princess mononoke i an awesome movie, but i would say that the best is akira, no doubt about it. very few ppl can animate their movies to be almost completely photorealistic, but akira takes the cake.
also slightly below princess mononoke would probably be the cowboy bebop movie or x, both very good movies, but i liked X more :)
