akira while being an artistic anime and one of my favorites is hard to understand I think ive seen it over 13 times now (litteraly)
and i still dont get all that goes on in it , i mean you know u get introduced to the characters u think its gonna be a motor cycle gang movie and then bam tetsuo nocking over walls with psychic abilities and giant teddie bears are prepared to stomp the shit out of him, its just like i never truly understood everything in it but i still like it alot

Akira is a lot easier to understand if you read the mangas. I think there's six of them. I think around 500 to 600 pages each.

i didnt read the mangas, but i still didnt have to watch the movie 13 times to actuall understand what the movie was about

It's alright man, I'm with ya there. I understood the Matrix and I am still unclear about what happened in Akira. Then again I only seen it 1 time and it was 4am. Dunno if that is the reason or not.

As amirable as not hitting girls is to some people... Personally I think a fighter is a fighter..drop all prejudices or you'll lose due to them. (I'm a swordswomen myself) You'd be surprised how great an old man can fight, or a child even as long as they're experenced...

Yes. That anime series doesn't live up the fame of the original Love Hina series. The series were much too fast-paced to be understand. But hey, Naru finally confessed to Keitaro that she loves him.

I just kind of, no offense to anyone, think girls are, put bluntly, weak. But that's most likely because I have a 14 year old sister who weighs 90 lbs, and can barely lift a sack of potatoes. Plus, it's funny watching girls try to act tough. Because guys use fist... they use teeth and fingernails.
But, I've said enough on that subject. I've gotta find a cheeper way to get anime. I saw a lot of good ones at Sam Goody, but they're all like $24 a DVD. The VHS is $10, but I only have a (or 2, when I think about it) DVD player in my room. No VCR. And, I don't really know what I would like. Anyone know of any good ones that have violence, gore, strong or "vulgar" language, nudity (shut up), or anything along those lines?

Kuwabara is a Class B fighter, Hiei and Kurama are both Class A fighters, and Yusuke is a Class S fighter.

Chobbits is a very on the line type of anime xD! At every turn Hidake has to correct Chi from something that turns out ...um...embarressing in a reletivly dirty way sometimes...yet she comes out adorable in every situation. I can't say too much without spoiling things for Wonko (he's last on episode 2 I heard) but for example..Chi's "on" switch is up in her....you know...
