Goldberg would not lose to jericho because he was "too small" Even now he refuses to job to people with a smaller body frame than his. Eddie, Edge, J2Y, RVD, and even Rey could beat Goldberg..But he would never allow himself to be beaten by them...true not all of them are main event talent (yet) but still even the Rock loses to smaller guys every now and again, like the match with Jeff. Can you really respect a guy who thinks only of himself and refuses to put people over? I can't...Jericho deserved to be pushed to greatness and he couldn't get it in WCW because of Goldberg..His going to WWE was the best thing he could have done for his career.

thank you outlaw 88 and pepeatumi for once again proving rugby wrong. I dont even think rugbys lying anymore. he is just so terribly misinformed and he was easy to dupe into believing those lies.....

I mean in wcw days goldberg was a top star. Why would jericho (a mid card performer at the time) not want to have a program with the top guy at the time? he would have nothing to lose. it wouldnt make sense. But goldberg didnt want to be associated with anyone smaller than him card rank or in stature because it would hurt him. Thats bullshit.

dont you see what a cancer goldberg is to any company? he doesnt help or put anyone over. HBK did it. Austins done it. the rock has done it. Bret did it. Flair did it. Hogan did it. why cant goldberg? Please respond to that point. I want to know why you think goldberg cant/wont put anyone over. What makes goldberg so different from all those amazing performers. Goldberg couldnt hold a torch to any of those men. But yet he feels he cant do what they do/did. Why?

Maybe Goldberg knows how full of shit he is and he lacks personal confidence. Remaining in the top spot is the only way he can feel good about himself.

Why? Well I think since he got to the top he will do anything to stay there as long as he can.

by "on top" does not always mean having the title. Being in a main event or main story line and just hogging tv time is what he's after. Having the title is just iceing on his very large cake.

Didn't you hear Goldberg actually got mad at the writers and at JR for pointing out last week that Batista is bigger than he is that just goes to show you what ego Goldberg has.

OK, the Y2J thing in WCW, Confedencial I believe it was, was talking to people about Goldberg, and refering to the WCW days when he made a feud with Goldberg, but never did wrestle him, he said he refused to fight Goldberg on TV or a house show, only on PPV would he wrestle against Goldberg, the writers never wanted to put them in a PPV event so it never happend.
That long post that you said made no sense. This is that post in a nutshell. People win and lose a match not based upon ability, but based upon what the storyline says and who the writers decide wins. So having beatin everyone or a streak lasting 1 month or 1 year are all based upon the writers. You mentioned Goldberg wouldnt wrestle people that were small. MAybe thats true I have no idea. But if you dont like the job the writers are doing with a character, then pack up your ball and go home like Austin did.

The fact of the matter is that Goldberg is a wrestler with absolutely no talent and an egomaniac that refuses to job to smaller yet more talented and deserving people (Jericho).

again you are mistaken. Maybe they wanted chris to say that for the show. ( PSSST: its scripted... )\
but the fact of the matter is it was goldberg who didnt want to fight chris.

ummm i am home. And the writers arent doing a bad job, its goldberg. He demands so much control the writers are left with little to no options. Also dont diss Austin. He put up with alot of shit, plus they were running his character into the ground. dont make it ound like he was being a baby. He built that company he deserves control and not to be demoted. goldberg has it in his contract that he wont job to lesnar or HHH. What kind of jackass does that?

Ok Im new here and am not sure if this has been brought up, But all I want to know is.....Do the belts mean anything any more? I remember a time when a Champ would hold a belt for a year or more.I remember a time when it took a career to get the the championship belt or any belt for that matter.Not to mention getting the belt a # of times.A whole career!!!! Real chanps like Bret Hart for example. But now it seems as though the belts are just a way to get someone over.We the fans know if someones over, cause they prooved them self in the ring! Im tired of seeing guys getting a belt (the belt) in under a year(Brock for example) then loose the belt, then get it again,over and over and over.......You get the point. I was at WrestleMania19 in Seattle, when Brock Lesnar did a moonsault off the top and landed on the inside of his f#@ken lower lip! ON HIS FACE!!! and still won the belt...What up widat?!! An old school real champ wouldnt make a mistake like that, cause they have been in enough matches in their CAREER to know better. Look all im saying is the belt used to have purpose. 5 time champ ment you were a veteran. Am I alone here?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-10-28 07:52:56

you have a point but the time of year long title runs are over. You have to keep people interested, if it stays on one guy too long peopel tend to no longer care or just lose interest.

Want to join the club? I've posted this so many times but--If so I can give you a #. Also pick a wrestler to represent and put him/her in your BBS signature. Thank you.

Rook's RAW Review
Last night wasn't a totally outstanding show, but it was better than last week. The opening had its ups and downs. It was cool when Bischoff was about to strip Goldberg of the title, Austin had to ruin it with a stupid match no one wants to see (again). I say they should hold a tournament for the vacant belt. And next week, we get World's Fattest Man vs. The Heartbreak Kracka (where would we be without Teddy Long?)
Booker T def Rico - not a match really, as we knew Book would beat the Glorified Jobber, and its sole purpose was to set up the IC Title Match. But I don't think its fair. Rico has a fair bit of talent (he's not the best, but he's better than a few guys) and he has wicked cool sideburns. Why can't he have a cool gimmick and at least get a little bit of a push.
Mark Henry def...Wait, this was a match? - I thought this was just an excuse to set up next weeks Henry/HBK match. Two pointless "matches" Not a good sign, WWE...
John Heidenreich & The Hurricane def La Resistance - I wasn't into this match because I don't like Hurricane and I don't know anything about this Heidenreich. I suppose he did pretty good for his very first WWE match. But did anyone catch the diss the WWE sent France by having the Frenchmen beat by a guy named HeidenREICH. You know what I'm saying. And who is little Johnny? My guesses are imaginary rabbit or homosexual midget boyfriend.
Shane-O def Test - ok, I like Test, but fuck you WWE. People like Dreamer, Richards, Venis, O'Haire and Dragon get no air time, so you can put the Boss's son in a match against a crippled guy. Fuck you, Vince.
Lita def Gail Kim, Trish, and Victoria - Not completely bad like most women's matches, but thats not what concerns me. I have a theory about the Jericho/Christian/Trish/Lita think. Think about who the women are. Trish and Lita. Who were Trish and Lita romantically linked to? Why, Jeff and Matt Hardy, of course. Could the Hardy Boyz reunite on RAW to get back their bitches? I hope so...
Coach's book review - I think they ought to put Coach in a role similar to Cheif Morely. Way to pwn the boss, Coach.
Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade def Evolution - YES! That was stupendous! I loved every minute of this match, and the ending was just awesome. Way to go, Maven. You teach those Jiggly Old Man Boobs a lesson. This match is DEFINITELY leading up to a split where Orton leads Batista, Jindrak, Maven and Cade against Flair and HHH.
Chris Jericho def RVD - Best match of the night. Now thats what I call a main event. No HHH or Goldberg. Just a perfect match.
RVD def Chris Jericho - Best match of the night. Now thats what I call a main event. No HHH or Goldberg. Just a perfect match. LOL! Anyway, both men were outstanding as always. Poor Bischoff, having to escape Austin because of an accident. And each team only needs one member. My guesses are Lance Storm and Batista.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-10-28 10:58:03

Hey guys, Man, that was a cool reversal that Shane O Mac did on Test into the trash can. Anywho I have to go to school. Later

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2003-10-28 12:53:54

ahh the ever funny rook review!

I had posted my thought on the Trish/Jericho/Lita/Christian angle..Yours is just as unliekly to happen..Jeff's not comming back for a while...

Each team needs a 5ht member..so who could it be..considering both teams are mostly mid-card guys with a few main eventers (Jericho, Booker)..Lance and Batista are a good choice..but where does that leave Orton and HBK? I think Shawn will be that 5th on Austins team, but what heel to use on the other?

So there is a rumor going around that the wwe is heading towards a Goldberg Lesnar match at Wrestlemania XX.Do you guys think that would be a good match?

Austin will choose joh hiendrich(new guy) and bischoff will choose Test if he is healed up b4 survior series. Batista and orton will interfere with HHH and Goldberg match. I think HHH will win. Undertaker is going to kick Vince ass. Then hardcore holly will surpise attack lesnar and cripple him for a month.

Yes I think suicide is funny and I am sick of pretending its not.

the reason they could hold it for a year or more is there was MAYBE 1-2 shows a month. Those days were before PPV, RAW and other means of seeing the guys. So the angle could stay freash becuase you would be lucky to see a show a few times a year. But now we see the guys a few times a week. A year with the belt back in the day equals about a month today. thats just my opinion/observation....

what ever happend to Haku?

if flair is the past orton is the future and HHHis the present what the hell is batista?

what i thought was funny was that on wwe.com the said that shane gave test a "vicious beating"....hellooo he was fighting gimpy mgee for christ sakes!!!

You cant look at evolution in terms of past, present and future. You have to look at them more like the 4 horsemen.

Ric Flair= elder statesmen
HHH= leader
Batista= Enforcer
Orton= young gun/new blood

thats how I look at them and essentially those are their rolls.

I hope HHH creams goldberg at survivor series. also I miss the old 4 vs 4 single elimination matches at survivor series. is the team austin vs team bischoff match like the old school SS matches? or is it some new scheme?

If your referring to Heidenreich, that was just a one time deal as a try out. The SHiT is still around

also i hate the fact that they keep promoting HHH even in his absence...so they are gonna have goldberg leave until survivor series? was he really injured

I hear Goldberg will be back next week. As for Trips, i personally want Goldberg/Batista at Survivor Series. RAW will survive without Hunter for a couple of monthes
