I mean, once I beat the 100 man-melee with Yuri and did a few side quests, he was only 2 levels under final form Duke (65). Everyone else was level 61.
haha you can pwn duke at lvl 58, unlike most tales bosses you can skip a few lvls and still own him, you should have done the optional dungeon before restarting, its naustalgic and crazy.
oh and dont stop now you got more things to do in vesperia, and i mean more things to do, i havent played in a bit but when im back on im gonna go and do the whole dessert from nordipolica.
Yeah, a lot more achievements and all that. I did start a new game right after I beat it though, and am right now in the center of Quoi Woods.
And I still need 900,000 Gald.
lol 900,000 gald is easy for a battle whore like me, put the game on hard and gald farmed this bitch.
knux update on destiny please!!<--noob moment.
soon will be star ocean 4 time. 7 more days and edge maverick will be in our hands.
So, now that my bro's going to school, I finally had time to play DotNW, and I must say..... I don't like it so far - gotten up to the dungeon under the Wind Dias.
Emil sounds like some emo b*tch, the graphics are HARDCORE LAST-GEN, and my ring no longer stuns enemies :(
Story seems interesting at least, and in battle Emil gets possessed so he doesn't sound like a frightened punk. Couple things I've found funny so far, though, are 1) the Mieu(Tales of Abyss) plush on Marta's bag, and 2) it seems like they tried to model Tenebrae's personality after Jade's(Tales of Abyss).
Personally I'd like my GC controller back, as well as the World Map Roam; just not as fun without being able to actually trek over the land, being forced to just auto-travel to the next place.

I'm just past there on my second playthrough. And I'm shocked you don't like it.

It's the internet. No need to censor yourself. And don't worry, Emil gets better as the game goes on. You know what he did to the leader of the Martel Knights in Luin? That happens more often as time goes by. And yes, the graphics aren't great. A shame too, because this game could have been great if Namco put the same amount of love into it as they did Vesperia.

I wouldn't know either of those, seeing as I've played neither game.

Yeah. That shortens the game length by a few hours, trust me. It'll end up only being around 24 hours when all is said and done, which is tragic in my opinion.

With added assistance of course.

But it is a kind gesture to do so.

Character development would have been up there with Abyss if only 2 characters weren't the only ones.
And yes, the graphics aren't great.
I enjoyed them. Sounds like people are nit-picking about the graphics of this game. We got a good look at the graphics in the trailers, no one complained then. And I think it's already been established that graphics doesn't factor in alot. Yes, it is true that nice visual effects enhances the experience, but what were you all expecting for a Wii game?
A shame too, because this game could have been great if Namco put the same amount of love into it as they did Vesperia.
But then it wouldn't be a Wii title, because such gratuitous amounts of love cannot be stored onto a Wii optical disc.
I wouldn't know either of those, seeing as I've played neither game.
You really need it. It's like Vesperia, but faster and slightly easier, and a better (in my opinion) battle system, FOF for the win.
Personally I'd like my GC controller back,
Meh.

That was scrapped due to deadline issues, they were planning on doing it though.
ToD update!
This game has a world map, though vague and overly retro, making it hard to navigate right...
But alas, I made it to the next city, there is a trap in this city with a kid in a cat costume who says do you want some treasure. If you decide to get this game, say no to this part! If you get that "treasure, which is an orange gel, he'll block your path and force you to pay him all your money, I just reset the game, but still, beware of this. Anyway, we made it to this guy's mansion when Rutee did a job for him and demanded a huge payout. Because the client really needed the item, he payed her and was really pissed, so we left and booked at an inn, when the next morning, we were ambushed by some soldiers, who were the same people we fought in the previous dungeon. Easy enough to take them on, but then some asshole showed up. Leon is his name and he is a fellow swordian.
He whoops out asses Yggdrasil style, and arrested us, we were then given these tracker things that also act as shock treatment if we try to escape, we were then assigned a job to investigate and eliminate this death cannon underneath some place. We left out and Leon join our party, who I'm starting to like better because he gave Rutee the treatment she deserves.
And Mary...if looking really ditzy right about now.

This is why I don't pay attention to reviews. If one of my favorite games ever is one that IGN gave a 4.9, I'm pretty sure they don't affect me. I've proven every reviewer wrong at one point or another.
And I'll get that shit when I have money.

It isn't hard for me to believe the criticisms of the fourth game after having played the third one in the series. In fact, you'd have a pretty hard time convincing me that the game won't have a bad plot and terrible pacing (and of course, bad voice acting).
I tend to not really mind if a game has a badly told story if the gameplay makes up for it, but in an RPG it's a little less excusable. You tend to have to play an RPG for a ridiculous amount of time with much less proper involvement in the gameplay than, say, an action game, and if there's no story to hold your interest, then all you're doing is running around in a world you don't want to be in. I hear Star Ocean 4 has up to half hour long cutscenes, and man, I do not want to have to go through that in a story I don't care about.
I enjoyed Star Ocean 2 a lot, but as far as I can tell, that game is an outlier in an otherwise unremarkable series.
Bottom line: I'm not hurting that the game isn't on the Playstation 3.
By the way, is Eternal Sonata worth it?

Hm....lets see...
Now for the Epic part of my post.
No ToD update this time kiddies, but it's time I get to announcing that as of yesterday, I own an Xbox 360, complete with Sonic Unleashed (OMG RPG FEATURES, IT MUST BE AN RPG), Street Fighter 4, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Tales of Vesperia (of course *Tales Fanboy--6 Tales games in counting, 4 physical ownerships, 2 roms*) and a reservation for Last Hope (Star Ocean 4).
I also have a year subscription to xbox live under the tag "l1Skye1l" for Street Fighter ownage.
I hacked my Wii too.
But thats a WIP (Work in Progress).
Thats about it.
*flies away*
Well, I didn't get to see trailers for DotNW. If I had, I woulda complained then just like I am now. Not gonna nit-pick, though, 'cause I know it's not the graphics that make the game. As long as the plot is good, I'll leave it alone graphics-wise.
Another thing I noticed on Marta's backpack was the doll from ToA - err, I can never remember the girl's name because I never use her in battle ^^;
I think it's... A-... something?
If you haven't played Tales of the Abyss, YOU SHOULD. Luke's development is just the best I've seen in a while, and Jade... Jade is just AWESOME. He surpasses Auron(FFX), Kratos(ToS)... Jade is just... WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HIS AWESOMENESS.
The plot is cool, and the opening song just blew me away. The most important thing of all, though, is the battle system. The Field of Fonons is a great strategic element.
In Short... BUY IT NOW. WHAT ARE YOU STILL READING FOR! GO GO GO!!!

I CAN'T.

Woah, there cowboy. More awesome than Kratos? Bullshit. It's impossible.

....not as good as Kratos...?

Whoa now, Jade is cool and all, but I would go that far with him--not that I disagree with you, but he can be described in words.
Jade is.......charming.
Yeah.

Well, it's time I get to my Vesperia updates!
Well--I just got to making the guild and I saved right outside of Heliord.
I smiled when I was able to use the classic combo Shining Fang to Dragon Swarm, but Destruction Field to Crushing Eagle is still my favorite thus far.
I never got the chance to play Yuri alot when I played with Grey or Geoghan, but know that I have the chance, he's hella fun.
I still play Repede, Raven and Judith, but I'll get to playing them when they get their cooler moves.
Sonic Unleashed Update.
YEAH THATS RIGHT, BECAUSE IT HAS A LEVEL UP FUNCTION AND STAT BOOSTS I CAN TALK ABOUT IT HERE ON A BITCH ASS TECHNICALITY.
I did the Daytime stage for Chu-nan, which is fun as hell, but barelyu beats Spagonia, I haven't scored an S yet, but I'm trying. You can buy food to give Sonic exp, and therer are puzzles before you get to the stages in the overworld, not to mention that you actually have to collect a certain number of Sun and Moon medals to gain access to stages.
And dare I say, the Nighttime stages are---fun....
Sonic has two stats, Speed and Ring Energy, Werehog has like 5, Combat, Strength, Life, Unleashed, and Guard, after any stage (whether it be Nighttime or Daytime), you can give the exp to any stat for either Hedgehog or Werehog. So far this game is beating ass, I haven't had so much fun with a 3D Sonic game since Adventure, but thats off topic.
n.~
No ToD update this time either, I've been neglecting it, plus it get very cold downstairs at night, so thats been keeping me too, not to mention my sleep schedule has balanced out again, but for how long...?
TIISOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!
!!!!
NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!
Nani?
Anyways.
So yeah, I finally went to the Deathclaw Sanctuary in Fallout 3. Not as scary as I thought it would be, though it did seem to lag quite a bit >:(
Really on my way to getting all of the unique weapons now; the only sad thing is I'm gonna HAVE to get that 'Lawbringer' perk to get Plunkett's Valid Points :(
Using 'The Kneecapper' to get to the 'Burnmaster', definitely like it more than the 'Terrible Shotgun'. Kneecapper for short-range and Ol' Painless for long-range seems to work fairly well; and if I run into real trouble, I always have the Alien Blaster and Vengence for back-up :)
Anyone know if you can still get multiple followers if you wait to do the glitch AFTER the point where you're forced to lose any you have?

Hey, massive fan of RPGs here, hoping to join the crew.
Some of the RPGs I'm trying to play are:
Fallout 3
Chrono Trigger (excellent game)
Disgaea DS
FF IV
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Lunar Knights
Soma Bringer (using a translated walkthrough)
I'm hoping to get Tales of Vesperia (it's not out in Europe yet) and Star Ocean 4 soon.

Vesperia = Win
I plan on getting SO4 as well, I hope my reservation is still valid, but even then--I don't know, I may need to save up some more--or get Resident Evil 5, which is looking more and more appealing to me.
I kinda already lost hope for redemption of the SO series, so I was never all that psyched to get it.
On a Vesperia note, Karol just got his balls and we stopped by Halure on our way to rescue Estelle.
Alot of people like Yuri for his exertion of himself, but that kinda makes me dislike him a bit, and dare I say, I kinda like Yeager as a character.

WUT!? This is a great game. For ages all I've been hearing is that this is the greatest RPG ever made. I'm not sure about greatest but it still is pretty awesome.
Never heard of.Lunar KnightsNever played.
Soma Bringer (using a translated walkthrough)
Lunar Knights is a DS game by Hideo Kojima so it's pretty good. Not far into it though. Soma Bringer is a Japanese-only game so it's no suprise you've never heard of it. Thank God for region-free DS games.

If it's anything like Eternal Sonata was then I'm pumped. Based on the art style and the graphics, it looks very similiar. Gameplay doesn't seem to differ much either.
