Welcome to the dude who isn't banned and a future welcome to the guy who is.

What gets me the most about TNA right now is that you have a huge group of heels that dominate on a regular basis and is afraid of one guy. sure said one guy, Sting, is a force to be reconed with but look at how many people are with Jarrett..

I'm sure Sting will eventually rally the face troops and have a clash against the heels probably something like an eight-man tag match.

I find this to be an interesting read. followed by me saying.. "ouch". Looks like SNME isn't going to last.:

The Fast National rating for WWE's "Saturday Night's Main Event" came in below a 3.4 last night (specific numbers were not available at press time), indicating that wrestling's presence on a major network did nothing to revitalize interest in the product.

According to Nielsen Media Research, NBC's two hours of wrestling caused the network to place last among the four channels offering national programming Saturday night.

The professional wrestling industry was looking for a significantly higher number, going as far as to suggest that anything below a 5.0 would be a disappointment.

While those within the TV industry had lower expectations, the score is also below those estimates and does not create an optimistic outlook for future WWE programming on NBC (outside of the confirmed summer SNME).

WWE sources will likely attribute the low rating to the NCAA tournament, but even then, the company will not be able to spin this as great news.

I believe I predicted this on Saturday morning. No one is home to watch TV at 8pm on Saturday nights. That's the bottom line. It's too early of a show for a weekend. People are out partying, drinking, and doing coke. Everyone knows that.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-20 10:48:56

That's not much of a surprise people usually go out on Saturday nights. The fact that is was done the same weekend as the start of the NCAA tournament really happened, even though I watched most of SNME I was still more interested in college basketball, but still 3.4 Raw gets better ratings than that.

Agreed, the women division is messed up right now. It is very likely that WWE will go with James vs Trish at Mania since James turned heel at SNME. Cannot stand a lesbian to be the champion. Trish is fine, but she has been the champion since January, 2005. Lita is the only hope to end Trish's long reign. But knowing WWE and the fact that she is still together with Edge, I do not see it happening any time too soon.

The rating I heard was actually about 3.4, internally, WWE expected the show to do a 5.0, which to me was a ridiculous expectation. WWE needs to be smart enough not to buy their own spin, and realize their product is not what most of the fan base they hope to reach wants and retool it. I understand going out and spinning disappointed numbers to investors and what not, but to not really look at all the possible causes for your failure to generate the numbers you want internally is absolute negligence.

I think the main reason why people didn't tune in is because wrestling is not a big thing these days. back in the mid 80's to the early 90's you couldn't go anywhere without seeing wrestling but these days it's reality TV and whacky game shows, and drama TV shows that are what peeks the people's intrest.
for the WWE to think they would pull big numbers was silly. even if their was nothing good on TV most people would find old repeats and movies on other networks more intresting.
first TNA is doing low in ratings and now the WWE is starting to fall off. maybe we could be looking at the end of professional wrestling? anything is possible

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-20 16:47:49

hey guys, just got off my ban.

First, I wonder if any of you noticed that the SNME Pre-show with masters and candice didn't happen. I guess I'm the master fuck-up this time around :'(. as it turns out, it was actually a "kick-off party", that happened on wednesday of SNME, i guess candice and masters went to some planet hollywood diner, signed autographs, and watched old SNMEs. *yawn*

Second, Congrats to the Prince Of Punk for signing with the WWE! I love how in the interveiw on wwe.com, he refers to TNA as, "the independant circuit". wassup wit dat? I didn't know about his "first" wwe career, except that he help matt hardy win the crusierweight title from billy kidman (the ass-man?). I also know that Moore Was some kind of WCW champion, I think he was the WCW hardcore champ, don't qoute me on that.

Third, Tip of the hat to the WWE writing staff!, I won't give away what might happen, but I'll give clues... Mr. McMahon Vs. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart Being Inducted into the hall of fame, The "Montreal" Inceident... this is going to be a good wrestle mania...

I agree, Lita still can use the rematch clause though. I wouldn't be suprise if Trish loses her title, it seems like the WWE is pushing her as the Fabulous Moolah of the new century.

I have to disagree with you on that one. This always happens with wrestling it gets to its peak and slowly falls down only to rise up later. Just look at what happened with the ratings when Edge was champ they went up but with Cena as champ everything is so predictable that its turned away a lot of fans from the WWE. As for TNA remember they've only been on TV for a couple of months and while I'm not a fan of bringing former WWE and WCW talent in it is good for business.

On an unrelated note I read this interview that given by Edge and this are his thoughts on the current WWE champ everybody's favorite wigger John Cena.

“I can’t stress how much fun it is wrestling John Cena,” he says. “People ask me who is underrated. A guy like Chris Benoit is underutilized. Cena is utilized correctly, but he’s underrated. Some guys were cheering him when he was doing the hard-edge raps ... now they’re booing him because he’s got little kids cheering him. It’s a bum rap that he’s not a good wrestler.”

Moolah was bullshit, seriously. She was the champion for 30 years, I mean, 30 years! Assume how many talents would she kill in that span? Her last tittle reign was in 1999. By then, she was in her 60s. How could we possibly believe that an 60+ years old woman can win the tittle? It was a terrible booking.

Actually back when Moolah was the champ for 30 years wrestling was completely different than it is today there were no storylines she would challenge other women to wrestling matches and beat them senseless. I will agree that giving her the women's title when she was in her 60's was indeed terrible booking.

I meant that there trying to make Trish leave a mark on the WWE. Only four women have had the titile for a year plus. I just hope they don't have Trish on in forty years winning the title again.

Sounds like a load of bullshit to me. No one starting booing Hulk Hogan when little kids were cheering for him. No one booed Bret Hart when little kids were cheering for him. No one booed Sting when little kids were cheering for him. I've had enough of these excuses. He is beeing booed because he has a stale gimmick and lacks pure wrestling ability. Get used to it.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-03-20 20:27:14

I think its more of a combination of a stale gimmick and not only that he wins every match but he wins them in miraculuos fashion besides are you telling me that Hogan was a great wrestler? Hogan had a lot more charisma than Cena and he did look like someone who couldn't lose but he sucked as a wrestler.

Inspeaking of Trish Stratus, she has been wrestling in the WWE for six years as of yesterday. She isn't that bad of a wrestler. Lita, Trish, and Ashley are the only female wrestlers that really impress me. I am really interested to see what Maria can do.

Lita, Trish, Mickey and Victoria are good female wrestlers. Ashley really kinda sucks at wrestling, but thankfully she doesn't wrestle too often.

Mickey's segment tonight was beautiful. Cute psycho girls are awesome.

You can tell it was a pretty good segment simply because we're talking about it on a different note the IC title triple threat match was the best thing on RAW last night even though I thought the ending was a bit dumb. And what's with VInce talking crap for the first 20 minutes of the show?

A transcript of the new promo for Backlash may have spoiled some of the results for WM, personally I don't believe any of ot but I'll post the ones that seemed most interesting.

Triple H: "At Backlash, The Game begins"
John Cena: "At Backlash, I'll take what's mine"

This suggest that Cena would lose (Please let it be true)

Rob Van Dam: "The questions end" ???
Carlito: "At Backlash, the future starts" (That's Cool).
