Candido was one of ECW's early shining stars, and he had really worked hard to overcome his drug problems, and get back on track in the business...words cannot express how deeply unfair, and tragic I find his passing. My condolences to his friends and family, he will be missed.

Why put him as post electocuted golddust. Hes going nowhere with this
JBL winning is no big surprise, I'm just counting the minutes until he and Cena finish up their business, and both move on to better opponents.
I expect jbl to win. I glad now Angle wont loser to Cena.
RVD says he'll be at One Night Stand, he put out the word "back" considering that this is RVD, I would not be surprised to see him trying to get in there and work, hell, if he hurts himself, it's not like they were going to use him anyway.
Ha RVD will put on a good show for Hardcore Homecoming.
Wow Chris Candido death was truely untimely. From an ankle injury for a civlian piont of view it doesnt seem possible, but from a medical pov it can anyways. He was a great heel in tna he mostly teamed up with naturals as in the manger. or some otherthing with Jarrett.
Oh a lighter side. Please give the title to AJ damnit Jarrett had it way to long.

The word going around right now is that there will be little to no promotion by WWE on their programming (including RAW and SmackDown!) to the ECW "One Night Stand" pay-per view, at least within the context of on-air storylines leading into the PPV. The plan is to have it pretty much stand alone as its' own brand, and not promote it based on angles on WWE television. WWE basically wants ECW fans to find it and buy it the same way they did with the DVD, which was a huge success.
The current plan is for the PPV to be an "ECW" style show, with hardcore wrestling, extreme women spots, and great technical wrestling. As of right now, WWE wants a very pure ECW feel for the show. There has been talk that it will be produced ECW style, meaning a lot less of the glits and glamor of WWE production and fewer camera-angles during the matches. The goal right now is for WWE to "stay true to what the brand was."
WWE is making attempts at getting Joey Styles to do the announcing for the PPV. We have yet to hear anything official on where those negotiations stand right now, but if they want to "stay true to the brand," then Joey Styles in the broadcasting booth is necessary.
Someone who is expected to show up at the PPV is Mick Foley. Sources close to the situation claim that Vince McMahon would like Foley to work as Cactus Jack and wrestle a "Cactus Jack style match." Foley is apparently against the idea, as seemingly through getting older he's realized his body can't take the kind of abuse he put it through early on and would like to do more comedic promo style work than hardcore style matches that will damage his body. A classic ECW style Mick Foley promo definitely works. Those were a big stand out when he was in the company originally.
Tommy Dreamer has been the main point man for the show, with a great deal of input from Paul Heyman. Obviously, Vince McMahon has all final say on the process, and John Laurinaitis and Jim Ross are both involved as well.

I hear Mic is asking for complete creative control if he comes in, and is actually maybe looking for a full-time return, however, we all know Vince, and he is said to be unwilling to do this at this time.
I'm also hearing from PWInsider they want One Night Stand to be shot like an ECW show, meaning fewer cameras and angles (I think we only ever got about two cameras used in ECW, and even less if a match was being broadcast from a "fan cam" the angles would also sometimes either be great because they portrayed the action as coming right into your living room, or shite because you couldn't see anything as they'd miss a shots in crowd brawls and such, or if there was a run-in or something happening off-stage at times). I say just hire Ron Buffone, Charlie Bruzzese, and the rest of the production crew back for this show, since they've already hired back the officials. There's no better way to be authentic and then to have them there.
Also, Paul Heyman is the major creative man on this show, as is Dreamer, it's looking great folks, and I fully anticipate (and would hope) that a tribute to Chris Candido will also be done on the show, as he is a former World Tag Champ with Lance Storm, a member of The Triple Threat, and actually wrestled on the first ever ECW show.
I hope to get to the FBI tommorow, since I shouldn't have anything going on then (it's just been a crazy week guys, I really have been meaning to get to them, it's just that things haven't lined up enough to do it), also, if there are any other general ECW questions, such as production, what's the triple threat, or anything like that, just ask and I'll try to get the answers for you, I know some people asked some pretty good, very general questions about the style and the product the last time we did "Hardcore Q & A" which I also hope to be getting back to this week now that things are settling down.
Tna impact Review. A graphic was shown of Chris Candido holding the gold at the very beginning and end.
Singles Match
Petey Willams vs. Shocker Winner Shocker by blocked sharpshooter. A great X-division match to start out Impact. Shocker is getting a push since he the #1 contender, but there were some Petey chants in the crowd. After a while Petey sets up for Canadian destroyer but its blocked he sets up sharpshooter but Shocker gets to the ropes. Petey tries again but Shocker blocks it. And pins Petey for the win.
Singles Match
Sonjay Dutt vs. Buck Q. Winner Sonjay by hurracarana. Well the start of the match Buck would have some offense do to his size over Sonjay. Near the end of the match Sonjay jumps from the tope rope does half a flip and catches Buck into a hurracarana to get the win.
Singles Match
Mikey Batts vs. The Outlaw Winner Outlaw by unknown. It was another X-division vs. heavy weight. Batts barely had any offense in the start of the match. After while Outlaw dominated the match. I didn’t see the move he won by some choke followed by a slam ( was taking notes for this)
> DOA Dusty Rhode announces Hard Justice next ppv for May 15th. It’s going to feature a 20- man gauntlet for #1 contender. Special guest ref for Styles Jarrett match will be Tito Ortiz.
>Jarrett immediately comes out and slaps West and Tenay around and gets on the announcers table and says I beat them all Aj Styles doesn’t have a chance and other bullshit.
Tag Team Championship Match
Naturals w/ Candido vs. AMW Winner Naturals by read on. The match would start out in the ring for maybe less than two minutes before amw went crazy outside the ring brawling and stuff. At that point of the match Naturals had no offense. After the break The naturals gained control of the match by cutting the offense of amw by using more submission moves. Naturals even hit Harris with crutch only to get a 2 fall. During the break the naturals would keep Harris from matching the tag. Near the end (at this point I lost tract of names sorry) Naturals* would distract the ref by bringing in the tag belt while this was happening I think Douglas hits amw* with chair. Everyone was knocked down but then Candido would get into the ring and get the help the Naturals for the win. Mike Tenay gets angry and does a post match interview complaining Amw gets a rematch. [asterisk=one person not the team]

awsome review! I wish I had seen it.
I saw Velocity for the first tme last night. Not too bad actually. Only had three matches, but I wasn't expecting any more than that.
PPV tonight. And oddly enough there hasn't been too many predictions.

It sounded to me like Backlash was a good, if unremarkable show, nothing major to piss me off, but nothing major to give me hope either.
FBI is probably a no go tonight as well, got held at work late, and came home with a bunch of things on my plate, so I think by the time I get free, I'm going to wind up only having time to half ass it, and honestly, I don't want to half ass anything I do around here, because you guys have always been very courteous, and supportive of these bios, so you deserve my absolute best attempt. Sorry for the lateness
you were a little unclear on who won the tag titles, so I went and double checked and Rosey and Hurricane are the new tag champs. I kinda figured regal and tajiri would lose since they have had talks of sending tajiri to SD.

Add The Original Gangsta New Jack to the list of guys working the ECW One Night Stand PPV as Jack himself has confirmed he'll be there, early ticket information has also been released. It just gets better and better all the time.
Did you guys see that segment between lita and Edge? WWE must be trying to recover from their heat.

He still works pretty regularly on the independents, Danny Doring mentioned in a recent radio interview that he's hoping the two ECW reunion shows, One Night Stand, and Hardcore Homecoming will give them a chance to team up again, as they haven't really teamed since the demise of ECW. Which is very sad to me, as they trained together at the House of Hardcore, and were always very very close friends from all I'd heard.

wow i sure haven't been here i while. I'm going to do my question of a week after i ask a question i'd really like to know the answer to.
On the WWE website. Why are Stone Cold and The Rock on Raw's roster? didn't stop wrestling? I was sure ROck did...
ok my REAL question of the week:
Who currently has the worse gimmick?
RAW:
A. Rosey/Hurricane
B. Chris Masters
C. Simon Dean ( won't last long lol )
D. Muhammad Hassan
SMACKDOWN:
A. John Cena
B. JBL
C. Carlito
D. Undertaker
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For RAW I choose Hurricane/Rosie, at first I found it funny, but hearing the same jokes Is boring. Using that super hero gimmicks isn't really making either of them go to the top.
SMACKDOWN is JBL. What they hell happened to this guy. Farooq need to come back, beat some since into him, and become beer buddies again. lol.
Those guys aren't going to the top anyway, if portrayed by better writers, they could probably get a bit more mileage out of the gimmick. My personal opinion is Hassan has the worst in terms of the offensive nature of it, but Chris Masters easily has the most fucking boring. Just find the fuck that's gonna break his masterlock already, and let's be done with it.
SMACKDOWN is JBL. What they hell happened to this guy. Farooq need to come back, beat some since into him, and become beer buddies again. lol.
I actually think JBL has really grown into his gimmick after a rather rocky start, I don't believe he should be headlining Judgement Day with Cena (as both need to move on to opponents who are either going to make them look good, or in the case of Cena, improve their work), I think the worst gimmick on SD! right now is a toss up between Heidenreich's wacky poetry, and Matt Morgan's stuttering monster character. God, creative is so stupid, I can't wait till they debut the girl who's whole character is that she has an ugly mole on her face...yes...that will actually be her whole gimmick, a mole on her face.
Nova. Simon dean is a disgrace to himself.
I would say Cena. Carilto has a great gimmick. And Undertaker in my opinion has the greatest gimmick.
Considering it's The Undertaker character, more then Mark Callaway and his abilities, that have been making him a top attraction for the last 15 years or so, I have to agree that he probably has one of, if not the greatest, gimmicks in the history of wrestling.
I would have to agree. Undertaker I beileve does have one of the best character and personalities of all wwf/wwe.
I'm just sick of seeing simon Dean.. Nova was a much better character.
Taker has stood the test of time. Best long lasting gimmick ever.
i meant currently, for the undertaker. To me he's boring. All his plots since the return of the gimmick, wasn't all that great. I like it about 5 years ago..
LordKooler's Smackdown review
1.Rey mysterio segment
Rey mysterio comes out and talks about eddie not helping him and letting him get beat up by MNM last week. Then eddie comes out to chants of "Eddie Sucks!" Rey tells eddie to say something to him but eddie says he has nothing to say. I don't feel like saying what happend in the end.
2.Matt Morgan vs Jobber
I hate the new gimmick they gave Matt morgan. They make him stutter when he says something. Matt morgan's matches against jobbers are like the kind of matches you see on Velocity. Morgan made quick work of the jobber at the end.
3.Orlando jordan vs Booker T
A good non-title match. Booker T won at the end.
4.MNM vs Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon moore
A decent tag team match. After MNM won, Rey mysterio attacked them at the end to get revenge on MNM for attacking him last week.
5.JBL segment
JBL says his usual stuff like saying he's a wrestling god. Then John cena comes out to shut him up.
6.Kurt angle invitational
Kurt angle comes out without the security guards holding his gold medal. After kurt angle defeated the jobber. Kurt angle calls out Booker t and both fight for awhile until Booker T's wife sharnell gets an injured ankle.
7.Carlito vs hardcore holly
Carlito's first match in months was good. Carlito won at the end.
8.Rey mysterio vs Chavo guerrero
A good street fight match to end Smackdown. After rey mysterio won, MNM attacked mysterio until eddie guerrero saved him. But eddie started attacking mysterio.
You didn't mention Eddie's suplex on Rey? That was one of the sickest things I've ever seen!!! Eddie got Rey up for a vertical suplex, and dumped him across the bottom steel stairs. It was just sick because I mean he just DROPPED Rey's back across it, totally unprotected, I mean that arena was just stunned to see it I think.
heh all riiight
damn, that suplex was nasty. It was oddly quiet after too..
sorry for the double post but:
Gangrel has signed a WWE deal and is working in OVW right now and plans to return shortly. We're told he's been signed for quite some time and was rehabbing from an injury.
Steven Richards is also in OVW training for a return after suffering a broken nose from Chris Masters several weeks back.
The Blue Meanie announced Friday that he plans to work WWE's ECW "One Night Stand" PPV on 6/12. The show is to emanate from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY.
With Blue Meanie working the show, there exists a strong possibility for a Blue World Order reunion with Meanie, Steven Richards and Simon Dean. Nothing, however, has been confirmed.
-- Although no sources within WWE will neither confirm nor deny it, there is the possibility of a last second "ECW invasion" on RAW before WWE's ECW One Night Stand PPV takes place. Without major promotion for the PPV on a WWE TV show, they may not get as many buys as they are hoping for.
