look, if you guys aren't watching your anime on vhs tapes through your grandparents barely operating 4:3 panasonic you're doing the medium a disgrace, upon realizing this fact all effort should be immediately made towards correcting that mistake so you can watch anime how it's truly meant to be viewed.

jokes aside, unless you're watching on a small ass crt monitor it would be beneficial to get over the hurdle of learning how to torrent. i know streams are as easy as one two three but the pros of watching shows through torrents outweigh the single con of inconvenience.

So I stuck with Sword Art Online through to the end.

I definitely gets better after the glacially paced first few episodes, and I'd say some of the stuff in the middle is genuinely entertaining, but then when it switches over to the new game world it drops off a cliff again and all just feels like filler until the last couple of episodes.

It all gets a bit too weird with the incest shit, two teenagers having a virtual daughter who can't be more like 7 or 8 years younger than them, and implied tentacle rape and whatnot. Turning Asuna into a full on damsel in distress for the second half of the show didn't sit at all right with me either.

So yeah, pretty middling on the whole. Not terrible, but a tough one to recommend.

Did quite enjoy the final battle being a knife fight in a car park, though.

Will make a start on either Durarara!! or Space Dandy this weekend. Hopefully they're a bit better.

Checked out the latest raw scan of "Mahou Shoujo of the End" and it looked as if Lynn Okamoto got involved considering what happened in the latest chapter.

At least it does explains the future Sayano's magical abilities prior to the reset at the end of chapter 20. Also, we get to see how Tsukune looked as an adult.

More importantly, do you think Umaru is a brocon?

Beats me, but the fact that there were hints of their family's wealthy background does make you wonder. If they are rich, then Umaru would have been better off staying with her dad rather than moving in with her brother. I mean if you're going to freeload off of someone, you can guess which is more ideal.

Then again, their dad was probably more strict but who knows?

I wouldn't be surprised if she did have some complex relating to that but right now, we didn't have enough to go by since even Taihei's possible Oedipus Complex had slightly more to stand on due to couple of flashbacks and even then, we're not entirely sure.

Then you have another girl who just started making appearance living in the same room Umaru used to live in one of the flashbacks when Taihei gave her a plushie he won at the arcade.

Could she be related to them as well? Not to mention Alex knows her and Kanou seems to know her. Then there's how Alex is apparently a spy send by someone to make a contact with Umaru...

I started and finished the Gantz manga while I was gone. Pretty fucking bugged out stuff. I enjoyed it a lot more than the anime. I also read the first two volumes of Dororo and got a tiny bit into Blame! and Avatar the Last Airbender: the Promise.

I've been without internet for 50 days.

Why is Goku beating up the Backyardigans?

Newgrounds is still here.

I use stream sites on my phone and y'all can smd.

I just watched Toonami last Saturday night, and I thought it was alright. Don't really care for DBZ Kai, Kill la Kill was fun, though definitely doesn't live up to the ungodly amount of hype it got. {anyone who really thought that KLK was "saving" anime needs is a moron} Michiko and Hatchin is something I've never heard of before, so it might be worth a look and SAO II is just as polarizing as the first one, and I'll leave it at that. What I heard is that Akame ga kill is going to replace KLK on August 8th, so yeah.

Michiko to Hatchin is quite good. I think I might have it on my HD. I watched it a couple years ago.

7 episodes in and don't think too much of it, really. Super episodic, protagonist is a total personality vacuum and the supporting cast aren't much better, and the animation isn't much to write home about (although some of background art is very pretty).
SAO is so overrated. I started watching SAO over a year ago, but I stopped at around episode 15 and never continued. I really don't see what all the hype is about. I'd say the anime is mediocre at best.

Defiitely agreed.

not surprising toei is butchering the quality of super like they did to sailor moon crystal, i never pinned my hopes on this being good anyways. super saiyan god? beerus? lame. i'd be happy if they ditched the fighting all together and just focus on fun slice-of-life stuff.

about to watch millenium actress soon, anybody else see it?

They kinda had that in early Dragonball, you could rewatch that.

All sarcasm aside, I never really quite understood the appeal of Boku no Pico at all. It feels like this anime is popular for all of the wrong reasons, even if they do know that this anime is legitimately awful, and that's not getting into the pedophilia aspects of this show.

I get that this is supposed to be a joke, but this is the kind of joke that I'm honestly getting sick of reading and hearing about. Not that I care on a personal level on what critics of anime on a meta level thinks, but I would like to think that is one of the few stereotypes that is at least worth debunking, but I might just be making a mountain out of a molehill with this one.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Yeah, SAO was pretty good IMO, the transition in the second half was a little bit slow at first but it picked up. The idea of being in a virtual reality world has always interested me. Just not the whole: Die in-game and you die IRL.

A friend of mine watched SAO 2 and said it was nothing like the first, just a major let down.

I wouldn't be surprised if Guts and Griffith ends up having an enemy mine moment beforehand, afterward you can count on few more story arcs of Guts' and friends going on adventures before finally facing off against his former effeminate friend for real.
