And as if that wasn't bad enough, she's practically ashamed of being nice to me in public now that our friends know. She's nice enough to me when it's just the two of us -- and don't get me wrong, I love the time we do spend together -- but my Video Arts class is getting less and less fun by the day. This Anita girl I know seems to have, like, teamed up with Oriana to try and make my time in that class as difficult as possible. See, I'm always ahead in that class and they always tell me that I should help them along with what I know. But when I do help them out, they start calling me a "film Nazi". And when I don't, they go on about how I "don't care" and then, they end up taking forever trying to figure out the most basic of shots. I'm sure they mean it all jokingly, but honestly, it's pissing me off. And yes, I have talked to Oriana about it. And every time, it's always the same response: "Oh, you know we love you." Uh-huh. But it's a complete contrast to how she treats me when it's just the two of us. It's not uncommon for her to curl up next to me while we're watching a movie in her basement but when we're in school, if she even gives me a hug, she'll do it to the person next to me as well. If only she wasn't so damn self-conscious all the time. All those episodes of America's Next Top Model aren't exactly helping her with that. On the other hand, I suppose I can't blame her for doing what she does. I'm sure there are plenty of things I do that annoy her. I just wouldn't mind if she treated me with some respect at least, you know? I'm really not liking my Video Arts class these days. Well, she wasn't too bad today. But that might just have been on account of her dressing up for the season. She showed up today dressed like Hermione from the Harry Potter movies. It was kinda hot actually. Must've been the schoolgirl outfit. I never said that.

I don't even know why I still like her when she treats me like that though. But I guess I don't really need a reason. This whole crush business was never exactly a rational one. and the most recent CNN poll shows that if the swing states (states that could go either way for bush or kerry) stay in what trend the polls were, Bush would be ahead by only a few electoral votes, but neither canidate will have the 270 electoral votes needed to be president, then it goes to congress, and they'll vote on who's gonna be president, which means Bush will win because the congress is controlled in both the senate and the house by republicans.

electoral votes = each state has so many votes towards the election, depending on the outcome of the total votes in the state, the one with the most votes in that state will get all of the states electoral votes. and to become president you need to have 270+ electoral votes (getting majority in enough highly populated states to equall so many)

and if it isn't clear, like neither of them get 270, it goes to congress, and they vote on who will be president.

the thing about the 2000 election was that there wasn't every state had a clear winner, florida was too close to call, and both canidates appealed to the courts for recounts, so that one of them could get florida for 270 votes.

since it wasn't a matter of not enough electoral votes each, but a matter of votes in just one state, it went straight to the supreme court.

this year they are trying to fix the whole debocle
