The Dudleys were not scheduled for Guilty as Charged, but in typical fashion for them, crashed the party simply because who the hell was going to tell them no? It was typical Dudley Boys, they didn't care what anyone thought, not the fans, not officials, not state athletic commissions, everyone consequently, HATED The Dudley Boys. Hell, if the fans even TRIED to get behind the Dudleys, Buh Buh would tell them to shut up they didn't need their applause or approval, they were consummate heels. These guys would start RIOTS, fans would leap the rails to get a piece of them. I remember going to a show locally they appeared on in April of 99, and the first thing out of Buh Buh's mouth was that the town was full of whores, they continued to insult the crowd for about five minutes as security was trying to hold back fans who were cursing, screaming, and attempting to get at the Dudleys (which wasn't hard, the show was in a converted barn, and security really weren't too eager to get out there among us).

The Dudleys walked out (with their entourage, Big Dick, rest in peace big man, Joel Gertner, and Sign Guy Dudley) and issued an open challenge, after about 10 minutes of talking, in which Joel Gertner did his typical pervert schtick, and an introduction of The Dudleys, which I reprint here because I think it's just so damn good: "First at my left, he hails from the South Side of Dudleyville. Keeping it real in the '99, weighing in at a slim, trim, lean, mean, scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, topped, peppered, and jakked! My personal Diatition, D-Von Dudley! And his partner, he hails from Metropolitan Dudleyville, he is every Floridians favorite wrestler, every American's wrestling role model, and every professional wrestlers worst nightmare, this is Buh Buh Ray Dudley!". What they got for their challenge was a violent brawl with their brother Little Spike, and New Jack. In an absolute war of a Dudleyville street fight, with one of the highlights being Buh Buh throwing Little Spike into the crowd, and he was then body surfed back over the guardrail, back towards the ring, and then Buh Buh through him back into the crowd again! Which, quite frankly, is quintessential ECW Buh Buh, the guy was a goddamn sicko, D-Von was too, but Buh Buh was worse. Another hightlight was a 3D on New Jack on the unforgiving ramp, I swear to God they're lucky they didn't kill him, but that's the history of 3D, it was 3D that broke up the Gangstas, broke up the Eliminators, it hospitalized The Sandman, it drove Beulah out of wrestling. The Dudleys prevailed, nailing Spike with 3D. After the match ended was worse though, The Dudleys then picked up Spike and New Jack, dragged them back into the ring, Buh Buh got a chair, and D-Von got a mic, Big Dick held New Jack while Buh Buh punched him. As D-Von recited the 3 rules of The Dudleys, Buh Buh raised the chair. D-Von: "Rule number 1: Thou Shalt not Steal" Buh Buh with a sickening chair shot that dropped Jack, D-Von: "Number 2: Thou Shalt not Kill" Buh Buh another shot, D-Von: "and commandment 3 you piece of garbage, Thou Shalt Not FUCK with The Dudleys" a last shot. D-Von then nailed a shot off the rope to Jack's face, and the Dudleys were led away, Joey Styles was screaming for the cops, or the riot squad, somebody, ANYBODY, to stop this beating The Dudleys were giving out.

After Guilty As Charged, Justin Credible and Lance Storm formed The Impact Players, they're first "Impact" was to get Sabu banned from wrestling by The New York State Athletic Commission, stooging off that Sabu had been working with a broken jaw. This now left only RVD able to defend the ECW Tag Team Championship, exactly what The Players wanted, they then approached The Dudleys, and then payed them off to go defeat RVD for the tag titles, then simply lay down for The Impact Players, so that they could win them. The Dudleys accepted, and faced off against RVD, in a handicap match. The Dudleys weren't fairing well as RVD went up for a Five-Star Frog Splash, but The Impact Players ran in to knock RVD off the ropes, The Dudleys then hit a top rope 3D to win thier sixth tag team title (4/17/99), and Sabu tried to run in, but Credible cut him off. As the chants of "Bullshit" ran out, The Dudleys celebrated, The Impact Players however would not be celebrating. See, The Dudleys decided that the tag titles were more important then the payoff, and therefore kept the belts, and screwed The Players.

From here, The Dudleys turned to The Hardcore Chair Swinging Freaks, and putting an end to them finally, after creating the innovation of the "Flaming Table" (they soaked a table in gasoline, lit it on fire, then powerbombed Balls through it!). In a match at I believe Hardcore Heaven '99, Balls and Axel were beaten, and forced to split up as a team. But The Dudleys plan backfired, as Balls partnered with their brother Spike, and at ECW's first national tv taping, on July 18th, and defeated The Dudleys. It was a violent affair as Buh Buh cut Spike with a cheese grater, and smeared Spike's blood all over his own face like war paint, then they put Spike through three tables that were on fire! The match never aired as it completely violated TNN's standards on violence, it was however released on DVD. On August 18th at a house show (which was filmed because of the Tag Title win), The Dudleys won the belts back when they 3D'd Spike Dudley, it was win number 7. It only lasted a day though as Spike and Balls won the belts back the next night. The Dudleys were now going to leave ECW, Buh Buh recounted the story on The Rise and Fall of ECW that The Dudleys never wanted to leave their home base, they simply asked Paul E, for ONE dollar more, but Paul was adamant that he could not compete with Vince, and refused to give The Dudleys the money, a stupid mistake in the view of well...everybody. The Dudleys took part in there last match in ECW on August 26th 1999, at the "House The Dudleys Built" The Madhouse of Extreme in Queens New York. The Dudleys defeated Balls and Spike for their 8th and final tag title win, and were then defeated minutes later by Raven, to begin Raven and Dreamers first title reign (previously covered in our look at Raven). The Dudleys gave an emotional speech after the show, and were gone from ECW. Or so we thought.

In December of 2000, ECW was in trouble, we all knew that as fans, The Dudleys came in for a show at The Madhouse of Extreme to try and keep the doors open, they didn't ask for a single penny for doing this. They did it as a favor to Paul Heyman, to ECW, and to the fans who made them stars. They worked a six-man with Tommy Dreamer as they're partner against Simon Diamond, Johnny Swinger, and C.W. Anderson. Highlights included Buh Buh using the Towel Boy (the kid who wiped the blood and sweat off the ropes between matches) as a projectile throwing him into the crowd at his opponents! Buh Buh then cutting C.W. with a Machete (yes, you read that right, a fucking machete) and then licking the damn thing clean! I am still unsure how this thing saw the light of day, The sick Dudleys had come back home. A Dudley Device was applied on Swinger midway through, and then the three was broken up by Dawn Marie rubbing the ref's face in her...um...breasts. The Dudleys then applied the "Wassup?" headbutt on Simon. Buh Buh then called for the tables. Then D-Von grabbed Dawn Marie from Joel Gertner, and Buh Buh Bubba bombed her through the table. 3D was then hit on Simon, and Dreamer made the cover for the win. They had returned triumphant. After the match, The Dudleys made a moving post-match speech, calling Paul Heyman out to ringside. They then talked about how they had stood in that very ring for the last time in ECW, Buh Buh then made a joke to a girl saying "Don't blow me a kiss, show me your tits". Buh Buh then said the Dudleys would not be the guys they are today without Paul Heyman, and the camera flashed to Paul E. who took a bow. They then pointed out how Paul and Tommy gave up their lives, as well as the wrestlers in the back gave up their lives for each and every ECW fan. Buh Buh then said that no matter what happens, The Dudleys had Paul's back, and if he ever needed help again, to just let them know. D-Von then grabbed the mic to Testify, he said working in the WWF was great, but the ECW fans were "fuckin' hardcore" Sandman then came out, and passed out beers, Buh Buh had Paul E. get in the ring. D-Von then said they were gonna testify Budweisher style, and they all drank a beer together.

The Dudley Boyz are arguably the greatest team in wrestling, they are undoubtedly the greatest ever in ECW. But one thing that is not open to debate, is that Mark Lominica (Bubba) and D-Von Hughes (D-Von) are two of the finest men to have ever stepped foot, in a wrestling ring. I thank you for reading this.

Being a WWE mark through the attitude era was being an ECW mark by proxy because Vince was so blatantly stealing from ECW in many cases, that if you liked an angle he was doing, you would have loved the original version as conceived by Paul E.

I haven't covered RVD with great detail, I've certainly talked a little bit about his ECW career, as RVD was a real mainstay, and in my mind, was sort of like The Rock of ECW in terms of popularity, but his work was far superior. I'll get my RVD DVD out, and some of the other materials I have on him. I think the reason these are getting better is that I've been digging much more into my tape and DVD collections of late to make sure I have my facts straight, and cover all the big events (though I did completely miss the two Triple Threat's clashing at November to Remember 99). I'm not sure if I'll get it done tonight, I have a column that's a bit late to get done, but if not tonight, it'll definitely be tommorow, keep the requests coming, as it's a lot better doing these knowing that I've got at least one person excited to see who I'm going to cover that particular day.

Yeah, I'd like to know more about RVD as well. He's a true wrestler if there ever was one.

And a smashing Dudley bio. Very nicely done. :) And it is kinda funny that they kept loosing the tag team titles, then re-gaining them in that fashon.

Once again, great bio Aview!
It is facinating to see how much the Dudleys have progressed in the wrestling industry.
I have been thinking, you shoudl do one on Sabu definately.
He was one of the peole that took ECW to the top.

Sabu is definitely on the list, we'll be talking about him a little bit when I get to RVD tommorow.

I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get to do a full blown bio on Tuesday, so in place of that, I thought as part of the overall hype for One Night Stand, I'd open up a Q & A type section where you guys could ask questions about anything in ECW, and I could try to answer them, or get the answers for you, we'll call it "Hardcore Q & A" or something like that.

As to Outlaws earlier question (been so sidetracked today I didn't get to it), I don't believe Rhino was a student at the House of Hardcore, only the four I mentioned were named, and I believe when they graduated, the school was shut down because it just wasn't cost effective really to be running it (mostly I'd think because almost all of the class took off).

That's on page 201, that's before I decided to trim them down to simply guys ECW tenures. So Raven is longer then the others because theres a bit of everything in there. It is worth posting though if you insist on collecting them, since I make references back to it because I don't like to take up space repeating myself, and repeating previously covered events when guys feuds intersect, or I'm looking at the other person in a long feud.

Yea, I wanted to see some carnage!
The best match was probably the 3man tag-team match.
A lot of action and finishers going on.
Everyone was getting everyone, even if they were on the same team lol.

I'll be using parts of RVD's One of a Kind DVD where relevant, here we go.

Rob Van Dam entered ECW after a short run with WCW. As RVD said, he was doing good, Bill Watts seemed to be behind him and what he could do, as a favor to a friend, Ron Slaker. But when the regime changed and Ole Anderson came into power, RVD found himself losing more, and do to where he was in his career, being young, decided that it would be better to take the small amount of exposure he'd gotten, and ply his trade on the independents for awhile. He entered ECW in 1996, he called his first match intimidated him, the crowd intimidated, the pressure to not fail intimidated him. The crowd in ECW was such that if he fucked this up, he was done, first impression was everything in ECW. He didn't have any hardcore moves yet, so he just used his martial arts, the things he knew how to do to impress, if you look at the tape of his win over Axel Rotten, the appreciation, and the raw ability of RVD ultimately won the crowd over.

RVD's first major matchup would be at Hardcore Heaven 96, June 22, in which he wrestled Sabu in a broken ring. Yeah, the match was delayed one hour as the ring completely broke, both guys were given the option of opting out of the match, the fans were offered refunds, both guys worked, and nobody took the refund. A stellar match in which Sabu took the lead, it was also appropriate for the two to tie up as Sabu had helped get RVD into ECW based off their longtime friendship. When RVD went to Sabu's Uncle, the Original Sheik for training, The Sheik put him in the ring with Sabu. RVD taught Sabu acrobatics, and Sabu taught RVD wrestling. RVD credits Sabu with teaching him also how to be respectful and gracious in wrestling, they wrestled many times in the independents, that friendship would be instrumental in RVD's ECW tenure.

Their feud was based on respect, Sabu was a very old-school wrestler, he believed in respecting an opponent, when RVD refused to shake Sabu's hand after their match at Hardcore Heaven 96, it was like spitting in his face. RVD was cocky, and Sabu aimed to beat it out of him. On August 3rd, 1996, RVD and Sabu attempted to settle the issue in a Stretcher Match. I'm sure you guys are familiar with the concept, but just in case: A stretcher match involves beating your opponent so badly, you put them on a stretcher and they are then wheeled up the ramp and out of the building. In a violent and brutal match up, RVD knocked himself out on a misfired high risk move, and Sabu came out the victor.

After their match at Hardcore Heaven, they began to work as a tag team (as really, these guys were best friends), they're first major test was to wrestle The Eliminators, Saturn and Kronus, a hugely popular team in ECW, and also fighting like a well oiled machine, they were easily one of the best teams in the world at the time. They took this feud really around the loop. They also fought against The Gangsta's, The Dudleys, and any comers. But they're partnership wasn't going very smoothly as RVD was still cocky, and Sabu still didn't like it. RVD had a problem as 1997 rolled in however. RVD was essentially playing Sabu's second, as Sabu had the looming grudge match with Taz for Barely Legal. But RVD...well...didn't have any match.

It's a story RVD recounts on his DVD, and recounted that night actually on the PPV. He was happy to get on the show, but the way he got on was that Chris Candido was injured, so RVD defeated Lance Storm, as second choice, he wasn't happy about it. Rob felt he'd shown the company he was an asset, but was not booked on the show, it really didn't sit well with him, as he felt he was one of the top reps of what the company was about. He admits that he talked to Bischoff at the time, and the offer was very very good, very quickly he was receiving phone calls to the extent of "you're going to WCW". The genius of Paul E. he had an idea, first, he needed RVD to stay, and then he had to work the match. In his post match promo, he said he didn't belong wasting his time in a bingo hall, he belonged in the big time, the Monday night shows. In fact, in his post-match attack on Taz, as he and Sabu recruited Bill Alfonso, Van Dam looked into the camera and stated "I love to work Monday's". It was the beginning of a legendary angle.

Everyone thought he was going to Nitro, but boom, he went to the WWF. As part of a pre-arranged inter-promotional agreement, Lawler championed RVD as moving up from ECW, and Lawler said Van Dam was so good, he'd be called "Mr. Monday Night" a moniker was born. Van Dam was now shuttling back and forth between the two promotions, a heel in both areas, with Sabu and Alfonso in tow, Van Dam was getting not only huge exposure for ECW, he was getting big exposure for himself, beating WWF contracted wrestlers. He was using the momentum to jump around, saying nobody owned him. As the angle petered out after the 1997 November to Remember, where he lost a flag match to Tommy Dreamer (winner got to raise the flag of his chosen promotion), RVD began to become more and more popular, eventually, he and Sabu turned face. He was booked against ECW TV Champion Bam Bam Bigelow, RVD was there simply to soften up Bam Bam for Sabu who was going to face him at Hardcore Heaven 98. On April 4th, 1998, RVD shocked the world by defeating Bigelow to win the belt. On August 6th, 1998, he and Sabu defeated the team of Chris Candido and Lance Storm to capture the ECW World Tag Team championship, it would be their first of two reigns. RVD was on a role, and took a new moniker on as well, RVD was now "The Whole Fuckin' Show".

One of the things most people don't bring up about Van Dam's long TV Title reign, which was nearly two years, and made him the longest reigining champion of the 90's, is that Van Dam did not initially defend the belt much. He was more interested in the tag titles he held with Sabu. After having dropped the belts to The Dudleys (which we covered in our look at The Dudleys), RVD and Sabu recaptured them on December 13th 1998. They would drop the belts in April, but as 1999 opened up, it was clear the TV Title would no longer be a secondary priority.

RVD was on a roll as he entered 1999, he was perhaps the most popular wrestler in the company, and was headed into a rematch from Barely Legal with Lance Storm (Ironically, Storm was the second choice, as Masato Tanaka could not make his scheduled appearance for the PPV...good god, that would have been a great match, hey Paul, if you're reading this? BOOK THAT FOR ONE NIGHT STAND!!!). Storm and Van Dam had an excellent bout, as was the trend with RVD's TV Title defenses, and this was also where Van Dam really began to call himself "Mr. PPV". But no one, and I mean NO ONE, save maybe the men themselves, could have predicted that RVD's next PPV title defense, would mark his career, and the career of his challenger, forever...yeah, I'm talking about RVD vs. Jerry Lynn.

It isn't often that I get on a soapbox, and declare something so good, it has to be experienced, or the person who has not experienced it is somehow uneducated. This is one of the rare times that I will, if you haven't witnessed RVD vs. Jerry Lynn, that body of work, you DON'T know wrestling. RVD and Jerry Lynn's matches raised the bar for everyone, they had triathalon contests in there, they combined sports, and performing art, and just everything great about this business, into their contests. I have not met a person yet who dosen't rave about their work, it transcends any style, they brought intensity, brutality, pacing, and just everything up. It all began, at Living Dangerously 99

Jerry Lynn had been brought in after a failed run in WCW (remember Mr. JL? No? Good, no one should remember that abortion), Paul E. knew he had the goods, and had some long term plans for him, and figured a match with RVD would be the perfect way to showcase Lynn because he was one of the only guys on the roster that Paul knew could keep up with Van Dam. They had a match that defies description, at Living Dangerously, and some of the highlights, such as Lynns SICK Tornado DDT in which he spiked Van Dam's head off the mat were replayed on the ECW opening video until the end of the promotion. The match went to a time limit draw, and the referee awarded the belt to Lynn, but Jerry refused it, he did not want the title that way, if he was going to win, he wanted to win without doubt, he petitioned for five more minutes. The ref shook his head telling Lynn "don't you understand? I'm giving you the belt here" Lynn refused, he wanted his five more minutes, so did the fans. The match was restarted, and about 2 minutes in, RVD hit the Five Star Frog Splash for the win. The crowd went nuts, and the two shook hands, a legendary rivalry was born.

The match had been so good, there was no doubt that a rematch was imminent, at ECW's next pay per view, Hardcore Heaven 99, Lynn and Van Dam tied it up again. Now, most people revere this as the best match they had, and it's the one that was out on ECW's first commercial video and DVD release, Extreme Evolution, I personally prefer the original Living Dangerously bout, there was more hardcore here, but Lynn was injured early when he was crotched on the ropes, and took a Van Daminator onto the unprotected concrete, breaking his nose. He also fractured his skull somewhere in here as well, I believe it was rather early, but Jerry STILL went for...god, I think he went at least 10 or 15 minutes of the thing with the injury, the nose broke in probably the first five. The Hardcore Heaven match cannot be denied as Jerry Lynn's finest hour, Living Dangerously was also all about Jerry Lynn, it is the kind of clear cut story telling that is pretty much devoid in most matches currently. In the end, Lynn would come up short once again, and again, the two men would show respect for one another. If you ask me, these two bouts are really where RVD upped the overall importance of the Television Title, where it became equivalent to the heavyweight title. I think the ingredients had been there, the long reign, the popular champion who had incredible matches with just about anyone, but Jerry Lynn, the fact that he came within an eyelash of winning twice, that it can be argued he didn't win because of Bill Alfonso's interference in the contests, that's what elevated the belt, having an opponent who could go toe to toe with the champion. In my opinion, it is a feud that can stand up against such legendary feuds as Flair and Steamboat, and is maybe even better.

RVD continued to have great success in 1999, either headlining, or working just below the main event in PPV, the tag title loss, and ban on Sabu didn't daunt him, if anything, it helped him because he was able to focus on his own career and talents, and on the Television Belt, raising both up to new heights. When ECW debuted on TNN, the first show was a replay of RVD vs. Jerry Lynn, and not long after, Lynn and Van Dam worked a televised bout for the show (which was marred by the horrible decision on the part of TNN to run commercials every five minutes through the ECW show because they kept the ad money, there was really no way to get into the match as every time it would heat up, TNN would cut to a commercial, and I'd inch closer to putting anthrax into the executives mail boxes). Van Dam had a surprisingly excellent wrestling match with Balls Mahoney as a surprise match to end Anarchy Rulz 99. Most fans were completely unfamiliar with Mahoney's amateur skills as he usually just bashed people with chairs, and did, or took, violent bumps, Van Dam defeated him with the Five Star. He then had Taz's last ECW match at the November to Remember, to close out 1999.

RVD was untouchable heading into 2000, he was easily the most popular wrestler on the roster, and with the departure of Taz, it looked like RVD was next in line for the heavyweight championship (there had certainly been teases to that extent between he and champion Mike Awesome). Van Dam faced old partner and nemesis, Sabu at Guilty as Charged 2000 to settle all scores. Sabu vowed if he did not win this bout, he would leave ECW. Sabu came up short, and except for a couple of more appearances, left the promotion (we'll cover what happened there when we get into Sabu). I imagine beating Sabu was the last step in RVD's push to Awesome, and it was certainly looking that way when tragedy struck...the websites were abuzz with the horrible news, RVD was wrestling Rhino at a house show, and during a baseball slide, his leg was broken. The unstoppable RVD was grounded.

Yeah, Randy's going to lose for sure... But I ain't making any bets on this little fight, since I still have a small feeling he'll win.

almost as much as HHH he's god

He's going to lose, sadly. To Batista. Wait, that isn't anything to cry about. Yay! But seriously. As good as Triple H is, I'm tired of watching his bad facial hair and huge nose on my screen with such a pretty belt. It's the time of the Animal now.

"You ungrateful piece of crap." I don't know why, but I bursted into laughter when I heard him say it.

yeah i agree with you it's a shame but he'll get over it...unless Gene Snitsky gets involved i don't know why but i have a feeling someone will get involved OTHER than Ric Flair

wow, damn good RVD bio! I never knew he trained with Sabu.

Some stuff:
Psicosis (currently wrestling as Nicho in Mexico) and Super Crazy are scheduled to start with WWE after Wrestlemania. Psicosis is rumored to being using the Psychosis spelling in WWE.

Juvetud Guerrera is having visa issues, which is slowing down the process for his paperwork.

Despite his Smackdown bio being removed from WWE's web site for a short time last week, Suzuki is currently out of action with a collapsed lung.

ouch..

I'll probably do part 3 tonight, since I just sort of ran out of time yesterday.

I'm really tired of them trying to make everybody's name "cool" by misspelling it, or spelling it diferently then it was before, it just looks ridicolous at this point.

Big time, my aunt's currently dealing with that, it's a very painful and debilitating condition, could be a long time before we see Kenzo back in the ring.

Honestly, I don't know how anybody is really defending the game at this point. His character is utterly obnoxious, and there's no excuse for him to come out on the shows like he did two weeks ago, sit down in the middle of the ring, and run down everybody on the roster, then lastly talk about his challenger, if he's never going to fight any of the people he runs down (like JBL for example), then there's no point in blasting them. Whether it's creative, or The Game himself who's scripting these promos, he's not getting the kind of heat they want for the most part, he's trying too hard to be Ric Flair in his prime and really, there's only one Ric Flair. The Game just sounds like an obnoxious asshole that's reaching and trying to be something he isn't, he's trying to convince everyone that he can beat anyone, and instead of in the same promo building up his challenger as one of the best in the world (like Ric Flair used to do), he spends his time making them sound weak, and out of his league (hell, he's been saying how Batista has nothing without The Game, which could work out in the end if after Batista beats him they portray it as stepping out of H's shadow).

I could've sworn it was Paul London vs. Chavo Guerro.

Sorry for the delay, it's back to a regular schedule now, and that's making it a little harder to finish up these bios, but I'm back to the boards now, and here we go:

There is not a doubt in my mind that RVD would have been World Heavyweight Champion at Living Dangerously 2000. None, Awesome had fought Spike Dudley the month before, and RVD had defeated Sabu. No offense to Spike, but he was just a victim to show Awesome's dominance as champion, as Sabu was used to show how important to the company RVD was, and how far he had come. But RVD had no broken his leg, and those plans went up in smoke. The further complication was what to do with the TV title? Paul E. had left the heavyweight title on Shane Douglas in 98 when he'd broken his wrist, but that was because Paul never wanted the ECW title's lineage broken by forfeit, and he had only been syndicated then...now he was on national television, and the TV Title was too important to let RVD hang onto it while being out for months. There was no choice, RVD had to forfeit the belt, and a story was concocted where he did so on ECW on TNN as Cyrus took the belt on behalf of The Network.

RVD would appear frequently on television during his injury, as his good friend Scotty Anton (who worked as Scotty Riggs in WCW) had come into the promotion. RVD returned in just three short months, Hardcore Heaven 2000, in a match against Jerry Lynn, it was the second main event of a triple main event show. RVD and Lynn brought us yet another classic confrontation, I would say here they definitely toned down some of the more insane violence they'd used at the event the year before, which was really very smart, as both men were headliners by this point, and it served absolutely no one's best interest to let them injure one another. They took it back more towards their first bout at Living Dangerously, which featured a lot more straight up wrestling, and a restraint on the hardcore spots. Jerry defeated RVD with a cradle piledriver on a steel chair, interference from The Network team (Cyrus was trying to recruit Lynn at that point) and the betrayal of his best friend Scotty Anton (who joined The Network) helped in the victory, and ended RVD's PPV undefeated streak.

RVD was now hellbent on the destruction of his former friend, and Network stooge Scotty Anton...but to do it, he needed a new move...what he created? The Van Terminator. Look, there was no way this was going to draw any money, everybody knew that, the only way this match was going to sell was to get RVD to come up with something totally new that he could do to Scotty that would make people want to order the show, so as much as they hyped how RVD was going to pay Scotty back, The Van Terminator, this mysterious new move, got just as much hype. RVD pretty much owned this match, and then positioned Scotty into a corner, with Bill Alfonso holding a chair over his face, then Van Dam went to the opposite corner, hoped to the top ring rope (not the turnbuckle, the rope itself) and jumped HALFWAY ACROSS THE RING to drive the chair in Scotty's face!!! The Van Terminator had debuted, and RVD picked up the victory. Anybody who believes in giving credit where credit is due is still pissed that Shane Mcmahon used the move when he fought his father at Wrestlemania that year, and they acted like Shane had invented the move.

Anarchy Rulz rolled around, and RVD was to face Rhino, to settle the score on RVD's broken leg from earlier in the year. RVD defeated Rhino with the Van Terminator if I remember correctly. RVD did not wrestle the next two PPVs, and was not at any major ECW shows after this, as he was reportedly unsatisfied with the fact that he was not being paid, and was, I can only assume, mulling over his options, and other offers he was receiving at the time. RVD's final ECW appearance was at Guilty As Charged 2001, ECW's last PPV event against...yep, you guessed it, a now heel Jerry Lynn, in which Van Dam got the dupe.

It's very said that RVD will not be able to physically compete at One Night Stand, RVD is now doubt one of the performers most associated with ECW, but rest assured that in some way, shape, or form, "Mr. PPV" "The Whole Fuckin Show" Rob Van Dam, will be making an appearance.

Chavo got hurt I hear, so that match is off I guess until he heals, a really bad break for London.

I'm looking at covering the parts of Sabu's career I haven't done yet later on tonight, since there was a request for Sabu. After him I'm not sure who to do, I think based off a few pieces I've done previously, it might be a good time to cover some more of Justin Credible (although about the only major things we haven't touched on already is some of his impact players work, and the angles after his title loss). I want to keep doing guys who are working one night stand, but I also want to do bios that are interesting to people, so if you've got a request between tonight and tommorow, post it up, if not, I'll probably just do Credible and see where we are after that.

Sounds like a plan to me. After that maybe you could cover Rick Flair or possibly HHH? Of course after you've done what is left of Credible.

But yeah, that bio on RVD does tell alot and like Outlaw pointed out, his lack of ring time.

Yeah, I'll let you handle that, I'm better with ECW anyway because there's only 8 years worth of history for the entire company, so it makes it much easier to keep things straight, and of course, I still have a good tape and DVD collection there. Plus, for me, the bios are to hype One Night Stand, and convince you guys to order that show without hesitation June 12th. That's why I focus on the guys who are going to be on it.

Yes, I gotta say I enjoyed the RVD bio very much.

Much appreciated, I tend to wind up looking back over these things unsatisfied because of details I wind up leaving out, or matches I forget, but I think that one was fairly extensive and good. No Sabu tonight, sorry guys, got caught up in the drama in General (I'm friends with a couple mods, so yeah) and I'm just too tired to try and do it, and wake up tommorow having it possibly be crap, I want to be able to give each of these my best effort.
