I find WWE to pretty much suck right now with there soap opera/comic book storylines which is turing me off from there product. My fav. wrestling fed right now is Ring Of Honor (ROH), they offer pure wrestling as a sport and is far from "Sports Entertainment" there site is rohwrestling.com if you want to know. Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

I've heard of ROH, but I've never seen it. Unfortunately for me, I don't get to see PPV's or Indy Shows, and my only venue is WWE. I agree though that WWE's stories suck major ass (especially on SmackDown) but where else can I turn? I had hoped that TNA might eventually go to cable, but from what I hear, Jeff Jarrett is pulling a McMahon and running his fed into the ground too.

Yeah, Jones and Morgan put up a pretty good effort. I hope they'll be in the hunt of the Championship soon. As for A-Train, given his recent improvements, I say we give him probably two or three monthes to see if he keeps it up. If he can, I say give him a good manager to compensate his lack of personality and put him in the running for US Title (After all, I doubt he'll ever be undisputed title material and lets face it, the US title really doesn't mean anything. Its just a prop or plot device to give the illusion that, say, the Big Show/Guerrero fued actually meant something.)

A lot of people were surprised by the fact that Nathan Jones didn't completely suck which is pretty much what people expected.

here is a riddle for you:

How many pushes does it take to get a-train over?

The answer:

None. No matter what you do he will always suck.

NO matter how vast a-train improvements are, there are still many other who deserve a push more than him. Where is a-trains mic skills? he's terrible, not entertaining at all. A-train matches are for going to the bathroom and gettin a drink

I really don't think thats a fair assumption. Maybe I'm just not as critical as you, but I think that if a wrestler is actually showing improvement, he at least deserves a chance before we condemn him/her entirely. True, I'll admit that A-Train has a less than inspiring track record, and yes, he has zero mic skills or charisma (he makes Goldberg look good in that respect). However, as he is showing in ring improvement, I'm personally going to give the guy a chance for a few monthes. Now I'll admit that their is more deserving talent (I'm STILL waiting for a Sean O'Haire push. He is the most deserving and the least used. He rarely even gets on Velocity, for god's sake) and A-Train certainly doesn't deserve a top spot, but look at it like this: He's a wrestler. His job is to wrestle. If you have mic skills, thats a nice frosting to the cake, but you're primary concern is to wrestle. Thats why you have manangers and tag partners and female valets. To make the wrestler who lacks charisma look good. Heyman made Big Show look good, right? So I say we give a-Train a chance. If by, say, Royal Rumble, he's still an utter failure, than I'll retract this entire statement. But you never know. Maybe A-Train'll take acting lessons :D!

Yes Lord Kooler I know you made a SD! review but if you read up a little, P-Bot asked any1 to tell him about SD! so I did.

I've gotta agree with ^.A-Train has been getting better in his matches and in ring skills. And I also agree that if by the RR if he falls apart....the he just blows Brahma Bull balls

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-11-08 21:34:30

A-Train has been getting better in the ring but I think this push will just end up being a waste of time.

But how many chances does he need? it seems like every few months he gets a push and blows it. Im tired of it. He has had at least 4 pushes since WM 19 and look where they went. Why does he deserve 1 more? I think there should be a roster switch and a-train should be placed on the janitors roster.....

granted, but this time around a-train is actually showing wrestling talent. before, he was an utter failure in everyway. now, he's showing that he's at least trying to improve. if it was goldberg, who's adamant that he's already the best and doesn't even make an effort, i'd say no. he'd deserve no second chances. or like big show, who says he's "fat and happy" and pleased with his current performances. however, train actually looks to be trying, so thats why he deserves the chance. besides that, its obvious that wwe won't stop pushing him even if fans don't want to see him, so you might as well make the best of a bad situation.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-11-09 15:25:57

I think A-Train and Brock would be a great match. Truthfully im getting sick and tired of matches where every1 knows the oppent will lose.Like Rey vs Big show?! Big show vs Orlando Jones?! that itilan lookin' kid vs Brock?! Brock vs Zack Gowin?! I think matches like that are pathetic and they waste precious SD! time.

How exactly are any of us immature, sick or twisted? What exact proof do you have of this? Unless you can actually meet and now what any of us are like, you can't make any assumptions.

its not real n i learnt this along time ago, so should u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one in this club is retarded. Everyone knows its fake, but we don't care. We still find it to be entertaining. Thats why its called "Sports ENTERTAINMENT" and not "Actual Sport"

If you don't like it, don't post here. So shut the fuck up, calm down, and in the future don't use so many exclamation points. It only goes to prove what a melodramatic holier-than-thou noob you really are.

Hey, everyone. Just to give you a heads up if you read it, but tomorrow will be the last Rook Review for a while. I'll just be on hiatus for a while. No, I won't be on vacation, and there's no emergency or anything, I just feel bored with it. (Plus it doesn't help with all the flaming asshats who spam this topic, but that's not why I'm leaving either) After tomorrow, if anyone wants to fill in, feel free to write up next weeks review.

News stolen from wrestling-news.com!

WWE will definitely have new storylines start stemming out of Survivor Series. One heavy favorite, is to shy away from Angle vs Lenar. The two seem to be intertwined with each other for well over a year. There is a possibility that Chris Benoit may come out of Survivor Series, as the sole survivor, setting up a possible feud with Brock Lesnar. Will Benoit finally get the title run he deserves?

There's another scenario about Eddie and Chavo splitting up, so Eddie could get a title shot at Brock. However, if Chavo turns on Eddie, they may have to have a brief feud first.

Another rumor is the return of Stephanie McMahon at Survivor Series. Now we've spoke on the hotline about the scenario of her possibly helping her father, and start a brief angle with her mother about throwing in the towel. I hope we are wrong.

If Benoit gets a title shot, and wins, I will be a very happy man. But he'll probably be screwed out of it like the two other times he held a heavyweight belt...

A little rundown: Benoit beat Siv Vicious to win the WCW title, has stripped of it. Benoit soon defected to WWF with the Radicalz. Then in WWF, in a fatal four way with Rock, Undertaker, and Kane, Benoit used the ropes to pin Rock for the win. Another ref came out and ordered the match to restart...

The only thing Benoit has against him, is poor mic skills... and the fact he's not 6'4... Mainly his height, because Vince has a 'big man' fetish, only every so often a 'normal' sized guy wins the heavyweight title. Bret Hart, Shawn Michales, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho are pretty much the only examples I can think of.

And Eddie/Chavo feud would be refreshing, Eddie needs to get out of the tag division and either win the US championship, or go for the WWE title. But again, Eddie is not someone Vince sees as 'championship material'...

Stephanie siding with her father? Way too soon. I know Vince things wresting fans have a short attention span, but come on!

I think both Benoit and Eddie need World title runs. It's abou time they considered benoit with a fued with Lesnar, he and Angel are good but you can only do that match so many times.

I want vince off tv..better yet away from the writers so they can be creative for once.

OK, coolness. I still got tonights show covered, but then its all yours for awhile.

Anyway, when Hardy moves to RAW, what do you think (or hope) will become of Shannon Moore? Will he fall through the cracks and end up like Sean O'Haire and Kanyon, or will he get a singles push in the CW Division and (hopefully) become champion? I vote the latter, though I know it probably won't happen.
Also, I know the current story makes total sense, but would anyone else rather see Tajiri vs. Ultimo Dragon at SS? I mean, they could've built heat from that brush off Dragon gave Tajiri a couple of weeks ago...

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-11-10 13:25:16

I think they are going to pair Moore with Kidman.

I'd love to see Dragon vs. Tajiri!

On the flip side of the first question, what will Matt do on Raw? Sure he's going to fued with Christian, but what next? I'm hopeing for an IC title run.

Sorry I havn't posted for a few days! My fault! Anyways, who saw RAW last night? It was awesome! The forst match was the IC TItle on the line, "Thank God RVD won!", then to end it was Goldburg versus Bautista. And when Hunter Heast Hursly tried to interfere, Goldburg turned the tables on BOTH Bautista and Triple H. Makes me wish I could see Survivor Series...

life takes time.
