You could start with Space Dandy. Is it a little silly, but has a great sci-fi world.

I've now finished the third season of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, 26 episodes left to go.
In order to avoid spoiling the show for anyone, I honestly can't go into any detail at all about my feelings on any specific events. But those of you that have seen it know exactly what I've just experienced. I'm incredibly interested to see where things go from here, this show has some serious balls.
Accidentally bought two £120 Gurren Lagann box sets.
Whoops.
Finished Legend of the Galactic Heroes last night. I wouldn't say this is my favourite anime, but I'm having a hard time thinking of a series better than this. I doubt it's going to "ruin anime forever" for me but it's definitely going to leave a lasting impression.
The show is fantastic, but it takes some commitment, and that's why I hesitate to recommend this to everyone. It's 110 episodes long, has very little humour, and most of the show consists of people sitting down and talking, standing up and talking, or drinking tea and talking. But if you have a decent attention span and are willing to get familiar with these characters and immerse yourself in the world, those scenes of two people sitting in chairs chatting it up can be some of the most riveting animated scenes you've ever seen. It's a wonderful character-driven story that will take you on a journey filled with military strategy, politics, manly space-emotions, and really leave you wanting a cup of tea. Check it out sometime.

A scene where Kalifa molested Nami can get anybody into One Piece.

In Attack on Titan, we finally find the identify of the female titan. This is spoiler free.

That's a serious accusation!
I'm really glad I gave Kill la Kill another chance. It's been a while since I got into an anime series, and although it can be silly at times, I am enjoying it so far (I'm only about a dozen episodes in).
One Piece has now added another Dragonball cast into their roster as Yamcha's VA is voicing Sabo. I know it's Toei and all and the fact that the author's a fan of Dragonball but still, lol.

I don't get the blonde chick's motivation in Attack on Titan. And I have no clue what was going on with those flashbacks.

Yeah, her. I don't know the reason for anything she does.

Even the manga only touched this one slightly via two butt buddies who turns out to be the colossal titan and armored titan. I remembered the time when one of them said that another way to attack the titan is by shoving something up its ass?

lolwtf. I didn't even know they had a hole there.
I would like them to explain this shit. It's a decent show, (nothing to rave about like people have been) but if there's any attempt to explain why this bitch has done this evil shit, I missed it. Whatever it is going on in her head, I get an impression that she feels justified somehow and I don't know why, but perhaps I'm mistaken on that matter. Maybe I just wasn't paying close enough attention. I'm sure another season is coming, so hopefully this is cleared up then.

The long journey has finally come to an end.
With all things considered, I kinda felt that the true protagonist of the series was in fact Sasuke.

New episode of Akame Ga Kill is out, if you haven't watched any of it yet be prepared for FEELS.
Too long since I last posted, oh well.

I've just caught up with the manga and to be honest I don't even know why I am following this series. It's so edgy and grimdark it's almost comical and most of the characters suck to the point where the constant 'tragedy' should be lame but somehow it's actually ok. I can't say I really 'like' this series but i'm gonna keep reading because my standards aren't very high I guess.
Speaking of low standards i'm glad Naruto's finally over. Shippuden was a total letdown but maybe the new short story things will be a nice epilouge to the story because that last chapter sure as hell wasn't good enough.
It feels like most of the stuff i'm reading these days is just ok but I like Kingdom, Dededededestruction, and One Piece.
Netflix needs to step up their game with anime. They need some Outlaw Star.
Speaking of Netflix, they recently recommended me the Trigun movie. I have no idea Trigun had a movie! I'll have to watch it.
What other series has movies that I somehow missed? Also, what are some good anime movies?

Have you seen Ghost in the Shell? I think it really lays the groundwork for Stand Alone Complex and 2nd Gig.
