King Booker deserves the belt finally, last time he held that same belt was back in WCW but it will be good to see Batista back with the belt in future though. :)

So the DVD is out huh? Sweet deal that they included another ppv along with it. Is that deal only with wal-mart or is it on other stores as well?

well, it's good to see how expertly this is being handeled. And it's Nice to see Vince Getting behind talented wrestlers Like Sabu and RVD. I've always know Mr. McMahon to push Fan Favorites (wether they're any good or not), not for the sake of Money, but for the sake of keeping the Brand Alive, so fans will tune in or buy tickets to see their favorite guy duke it out and possibly win the title.

but aleast now he can get behind Someone who is talented and a fan favorite.

I'm also going to give E-C-DUB one last night. I'm excted to finally be able to see CM Punk in action, as well as that Vampire guy, whom I have high hopes for. I was a little let down to find out that it wan't Gangrel, but oh well. They SHould bring back Gangrel, He was cool.

ANd, after whatching some old videos of A.J. Styles as NWA heavyweight champion, I've decided to make him my newest favorite wreslter, above John Cena.

Atta boy! AJ Styles is the man! He could beat Cena's ass anyday, because he is the Phenomenal AJ Styles! Yeah, Cena couldn't carry AJ Styles jock strap. All hail the Phenomenal one!

Even better, TNA's on tonight! I hope I can see a match with Daniels and Styles in it. They work great as a team.

...wait, tonights that tag match with Christian Cage and Sting against Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner...

...ah well, it sounds promising.

I'll be watching iMPACT! tonight as usual. I like Styles & Daniels as Tag Team champs but I don't like the Amazon woman that helps them. She's like TNA's version of Chyna. If she were to face Chyna, Nicole Bass, and Shaniqua in a Fatal Four Way, It would be one of the worst matches of all time. Has anyone watched the wrestling matches that I recently posted on Page 470 yet?

You just posted them a while back so I don't think people have had a chance to see it... But I did watch one I watched the Liger-Joe vs Low-ki and American Dragon.

As soon as I get a chance I'll watch Roderick Strong vs Jamie Noble.

Mamaluke has been mostly squashed, but did you watch the same Sabu/Roadkill match that I did? Roadkill not only got a great amount of offense and controlled Sabu for a good couple of minutes or so in a short bout, but also managed not to tap for a Camel Clutch. He only tapped when the hold was reapplied with a chair pushed into his back. That to me says that the point was that Roadkill "hung" with Sabu there. He seems like someone they want to push.

I don't know if other titles will be added just yet. This is a "summer series", whatever the hell that means, and with only one hour a week and goodness only knows when and if they'll get PPV time, I doubt more belts are coming into play anytime soon. But yes, spots will open up, but only if they open them themselves. Stop giving us squashes and Kelly and then the oppurtunities will flow.

What that means is that SciFi has only so far greenlit the series for 12 weeks. Considering how good the rating has been for them though, I'd imagine they'll want to keep it, but there's rumors USA would take it if they didn't. I'm kind of hoping that USA takes it over as I will point out the biggest reason below. Also, the next PPV is already confirmed for December. Whether they'll get time on any "cross-brand" shows is something I haven't heard about, but I don't think it'd be a terrible idea to book a couple big matches to add to something like Summerslam...and I do NOT mean interbrand, I mean ECW guy against ECW guy.

Punk

I've been hearing that he can work the ECW crowds like he's a veteran of the company. He should be their top guy within a year I'm told.

Show can wrestle. Show can fly. He's proven this, but WWE wants him to be the big scary guy that'll hit you. He needs freedom. With that freedom, he can Moonsault his way into the heart of ECW fans everywhere.

One move isn't exactly flying, but letting him do things he couldn't in WWE will certainly help him out. I don't think making him a heel at first is a bad idea either. But they certainly need to make him seem like a different Big Show now that he moved.

Thats my point. I'm not saying WWECW totally sucks, or is dead. I've been saying all along that it was simply not the old ECW and that the old ECW is dead and gone. I doubt they'll let Super Crazy back, because they seem to want him on SD! Psicosis is another story. And man, don't be fooled. I've seen Knox, and he's just another big guy.

I don't really know that they want him on SD! all that much, they need bodies to throw at Helms, but they can get any lightweight to do that, if they even remember they have such a division. Psichosis and or Crazy would be better served going somewhere else where they might be able to really add something to the show, and be respected by the fans.

True. We can't rely soley on the old ECW crew. But I'd appreciate Sandman and Dreamer getting better than they are, and I'd also appreciate talent instead of Test and Fertig. Figure this, Kenny, Punk, Cabana(he's still in the DSW, right?) Carlito, Nitro, Haas, Kash over Test, Fertig, Knox. I think they could have made a lot of better and unique choices for ECW.

True, I wish they would have picked some other people to go fill slots on SD! and RAW, and get all the ECW guys back where they belong, but there's still plenty of time to move those guys over, and those other guys out if they don't work. Fertig may not even be used a great amount since he already failed once, and the only reason he's there is as a concession to Sci-Fi. If they were to move away from Sci-Fi and go to USA or something, I don't think Fertig and Shelly the Fortune teller would be moving with them. As far as Sandman and Tommy, hey, I'd like to see them get better pushes, or at least be used in a way that helps put over quality guys. Considering WWE decided to package this years One Night Stand with Barely Legal, which prominently features much of the talent they've got for the new ECW, that opputurtunity may just come for them. Like I say, I'm still very encouraged in hearing that the show will get built around RVD and Sabu. So while there's definitely stuff to hate, I do have to applaud and agree that is the correct way to go.

I believe Sabu is on his way to something bigger. As for the "unestablished talent", thats bull. Allow them some exposure minus squashes, and we'll be fine. The FBI, Justin Credible, Balls Mahoney all could get in good with the fans given a chance to. IT all comes down to managing time, and there needs to be less time in fucking Kelly and Knox.

I wish they'd cut down on their time by just letting Knox do his squash and get out, no "Kelly's Expose" but they keep advertising it like it's going to be a big part of the show, so we'll just have to live with it for now. I keep hearing Justin Credible will be used, and he'll be getting a partner to make a new Impact Players tandem. If they get the right guy, that could be very interesting. Balls is decent, but may be hampered by the new ECW's seeming disdain for crowd fighting and truly over the top brawling. We'll see.

.....thats all I been saying bro.

It sounded to me like you were drawing comparisons between the two like a lot of other people have, and while they may share a name, talent, and WWE is certainly trying to invoke that legacy and atmosphere, these are different animals.

I'm not done with WWECW my friend. I'll watch because it's the new brand.

And I'll watch because it still has enough of the old ECW locker room, and I truly believe that given some time to really figure out and formulate what needs to be focused on with the show, it's going to get better. This past week was the first real out and out bomb in my opinion since week 1, and you have to give them sort of a pass here since they had to drastically rewrite this show, and RAW before it due to the RVD/Sabu incident. They didn't plan to have to switch the belt on Wednesday.

Poor Heyman.

Source: PWTorch.com

Although Paul Heyman has not revealed his true feelings regarding losing power within the ECW brand, wrestlers say that Heyman's always in a "fake good mood" backstage.

Last week, his presence in the lockerroom was described as resembling a "whipped puppy dog" - he did not strongly react to McMahon's assuming of creative duties.

He had a larger role this week, although he still has very limited power. He's not even producing the announcing for Joey Styles and Tazz, a role most assumed would undoubtedly belong to Heyman.

When I first heard that all matches would be with WWE rules I got pissed.. but you have to think about the health of the wrestlers, going through a table or taking chair shots every match would cause wrestlers to burn out rather quickly. Besides ECW wasn't just about the violence it was also about good wrestling hopefully this will make more fans realize it.

Damn it Orton! How stupid can you be?

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Randy Orton is the latest wrestler in a long line of wrestlers to violate the WWE's Wellness Program. Sources within WWE have confirmed that Randy Orton recently failed to meet the requirements to pass the WWE Wellness Program drug test. Also, WWE officials found over eight bottles of non-prescription Painkillers in Randy Orton's dressing bag at a recent event. Vince McMahon recently had a talk with talent from all three brands in which he warned them about the use of Painkillers. And if that isn't enough, it should be noted that Orton has tested positive for steriod use within the last two months.

Seeing how he will be a vital part of SummerSlam when he does battle with Hulk Hogan, it remains to be seen if WWE will punish him, thus complicating this important storyline. If action isn't taken, it will be highly unfair to Rob Van Dam, not to mention that it will look very bad in the eyes of the public.

There will be more on this story as it develops.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-07-07 00:27:16

That would be a major strike two for Orton in recent memory. Three if you count both the drugs he tested positive for if this story is true. Would WWE fire him?

I think the best thing wwe can do is continue the storyline until it's done then send his ass to rehab as well as issuing a fine. If wwe kept Eugene after his painkillers episode the same can be done for Orton. WWE really does not want to lose him to TNA, but hell if he is messing up this bad would he really be worth it?

TNA was so-so tonight. Not too great, but not the worst show either. I hate the fact that Double J has the belt again. I really really dislike him. Really.

Jarett is like the country version of John Cena only without the kids cheering for him. The main event got so much hype but the best match of the night was the Sonjay Dutt vs Homicide match.

As for Orton... If RVD got suspended because of what happened a couple of days ago then so should Orton like you mentioned Eugene was also suspended for a similar incident and to not suspend Orton would unfair to both Eugene and RVD.

LordKooler's TNA iMPACT! review
1.Sonjay Dutt vs Homicide
A good match to start off iMPACT! After Homicide won, The LAX beat up Sonjay until Ron Killings came out to attack the LAX.
2.Monty Brown vs Kenny King
Brown squashed Kenny King at the end. Then Monty Brown calls Samoa Joe a "Hippofit" and talks about Jeff Jarrett.
3.Kevin Nash & Paparazzi Productions segment
Johnny Devine recently left Team Canada to join Alex Shelley's Paparazzi Productions. Team Canada hasn't officialy broke up yet, But if they lose to Team 3D, Rhino, and Jay Lethal next week, It'll be all over for Team Canada. Kevin Nash brings a bodybag to the ring and he says that Osama Bin Laden is inside the bodybag. But the person in the bodybag is actually Chris Sabin! Nash & his gang attack Sabin until Jay Lethal came out to make the save. If the Great Khali were in TNA instead of WWE, He'd be feuding with the X Division instead of Nash.
4.Sting & Christian Cage vs Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner
Mike Tenay & Don West are calling this match the biggest main event in iMPACT! history. Sting & Christian won at the end. Then Samoa Joe came out and helped Christian & Sting attack Steiner & Jarrett.

I think Randy Orton may get off with a suspension. If he makes a dumbass move again he may get canned. I think his last suspension may have had something to do with a SD! wrestler, that could explain the move to Raw.

I can't believe how much of a dumbass Orton can be. How many times can I guy fuck up in a single year? I hope he gets suspended or at least fined; otherwise, I'm gonna be really pissed.

Well, moving on...TNA was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the matches, but it's the segments and promo's I dont like. I also didn't like the squash by Monty Brown. They need to give him a decent match one of these days.

Until then, I'll be looking up more stuff on the Orton story.

PS: In the near future, could you post more death matches? Those are one of my favorite types of matches. Like the Zandig vs. Wifebeater match you posted about a month back. Great match. Just a suggestion...

Mark my words, Orton will not go to TNA, the WWE cannot afford to lose such a big draw. Plus, there are many wrestlers (Masters, Eugene, RVD...) who violated the drug police. Even Eugene did not get fired from taking drugs, neither will be Orton. The consequences will not be more than a fine. But they may keep him jobbing as the punishment though. :P
