EDIT: Mark Henry will complete Angle's transformation into a BABYFACE, not a heel. Sorry for the mistake.

EDIT: 2006 Royal Rumble Match -- RVD or Randy Orton or HHH

I am not sure if WWE should make Henry the challenger. Angle will certainly be the babyface there. However, in longer terms, there is a problem. Taker said that he wanted to be the champion once more, so WWE has decided to give him another shot and have him going over Angle at NWO because he is the deadman. So here is the problem. Taker has been the biggest face ever since 2003 and it is very doutbtful that he will turn to heel. If it is Taker vs face Angle at NWO just like what they advertised. Kurt will get booed off the roof. (everybody will) So I am not quite sure if it is a great idea to turn Angle face. But with Bastista injured, WWE seems to be left with no options. Discuss.

damnit the post I just did didn't work right. I had put a description next to all the names for teh RR entrys, but it screwed up, and now I don't feel like doing ot again.

o well.. I'm guessing that Orton and HHH are good candidates for winning

I wonder why Undertaker isn't part of this? Where has he been?

I hate posting spoilers. But according to www. prowrestling.com, Taker will challenge Angle for the gold at No Way Out and wins it. That's why he will be missing the RR.

You shouldn't always trust the rumors so that may not happen. I'm just wondering if they are going to get taker in there in time for mania, and keep his record going.

Shame on you the stFU is a great sudmission move.

An OK RAW otherwise, though.

1. Edge def Cena to retain. (Did you see Cena standing tall tonight? It never happened on the very last episodes of RAW before PPVs when he was the champ. This time, he is going down! Mark my words.)

I agree with this.

2. Kurt Angle def Mark Henry to retain. (Who is Mark Henry?)

definetly

3. Randy Orton/HHH wins the Royal Rumble. (I am not sure about this one, it depends on if RO can beat Benoit clean on the SD!, he will win. Otherwise, HHH will win.)

Eh the royalus rumblus I dont have any good predictions. HHH hes going to put himself in the main event. Or Lashely this raw powerhouse has a great chance, I mean just look at lesnar.

4. Ashley def Mickie James. (It is obvious that Trish will cost James' match which will start the feud between them.)

I think James will spaz out when she sees trish and ashley talk backstage before the match. Then a fued will come.

5. The Boogeyman def JBL (Sorry JBL, The Boogeyman is an Undertaker-like figure which means that you have to job to him clean.)

Eh who cares who wins this match I am saying Jibbles.

What do you guys think about the matches? Welcome to predict.

I just did.

At 1/24/06 03:03 AM, aviewaskewed wrote: Finishers are a way to end a match yes, which is why they should not be kicked out of multiple times. The whole point of a "finisher" is that you don't get back up from it. While I tend to disagree with someone like JBL who will bash a Masato Tanaka/Mike Awesome match for being all about them kicking out of each other's finishers and taking hellacious abuse, I think it makes sense because they know each other so well, and have taken the moves so often. But to be able to have that "holy shit! He kicked out of his finish! How tough is this son of a bitch?" you need the finish to work 9 times out of 10. Kicking out of the Tombstone isn't impressive unless the Tombstone beats just about everyone else who's taken it.

Was angle slam even a finisher whens the last time someone was defeated by that. Usually Kurt locks in the anglelock right after. Its the essential of the finisher if everyone kicked out of the sc stunner and pedigree those moves would just be lame and unpopular.

At 1/24/06 05:14 PM, Dream_of_Duke wrote: Talking about Cena's new finisher STFU, it was such a stupid moive. Basically, the movement is nothing but a rip-off of Chris Benoit's crossface. In order to increase wigger Cena's superman power, opponents have been tapped within 3 seconds once the STFU (shut the fuck up? lol!) is locked. So far, I have not seen anyone break the lock yet. God, Cena's superman gimmick needs to rest in peace!

Nah its not the crossface its just a STF Step-over Toe-hold Facelock but modified with wigger powers. I am going to hate to see cena win more by submission and its probably going to be the move you cants escape (SIGH), because submission>pinfall

I'm kidna sorry they didn't leave any spots open for surprises. But in the past guys have jumped others and taken their spot before so that could happen again, but I doubt it.

I've been playing Raw vs. SD 2006 again (I got distracted by another game) and I just can't seem to break away from the same damn story line. i really want to face undertakre to get the urn trophy, but I seem to be stuck on teh same stuff.

Also.. is it just me or does the CAW mode suck in this game?

I own the game too.Yes I know the storyline is 10 times better than the shit piece in tha last one.But im dissapointed to see that you cant have superstar and earn title shots.I mean in this one I hate how you cant ask for title shots and change the stryline. Will the create a entrance feature was better then I thought. But I wish they do something from forcing you to wait through all those loading screens plus I wish you could place time when the lightning effects came in.I like the new and better ai but there still dumb at times.I also think the gm mode is good but lacks. It has some great potential.I like the new fighting features.I think the stamina thing adds some stragedy.Though theres only 2 flaws.

1.The oppoment is'int frozen for you to do your aerial finisher.Like in the old games.

2.Plus the possum thing is a little complicated.

About caw it's preatty been the good same self as it always has been.I mean you can create more actually wrestlers that did'int end up being in the game.Just check this http://www.sdvsraw2.com/caws/ so anywho it's a imporove over the last game. But still not any huge differences.

Yea, I saw it last night. Randy Orton jobbed to Benoit again, cleanly this time. But I think that it is the set up for him to win the RR. Assume that RO beat the living hell out of Taker at Armageddon and defeated Benoit instead of losing to him clean. He would be an easy pick to win the RR. If RR is that predictable, why bother watching? Two months ago, there was a rumor saying that RO was going to win the RR. The thing that WWE did was to de-push him before the Rumble so that it could become a bit more unpredictable. However, Vince is not smart enough to fool me although he came close. In addition, say that Taker or Angle holds the blet until WM22, then either of them has to face a heel challenger. JBL is overused, Mark Henry sucks. So the only option left is Randy. Mark my words, RO will win the RR and he will get assist from Booker. (remember the deal?)

ok I am back. been busy. you know how it is. anyway. I just checked the WWE site and they are bringing that saturday show back in march. which means they fear TNA. they are rushing it and they already found a network to put it on which is NBC. which is dumb cause that means they will do it either after SNL which is past TNA or before TNA which means they will do it from 10:30 till 11:30 right when TNA starts., you know this is sad. I mean I know it is a dog eat dog world and you have to do what you can to survive but vince has billions and TNA has crumbs. I mean sting was making millions in WCW now he is making half that in TNA which is a major pay cut. Vince has the money to buy out anyone in TNA and break it down from the inside yet he does it the long way which is try to take ratings from them which will fail cause people will chose TNA over that saturday night shit

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-01-26 10:37:15

what's worse is that it's on NBC. do you know how watered down it's going to be? TNA would win by default just based on that.

Which brand will be using that time slot anyway?

I actually thought that he was kind of a badass during the SD/RAW feud, but now he's not being well-used. He's not terrible in the ring, but he is a little clumsy, and his character is annoying. (I don't like heels in general, though I do make exceptions for special heels like HHH and Eddie when he was in his feud with Rey). I'd like to see more heel roles where it's more badass and less lameass. Y'know, heels that typically go 'lol me so great' like JBL and sometimes Orton. (not to say Orton isn't awesome. He's way cool). I like HHH cuz he's a heel with more depth than that. Hell, I'd like to see more Heel vs. Heel stuff now and then.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-01-26 22:36:16

Dudes. Kurt Angle is gonna fight MNM in a Handicap Match. Awesome. He's been so much cooler since he left RAW and went to a brand that won't job him.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2006-01-27 00:17:59

It's not so much that he was jobbing on Raw, it's just that wwe desparatly wanted to get Cena over and considered a legit champ. See how well that worked out for them huh?

Well, Kurt's a lot more of a badass now, I can tell ya that. It's too bad it'll make MNM look weak. They've had some damn good matches. (Most of which involved Rey. He and MNM probably do a lot of backstage work to do some of the stuff they do sometimes...)

It used to be when Angle was starting, but as he ascended to the main events, they decided to have him doing Ken Shamrock's ankle lock (I assume because they felt it would make Angle appear more like a legitimate wrestler, and thereby make his matches look more legit).

It's not really enhanced with anything from what I can see, it's just an STF with an added letter so that it becomes "Cena's move" kind of like when The Rock would do the sharpshooter, and I found that idea horribly stupid, same as this one.

It's probably because you're not losing at the right time. You can ONLY get this story if you play an SD! story mode, and you MUST NOT obtain Torrie Wilson as you're manager (to be safe, distasteful as it may be, job to JBL in the PPV bout), this will immediately take you into the Taker storyline, which heavily features Eddie Guerrero if you're not playing as him. Please note that the finish to the mode involves a buried alive match, and images of Eddie in a casket, and being buried, so you may want to not watch that section. It's your call, but that's how you get that storyline going.

Also.. is it just me or does the CAW mode suck in this game?

I think it's just you, I agree the mode is not friendly to amateurs, hasn't been for a couple of years, but there's some good sites out there to use. Try this one: http://www.caws.ws/

Well Randy jobbed to Benoit again meh... Although I liked how Randy tried to piledrive Benoit on the concrete floor. Benoit tried to one man conchairto Randy but missed.. In the end Benot smashed Orton with a trashcan lid and locked in the CF and made Randy tap out. Good match overall (I enjoyed how Benoit chopped the shit out of Orton).

The rest of SD was shit expect for maybe the Kurt VS MNM match... Iwonder whos gonna win the RR...
