I think the time to have done midget wrestling was maybe 94 or 95 when they were using Doink and Dink a lot, and Dink was over pretty big, and they had guys like Max Mini around. Plus, there were no real issues with political correctness and standards and practices, not to mention I trusted THAT booking structure to treat them right. Today? I think they'll be a comedic division getting ridicule and adding nothing of value, and just another lame attempt to "grab ratings by pissing off the general public, and appealing to the lowest common denominator"

Ok, now I recognize Bently, I was more familiar with his other name of Michael Shane, and I remembered when they demanded it be changed.

I liked the mock funeral segment, it went over pretty well, and made AMW total scumbag heels, I see them taking the Naturals next week, so that they can have that dream match with The Dud....er, Team 3D (wouldn't want to get sued now would I?) be a title match on top of it. They are looking at Bound for Glory as their Wrestlemania.

I think that about covers everything I wanted to respond to. Oh, one other thing, I actually like Batista as champ, I also have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a person after an interview he just gave about his career so far, as he did not toe the company line, and said he still believes there are performers on both rosters which are lazy and not earning their spot, and that Lashley is being pushed way too fast. I give a lot of credit to a man in his position for going out and speaking his mind when it is politically damaging to do so. I also like his character, and the way he's been booked as a very dominant, and yet smart champion. Here's a guy that to me is a guy who the sky is the limit, and he will be very useful in the future. Whereas Cena reminds me of The Rock in that I feel he's all sizzle with no steak, Batista is definitely the steak, and building his sizzle. The inevitable feud with Orton will I think bear that point out. I always said Batista had real limitless potential, and he's proving it now.

I liked seeing the Mock Funeral thing for the insight into the characters, but I thought it went a little too long for how silly the whole thing was.

I liked it too very funny. Team Canada with hockey sticks. lol sterotype. I knew Tenay was going to say omfg how shameful you better not hope team 3d sees this.

I thought it was Slamaverisry(sp) in June. Next month it will seem like that ppv is there wm they push the hell out of the ppv everytime with commericals, the announcers, promos and everything.

LK has posed the SD review for a while, and really I think I would miss it if he suddenly stopped.

Holy cow! I live in campus and the TV cable for TNA is not available at Duke. Grrrrr...looks like that I will say goodbye to wrestling for a while until the Orton, Batista match.

My only real problem with TNA is that the guys don't really have any good mic talent

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-16 21:28:14

Well, thank you LordKooler for the review on TNA. I unfortunately fell asleep two hours before it began. But I did catch the match with AJ Styles. Decent, but it could have been better. Anyways, does anyone watch A.M. RAW? Cuz I keep missing it. It would be helpful to know what it's all about.

sorry for the double post but:

Kid Kash made his offical Velocity debut defeating Funaki. You can see the video of it at wwe.com. Kash had been doing dark matches for a while and had been signed for a while as well I belive. Good that they decided he was worth keeping and now on tv.. well.. internet show. Man, I really hope this is a sign that they will start using the cruiserweight division to it's full potential. Hell even using it at half that would be a huge increase for Smackdown and WWE as a whole.

I like to watch wrestling sometimes (WWE) but I dont like the Divas and all that stuff, these girls are jsut there to be theated like objects, they wear only underwears and they all look stupid, they act stupid. But I do like Lita, shes really nice I think, oh, by the way, is she still supposed to be with Kane?

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-17 01:41:36

No. She abandoned him for Edge a long time ago.

But if Lita betrayed Matt Hardy for Edge... then how did she also betray Kane for Edge at the same time?

I think we're basically supposed to forget the Kane part, since that was just a storyline that wasn't going to make money. Of course, Edge/Hardy didn't really draw money the way it should have...retarded company.

Dude, you are so old school. Just like other divas, Lita is a whore. She is with Edge right now, but I bet that she will switch her boyfriend again some time later. After watching the girls show how slutty they can be for several months. I really found out that my favourite second superstar Randy Orton did a damn right thing by RKOing Stacy which turned him to a heel.

Most them are quite good at their sport, however. Espially Trish Stratus. But you are right, they are turning into icons. Whatever happened to the good ol' days of Fabulous Moohlah and the like? What sign should I bring to a pay-per-view? I'm going to one, and don't know what to bring. I might bring a " My Cat Buried Orton"sign or soemthing like that...

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-17 18:14:55

if you wanted to piss a few people off put down "I'd rather be at TNA" or something similar.

the original mankind theme of the car crash one?

I still like HBK's theme soley on the fact that one of my friends started to dance all crazy to it while he was drunk. Everytime I hear the song I think about that.

Rob Conway has a fun little theme song. Hulk Hogan's song is probably my favorite. Big Show has a better song for himself than anyone else does for themselves. I also love listening to Eugene's music. Tajiri's is pretty badass, too.

So, Big Show, HBK, and Kane are now eligible to be voted for who the third man in the Three-Way match is, with John Cena and Kurt Angle both already scheduled for the match. I, personally, will vote for the Big Show.

Big Show and HBK had already defeated Edge and Carlito respectively to become eligible for this vote, while Kane won an 18-man Battle Royal. Also scheduled for Taboo Tuesday is Stone Cold vs. Jonathan Coachman (Coach is a prick) and Carlito vs Mick Foley. I look forward to seeing what stipulations we can all vote on.

I have no strong opinion either way or the wrestling on raw tonight. it didn't suck, nor was it uber awsome. my only problemwith raw? the announce team. let's face it that sucked ass. JR was the voice people wanted to hear. Plus the coach doing JR bits was sad. i mean Iknow this is all storylined and such but damn I am going to have to mute raw from now on. Oh yeah, my other problem is the whole edge thing. Look we all know SD sucks ass and the fact that the writters want to merge a SD raw Fued is gay. SD is going downhill cause they are worse then Raw. Well that is just me. feel free to chime in with me and we get this ball rolling.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-18 00:15:18

SD is really rebuilding themselves at this point I think, Batista is a better champ then Cena, and has a better opponent waiting for him down the line in Randy Orton...who the fuck is Cena gonna fight post-Angle? The H? Yep, that'll draw some fucking dollar signs...

I think SD has potential to really break out and actually lead the WWE into the future, I'm just not confident the writing staff and the Mcmahons will let it do so.

Wondering who would get the chance to face Cena at Taboo Tuesday, I still watched tonight's RAW. Glad to see that Angel is in already and he will take the damn belt from Cena. Because of the poll, HBK will probably get the last place for the triple-threat match. But I personally hope that Kane can get in. Anyway, as Angel is in, there is no way that Cena can walk away as the champ this time. ;)

Oh, did anyone catch this?:

Coach: "GORE! GORE! GORE!"

King: "That's a Spear, Coach."

Coach: "Oh. SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR!"

Great announcer, huh? What a fool.

The 18-man match should have gone longer than it did. RAW is a much better show than SD, but RAW has this ridiculous tendency to put potentially awesome matches and squeeze them into the last few minutes of the show.

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-18 11:11:14

HeavenDuff you are # 150

heh I caught that too. Coach is ok, but he's still far from ready to being a lead announcer.

In all this confusion with Flair and H, what will become of the IC title?

I agree with aview on that SD has loads of potential, as they have plenty of talented workers and a better champ. WWE just needs to get themselves in gear.

I've always enjoyed Edge's theme, the old one was better though. But I'd go with Hogans theme, so Patriotic and powering.

So, Big Show, HBK, and Kane are now eligible to be voted for who the third man in the Three-Way match is, with John Cena and Kurt Angle both already scheduled for the match. I, personally, will vote for the Big Show.

I'll go by my interpritations of the match(s):

Cena/Angle/HBK: Victor would be Cena. Sure HBK has the crowd behind him for some but Cena has been on a role for a long time now. Angle would loose hands down. If they made it where he got the gold Raw would be in an even lower state than now.

Cena/Angle/Big Show: Victor could be either Show or Cena here. You have Shows size as a big factor not to mention he's never held the gold and that would be a cool thing. But I think the way it goes now, Cena would most likely win in the end because he is somewhat holding the show.

Cena/Angle/Kane: Victor could be anyone here. I'd go with Kane. Him coming back at the turn of the tide, they might set it up where he wins the gold. Not to mention seeing how it's 2:1 heel it could be one of those two winning over Cena.

Show should've held the gold years ago IMO. Edge has his contract stating a match at anytime so he didn't win for obvious reasons. Besides, why hasn't he taken Cena on already seeing how he has his 'money in the bank'. Probably more-so he'll go after the World Champ after Taboo Tuesday.

Some how I KNOW that Coach is going to win. I guarantee it will be a no disqualifications match and Austin will be under Vince's heel in the end. With Foley and Carlitio, oh, it shall be an interesting match up.

So, anyone else still disgusted about J.R. being fired and humiliated besides me?

Can't wait to watch "The Texas Rattlesnake" beat the living hell out of Coach for J.R's job! We all know he's going to win. I also prefer Cena's variosu entrance musics, because they are SOOOOOOOOO badass. :)

Response to The Wrestling (WWE) Club 2005-10-18 14:55:52

I still think that Cena will lose his belt at Taboo Tuesday. After all, he has been the champ for too long time. I don't like Stone Cold, but he will defeat Coach who sucks at wrestling so that JR can come back. By the way, Mick Foley will beat Carlito up because Carlito's face showed me that he needed a good beat up. The HHH-Ric Flair match is a hard call, but I will buy Ric here since he has not been the Int. Champ for long.

Is the Flair v HHH even a Chamionship Match? I thought it was a non-title match, just for personal reasons.
