a roll...that and Batista is saying he never lost his title...so Booker wins and Batista officially loses his title :P.
WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena (for the title). People are saying Edge is a interim champ. If this is truly true, then Edge will lose once again to Cena. I say Edge successfully defends...that and the storyline of Edge and Lita being the first couple with a championship can continue for a while.
So in review, Sabu, Chavo Guerrero, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan (allthough it will probably be Randy Orton), D-Generation X, King Booker, and Edge
