WHAM BAM BOOM! This match was off the hook and off the charts! These two were moving so fast, it was hard to keep up! Cool moves, fast moves, power moves, smooth moves, these two put on quite a show and in the end Eddie Guerrero was crowned the new WWE Champion.

I was suspecting Angle would block every punch hit perfest belly to bellly and german suplexs. Well we have to stay tuned for judgment day 06.

Just a variety of notes on One Night Stand:

There were some meetings this week at WWE headquarters in Connecticut to discuss the ECW One Night Stand PPV scheduled for 6/12 in New York City. WWE is said to want to find a balance between talent that can still go and put on the type of matches that the ECW audience is going to expect and talents who are older or beaten down physically and can't go like they used to, but will still get a big reaction as long as they are booked properly and not exposed. Sources have told me that WWE doesn't want the show to come off like a night of nostalgia, but something that can stand on it its own as if the PPV does well, they would like to possibly do more shows down the line, including possible house show tours in old ECW markets. The feeling is that the ECW DVD sales basically paved the way for the PPV, so if the PPV does well, the company is open to doing more with the name down the line.

For those of you who have asked about commentary on the show, sources indicate that WWE has yet to come to an agreement with Joey Styles at this time, although there have been conversations. If Styles doesn't come on board, names that have been tossed around about doing commentary have included Tazz, Paul Heyman, and Terry Funk.

It appears there may be something of an FBI "family" reunion on the show as Nunzio/Little Guido, JT Smith, Tony Mamaluke, Tracy Smothers, Big Sal E. Graziano, and Primo Carnera III (who worked as Big Guido in ECW and has been down in Ohio Valley Wrestling of late) are all scheduled to appear.

Ashley Colton sent word that when she called the WWE offices in Stamford, CT asking about when tickets for the ECW PPV would go on sale, she was told they would go on sale the weekend of 5/14 but that prices hadn't been determined. PWInsider.com hasn't independently confirmed that on sale date but we did hear it would go on sale in mid-May earlier in the week.

Also, a disgruntled Kid Kash fan has started up a petition to get him on One Night Stand, it currently has over 1900 signatures, will be at least starting on Mikey Whipwreck tonight, think I'm going to wind up not having a column done for my site come monday since I have serious homework to do that I'm pretty much gonna shirk tonight it looks like. So yeah, might as well accomplish something I've been meaning to do.

Yeah, my feeling is that the show is really going to exceed their expectations, and I think it could be possible (so long as the right people are in charge creatively) to continue to run as ECW as a seperate brand, the brand-extension was a good idea, but I think the fact that RAW and SD! are still ultimately under the WWE umbrella makes it impossible to suspend the disbelief that they compete. A carefully constructed story as to why ECW would be an independent entity, and careful signing of the people that made ECW famous, and can help groom new stars, could work. The only downside I see is that they'd have to allow the talent to work the sort of aggressive style that can create injuries, that they've been trying to get away from for a couple of years now.

Yeah, Regal has come up the hard way in this business, and worked many many places, and battled addiction as well, it'll definitely be interesting to hear his thoughts.

They need to trade him in the draft I believe, and then they really need to push him, Val is a great wrestler, with experience, and marketibility, on a show like RAW which is loaded with superstars, he's lost in the shuffle, this is one of the big reasons why I think they should be splitting the big names between the two shows better, so that talented people don't get stuck on B-shows no one watches when they can be contributing much more.

Edge is trying to incorporate it into his character, the people who should be worried about the chants are management, as it's possible when they finally put the belt on Edge, attendance and ratings, already sagging, could drop off even more in retaliation.

-- WWE is now realizing that the firing of Matt Hardy has generated a backlash much larger than they expected. Edge faced massive chants of "You screwed Matt" and "We want Matt" during his match on RAW this week. After this happened, WWE management realized that there was no way they could bring Lita out to the ring without the same thing happening. So instead, they decided to interview her backstage, but the boos were immediate and intense then as soon as her image showed up on the screen, which certainly did not make WWE management happy. The main feeling in WWE right now is that they have created a monster by firing Mat Hardy, and that monster will be very hard to keep quiet.

I say just turn Lita heel at the first oppurtune moment, and let the fans have what they want at least insofar as that goes. This really does serve the WWE right though for totally botching this situation.

1.Carlito's cabana
Carlito starts off Smackdown by saying that people from England aren't cool. Then he intoduces his guest for Carlito's cabana, Kurt angle. Angle talks about the #1 contender fatal four way match and also says that nothing is great about Great britain. Then a British wrestler comes out and says that no one insults his country and wants to face kurt angle in his invitational. At the end, Angle attacks the british wrestler.
2.Paul London vs Chavo guerrero
A good cruiserweight match. Torrie wilson was the ring announcer for the match. After Chavo won by countout. He held up the cruiserweight title thinking that he won it. Then Torrie says that the cruiserweight title can change hands via pinfall or submission.
3.Eddie guerrero & Rey mysterio vs MNM
I thought Eddie turned against rey last week after they lost the tag team titles. But in this match, After Eddie attempted to walk out but returned to the ring. But he let rey get beat up by MNM and it looked like eddie guerrero didn't want to get tagged. At the end, MNM continued their assult on Rey. And eddie didn't help his partner. Looks like eddie turned heel.
4.Matt Morgan vs Jobber
Like last week Matt morgan wrestles a jobber. But before the match, He had a hard time saying something because he stutters. Matt morgan won at the end.
5.Rene dupree vs John cena
Before the match, Rene dupree talks trash about the U.K until WWE champion John cena came out to shut him up. Cena won at the end.
6.#1 Contender fatal four way match
JBL won at the end after Booker T hit kurt angle with a steel chair to get revenge on kurt for eliminating him then one of the Bashams put the referee back in the ring to count the pinfall that resulted in JBL's victory.

The thing that's shit about Morgan, is that I've heard in his time in OVW, he's actually learned how to cut a great promo, and that's his strongest skill...so of course they take that away from him. How the fuck is anyone supposed to get over that way?

JBL winning is no big surprise, I'm just counting the minutes until he and Cena finish up their business, and both move on to better opponents.

RVD says he'll be at One Night Stand, he put out the word "back" considering that this is RVD, I would not be surprised to see him trying to get in there and work, hell, if he hurts himself, it's not like they were going to use him anyway.
