I have not seen it. Is it more realistic or fantasy themed?

it doesnt have any fantasy elements, just a straight up pirate adventure based on the novel.

That is what I like to hear. Will add it to my Must Watch list.
New Toonami tonight. The best presentation of anime on TV.

Last night was the end of Space Dandy; One Punch Man comes back next week to take its place, while Lupin III and Cowboy Bebop trade time slots for some reason.
August 18th will be the premiere of Attack on Titan season 3 and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, which suggests either Toonami is expanding another half-hour or something is getting dropped. If it's the latter, then it's probably FLCL Progressive.
The premiere of FLCL Alternative is scheduled for September 8, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Cowboy Bebop marathon on Labor Day weekend to finish it up.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toonami is also setting up for a One Punch Man S2 near-simuldub.
I have a hard time seeing a Fall premiere, but 2 runs of S1 would make Winter very doable.

Space Dandy is good, but this is not the first time that they have showed all of season one.

It would be nice if they went a half hour longer. I can remember when Toonami would go until 6 in the morning.

They do love to show repeat marathons during the holidays.
Looking forward to AoT S3 and finally getting the dub for Diamond is Unbreakable. I'll have to go and watch the sub of Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency before Golden Wind premieres. I definitely need to go back and rewatch Hunter X Hunter. Also, do I stick with One Piece sub or dub? I'm on Sabaody in the dub and the middle of Punk Hazard in sub. Currently watching One Punch Man and My Hero Academia 3 in sub before the dub.
I'll later leave a list of titles, anyone can tell me whether or not to give them a shot.

Yes, they will be both great. Toonami is giving us the goods.

You should watch the first episode in sub and dub. That is the best way to decide how you want to watch the entire series.

Do you finish an entire show one at a time, or do it Toonami style?

I guess I mostly binge stream, like when I first watched MHA S2 sub, I watched 5 episodes a day. The one show I think I binge watched the most was One Piece subbed before I had trouble deciding to stick with it over dub.
Some I didn't add I'm already trying to find time to watch.
Claymore
D. Gray Man
Black Cat
Black Butler
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Code Geass (tried watching but couldn't understand)
Yona of the Dawn
Prison School
Kuroko's Basketball

That is a nice list. I would recommend giving each anime a fair chance. Watch the first episode and see what you think. If somebody else gives you advice about what they think is good or bad, you might disagree.
There is a new Toonami tonight. Make sure you have your snacks and drinks ready for watching it.

Yeah, I've seen it but hardly remember it, so it's worth another go around. Didn't really see the movies, maybe just the first one?

Looking forward to it. MHA S2 starts, final bout against DIO, Asta vs Litch, and OPM returns, I'm excited.

Toonami was great tonight. They finally stopped DIO, for now.

OP Man Season 2 has been finally listed. I was losing hope for a second.
We will all get the chance to see it now.

For the original series there's two movies, the first is Death & Rebirth which is just a recap with a few new scenes. The way it's structured highlights some interesting correlations and how much the characters change over the show, but it's inconsequential overall.
The more important film is The End of Evangelion, an alternate take on the last two episodes and imo the crown jewel of the whole franchise & on e of the greatest piece of fiction in any medium.
More recently there's a remake tetralogy, Rebuild of Evangelion. Only three of the four films are out and there's no word on when the last one will show up. They're much lighter on the existentialism and abstract visuals and instead simplify the characters & focus more on the action.
For an action anime they're really good and up there as some of the best looking animated films I've ever seen, but they cut out the stuff that actually makes Eva special imo. 2.22 in particular is fantastic for what it is though.
There is a new Toonami tonight, and it starts even earlier tonight. Attack on Titan has new episodes after the long wait.

Well, I did like Josuke's dub VA in Diamond Is Unbreakable. And we get an hour of AoT this time since were waiting for FLCL Alternative. Black Clover to me still manages to do well with its familiar VA's. Still waiting on the Tournament of Power in DBS as I prefer the dub.

Diamond Is Unbreakable did have a good first episode. Black Clover has done well so far. Attack on Titan should be the biggest hit of them all.
How do you think Takumi passes his driving exam for his license?

There is no way that he studies and passes it without incident. lol

Well, I was half-right; Toonami expanded to 6 hours (10 PM to 4 AM), and last night they aired an encore of the Attack on Titan season 3 premiere to fill FLCL Progressive's time slot. This encore presentation was a one-time deal, as FLCL Alternative will take this time slot in September.
Next week is Labor Day Weekend, and Toonami will run a My Hero Academia marathon. Speaking of which, the movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes will play in select theaters September 25 to October 2. The events of the film take place between seasons 2 and 3. I've already bought my ticket.

It was awesome to see a double shot of Attack on Titan. I could get used to that, but looks like it won't happen again.

I loved both of the Kaiji series; they are among my favorite series of all time, so I can't wait to see what this one has in store.
