It looks like Hunter x Hunter is over, and Toonami will air a new show in the 3 AM timeslot starting July 7 - Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin

I know what you mean; Most new shows are added to the line-up around Midnight, give or take an hour.
Speaking of which, I just found out this morning that Food Wars will start on Toonami next Saturday (or technically Sunday) at 1 AM. It fills the spot of The Promised Neverland until season 2 premieres in 2020, I presume.

Food Wars should do ok, but Toonami is trying to kill itself.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, has been great so far. Really getting into it.
Fire Force, Arifureta, Vinland Saga and Dr. Stone look pretty good so far. Might also try If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord.
All new Toonami coming up. Can't wait to see all the current episodes.

Arifureta is apparently a disaster for the studio working on it.
Might end up like Marchen Madchen or My Sister, My Writer. Unfinished or full of pleas for help in the credits.
Dr. Stone, Fire Force, and Granbelm are great so far. Fridays are packed.
Loving the new Dororo anime so far. I’ve wanted this to be a thing since I was like 15 or 16 years old. Been a long time since seeing a new anime that I really enjoyed.

It's also one of those times where the anime is better than the manga. I mean I understand the manga is from the 1960s but it left me thinking "That's it?"
Also it's weird seeing Hyakkimaru that goofy and talkative in the manga after watching some episodes of the 2019 anime.

Yeah, it didn’t get finished. The comic was weird, but I dug it. The style reminded me almost of Popeye or something meets like Astroboy but it’s got blood and beheadings and children getting killed. But then it also has really cartoonish silliness like someone gets in a fight and it turns into a cloud of fists and stars like out of Looney Tunes.

Hyakki in the PS2 game is closer to the comic. The game was what I new first when I was a kid. Loved it. That’s what made me read the comic.

Haven't watched it and probably won't for a while, but at first glance I'm a bit disappointed how 'modernized' it is aesthetically. Would've been dope to see a modern anime stick to the vintage manga style.

Guess it made sense that in the Japanese version of the game he was voiced by Gintoki. The guy really likes to go over the top at times.

I think the style is more fitting. It’s extremely tragic and it’s gory as fuck. I don’t think a style close to the comic would work nearly as well for the ending of the Story of Moriko Song. The art of the comic seems so lighthearted.
Food Wars is actually better than I thought. You just have to give it a chance.
fuck yuo idiote
Looks like gen:lock is replacing Attack on Titan for the Toonami block, which I’ll take a pass on. Honestly, I was half-expecting RWBY to be there considering that adult swim and Rooster Teeth are now part of the Warnermedia group, and seems to want to cross-promote what they have. There were smart enough not to do that show at least, but hopefully this will be a one-off series and not flood it other RT crap.
As for actual anime, I’m actually enjoying Mom Isekai (the full name is Do you love your Mom and her two hit multiparty attacks?)
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Sorry to double post, but as I was mentioning with Mom isekai, it’s a parody of isekai tropes and shows in general from a viewpoint of a mom and a teenaged son, but doesn’t take them that seriously. If nothing else, it is kind of humorous in a way that a MILF who probably never played a video game before become an OP badass.
Of course, my hope is that it doesn’t turn into a cringefest of generational stereotypes and characters that don’t grow and evolve from this point forward, because they have all of the ingredients to do so, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
