Man, the beginning of RAW was heart-shattering. Seeing all of those wrestlers there in tears nearly put me in tears myself.

This Raw is like no other. Just like the Owen Hart Tribute in 1999. The same will go for SmackDown! this Friday. God Bless Eddie Guerrero. Thank you Eddie.

It is the time for Randy Orton to take in charge and be the man of SD! With Eddie dead and Batista injured, RO will become SD!'s top roster and he needs to learn that it is his time to stand up and save the show. Step one: RKO daddy. Being a Daddy's good boy is not the way how good wrestlers become great. Come on, RO!

Dream of Duke. I told you before! Batista was not in a match at all! I was there. I live in Minnesota. I was there at the Target Center when it all went down. No heavy weight title match at all, and the last match on smackdown was Chavo vs. JBL. I might be wrong on that. But Batista never wrestled.

I know some of you are wondering what I am going to say about last nights Raw since many of you know I hate it with a passion. Iliked last nighst raw cause it was a very touching thing to have people share their feelings and fight on even after aloved on has gone. they did the same thing when owen feel from the rafters and hit the ring and they rushed him out.
A couple of life thinsg I want to share cause I know we have some young people. Drugs are never the answer kids. eddie went to a path that was filled with drugs and such and even if they didn't kill him back then they did take a toll on his body in the long run.
If you are a boy and you cired when you heard some of the superstars talk, like Beniot there is no shame in that. fuck that old saying that "boys don't cry" I cry when I need to and I cried last night cause Eddie wasa true talent and to see someone like Beniot break down in tears for a fallen friend was very touching.
Life is very short people. you can be here one minute and die the next. Eddie made each moment count and he was a jack of all trades. he had great wrestling skills and he was like no other on the mic. Eddie was one of a kind. he was a dimond in the rough. I will miss Hearing that intro and seeing that low rider come on down. But like the WWE we have to move on as well. we are the fans and sitting here being all down is not the way to go. just like the superstars we have to pull it together and be the fans that talk it up in a positive way and bring some joy back even when someone has passed.
Hell I will start the moving on, today SD vs RAW 2006 hits stores. since my class got cancelled today I ma heading out to get it. I think many of you, like me will pick eddie for season mode and make him the champ out of respect.

Sounds like a good idea.
I'm watching the last SmackDown! with Eddie on now. I recorded it because i didnt have the chance to watch it. It's sad seeing Eddie there, i can't believe that hes gone. He does look a bit pale though, maybe im just seeing things?
R.I.P. Eddie.

very nice DuMa_RyoHahn. And since you were man enough to admit it, I guess I should too in that I shed some tears along with the wresters giving their testimonials. We may move on, but we will never forget a great like Eddie.

heh I was planning on getting the game today as well. Assuming they have it in stock.

I'm watching the RAW tribute now, and I've cried quite a few times. It's really great how they put on such a PPV quality show all for Eddie, and they picked the perfect clips to intersplice through it. Eddie Guerrero meant a lot to each of us, he was a wonderful performer, and he changed my mind about ECW in 1995 when I saw his farewell match with Dean Malenko, as at the time I had only heard ECW was just a promotion filled with violence, and no heart. Eddie showed me they had a heart, and so did he. Thank you Eddie, without you, I would have missed out on one of the greatest promotions ever.

If someone could find out if WWE still has that web link for fans to write in available, I'm suggesting we start a write in campaign to have Eddie inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, along with Owen Hart. I think that's the best tribute we can pay to a man who gave and sacrificed so much, just for our entertainment.

My cousin mentioned that. I think it would be a great idea, and would keep him in everyone's mind and give him the respect he deserves.

on a side note, for anyone who is getting the new game today. don't go to the big name stores (toys r us, KB,) cause everyone and their mother is going their today. you would be better off going to some off hand corner game store that no one goes to. odds are they will have it.that is what I did and I am playing it now
and randy orton does a better RKO

That sucks. I understand that it is a special tribute for Eddie. But as I said before, the show needs to go on. Like it or not, Chavo is not the main event type of wrestler. I stronly dount that the match between Chavo and JBL will have the SD! main event level. In addition, all the wrestlers are sad, yet they still performed or will perform. Why does Batista have the right to skip it? As a great wrestler, Eddie must be thinking that the show has to continue in heaven, and I am pretty sure that he does not want the world heavyweight championship match to be cancalled. The conclusion is: SD! needs a better main event thhan Chavo vs JBL although the episode is for Eddie.

The autopsy results came in and are on the main site, now. It was heart failure. Part drugs, part stress. They didn't have a clue that he was ill, they all thought he was just "road tired."

You know, I just want to say really quick that people who are pushing to "move on" should really quit it. If people want to continue to be sad about Eddie (especially since there's still one tribute show left) then that is they're right. Pushing them to just "get over it" is insensitive. Eddie was a special performer who touched a lot of lives, his life should be celebrated and remembered, it shouldn't just be swept under the rug because "there's more important shit in the fictive world of wrestling" to get back to.

I agree. Especially after learning of just how it all happened. Has anyone found the place to write to?

As far as the video game is concerned:

Outlaw88 reviews
Smackdown vs Raw 2006

well I figured somebody had to do it.

Though I have yet to exprience everythig the game has to offer since I have only had it a few hours, I can tell that the graphics, voice acting and enterances are top notch. However there are a few things that bug me. For one is the roster that they have included in it. Some of the ones you would fully expect to be there are not, like Matt Hardy, while others who have been fired are in there as Spike and Hassan are in the game.

What aggravates me the most is the actual gameplay. They keep changing how you play from game to game, and in this one they have added a stamina stat, a confusing method of countering (like the previous game, but it flashes when to use it now at blinding speed) and instead of building up for a finisher like the last game, you have to deal with momentum. Even on easy mode the computer counters practically everything you throw at it. It will take a lot of practice to get good at this game, and even then it's going to be hard as hell to do the challenges.Yes the challenge mode is back, but at least this time you can use two players, so you can get what you want easier, but the money reward won't be as high.

A few new feature that was adde: GM mode. Lets you book a season of raw or SD and you attempt to raise the ratings. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds cool.
another cool thing that is in it is the fact that you can now challenge for a title in exabition (I can't spell :p )though you can't challenge for the heavyweight or wwe titles until you unlock them. the Million $ title and Hardcore title are also in teh game but have to be unlocked first. There is an ECW arena to unlock too.

so until you get used to how the game works it is going to be frustrating to play. Oh yeah one more thing. The loading time sucks, as well as the music that is played when you are on the menus.

but overall a good game despite the negatives i wrote. Some of it comes from having to get used to new controls and features so you should try it for yourself. If you guys want to add to the review feel free to do so.

What I was saying was that Batista should wrestle. Although I do not like Cena, at least he wrestled as the WWE champion. Eddie's death was devasting, but it should not be an excuse for a wrestler not to wrestle. In addition, the fans brought the tickets before Eddie passed away. So they came to SD! to watch a world heavyweight championship match. What I think is that their money needs to be paid off. We all know that Chavo vs JBL will not be a main event quality match. At least, I would not be happy to see it as a main event once I paid. I do not care what you guys think, I just think that it is very stupid for SD! t cancel the tittle match just because of Eddie. I am not speakig for Randy Orton although he is my favourite second generation superstar. Even if Batista has to wrestle JBL, Benoit or Mr.Kennedy for the tittle, I would still call for the match.

I just can't get over it. I was watching the new on Sunday night and it said Professional Qrestler Dead, I thought irt would be someone older like a hall of fame or something and then eddie's face shows oup. I cried for about 15 minutes and I am not usually one to cry but he was one of my favorites. i met him once and he signed everything i threw at him, he couldnt have been nicer. My dad is a big fan as well and he got a lil touchy. My gramps grams and uncle are as well, my mom even though not a big fan knew him as i talked wrestling alot and she srated to cry. I think eddie touched alot of people and was a great performer. he will be missed.

I hated how on the old one you couldn't let your created wrestlers hold titles while you played season with another. In fact, it just reset every time you wanted to play as someone different. Oh, does it have the tag team titles in this one?

I tell you what Duke, you go have a close friend die, and then try and go out there and perform the very same fucking day. You see if you want to do that. Nobody was mandated to wrestle, it was all about comfort, not to mention Batista is INJURED, he's hurt, and I think far more people would have found it inappropriate for WWE to have put on a title match, two guys fighting over something that they, well, let's be fucking frank: They have it made up in a warehouse I'm sure, and write those belts off as a damn business expense. The belt is nowhere near as important as a man's life, and if Batista chose not to wrestle, then I am fine with it, and I think the fans understand as well. I think it's great that the guys who wrestled wrestled, that they chose to honor Eddie that way, but we all deal with grief differently, and I think if I was in Batista's shoes, I would have done the same thing. I don't think he deserves the scorn you're heaping on him, I think it's totally insensitive, and that you really need to evaluate what is really important, it's a week off from regular programming, to reflect, and remember a special performer, we'll be right back to the fictive matches with title changes that are more about marketing and politics, then talent or merit, next week.

I'm not too sure about how the season will go as I just started. And this is just me, but I like to go through the game using a regular wrestler first to get the hang of it and get a few secrets unlocked. Then I make the CAW (Create-a-wrestler).

Yes the tag belts for both brands are indeed in the game as well as the cruiserweight belt, IC, US, and womens belt. These are the ones you start off with as well as the main titles. As I said before, you can use and compete with for the Million $ title and Hardcore title only after you unlock them.

I have been trying the GM mode and I have to tell you it's pretty fun. Harder than I thought it would be, but fun.
