You got it right. Plus there is his constant struggel to keep from getting with his brothers girl(who allways hits on him)and keep the things coming out of his head a secret. Like in the cat ears episode.

Ugh :/ But like every DVD only has 3 episodes...right now at least. And like I dunno where it is and all but here it costs like $29.99 for each DVD so um... it's like very not worth it.

Actually I watched the director's commentary and he said that it's really a "Boy meets Girl" story. But he didn't want it to look like the others, so he had them meet by having Naota getting run over. ^_^

I guess thats one way to look at it. Though him and the alien girl never really get serious. Shes way older (3 or 4 years mabey) and he keeps bouncing between wanting the alien and wanting his brothers girl. So there are a few ways to see it - though only one is right.
