It's a well thought-out idea, Per.
Looking from the perspective of others, I can see the flaws and drawbacks.
However, I think the implimentation of such a system would also require the implementation of a penalization system to deter users from pointlessly spamming to reach said targets that obtain more privileges.
Mods able to see how many band a user has? The more bans, the more severe the ban length (more bans usually indicate a lack of learning from one's mistakes)
I mean, people say that we should just let the mods do what they do - but if there's an effective system which can filter the amount of stupidity coming into the forums, then it'd be less of a headache for everyone.
Thats the hope. In the meantime...

Because post number = good topics/posts...right...
Not that post count equals good posting, but users who have been around longer usually know what's acceptable and isn't. Whether or not they choose to follow that is up to them...

Im kinda mad I would have to "lurk" for two days, even though I've been on the community for a good year.
The imposition would only apply to new sign-ups, to keep it fair to those who are good posters, but infrequent ones.
A system for finding low-post spammers would be good if possible.
More ideas, which is the goal of this topic.

But what about people who have over 10,000 posts, none of which have any content in?
Are you offering yourself as an example? :P
